Chapter 262: Kidnap the Kidnapers

LiAi who was standing beside Tsuki wondered why this adult man was tall. Many people praised her uncle for being so tall and handsome but Tsuki was even taller, like a high raised building to her eyes. She wondered how she could be so tall and asked curiously, "Brother, brother, how do you get tall? What did you eat to get tall?"

Tsuki was looking at his back and muttered under his breaths, "Maybe I saw it wrong," then he turned to LiAi and warmly smiled, "I ate a lot, the key is to eat as much as you can, everything and more than your friends! Of course it’s not recommended to eat until you feel your stomach hurts."

Li Ai let out a long, thoughtful hum, "That means mama must have eaten a lot. She’s tall too."

"Mama?" Tsuki bent down curiously and found that Li Ai was holding to a paper. In that paper was a drawing made out of colorful crayons and in it was three adults. One adult was with a long hair, looking pretty. The other adult was smiling,a man with brown hair while there was one more man with a grumpy face but looked simply handsome from the rest with stars drawn around his head. "Oh dear, you’re a good artist Li Ai," praised Tsuki Ashe looked at the drawing and the messy names written beside the characters.

"Mama Ai Lin. Papa Zi Chen. Uncle Xiao."

Huhhhhh?

Tsuki’s eyes almost bulged as he took a double take on what he had just read. Who- WHO WAS THE FATHER?

He was about to panic, finally sinking the realization that his boss had a hidden child but should he be worried? Secret it is but the mother is Miss AiLin. Wouldn’t the entire family be rejoiced? Hell, even the grandfather would start to create another FunLand play parks again! No no, knowing his aunt and uncle they wouldn’t stop there to pamper their grandchildren, they would even buy lands and love their grandchildren till their grave time.

S... So then why was she hidden?

She even looks like AiLin, a bit like Li ZiChen- just tiny bit like him- but daughters look cuter if they look like their mother right???

In swarm of emotions, Tsuki felt his head growing dizzier by seconds. He questioned if he should break the news and when he recalled he was ordered to take Li AI’s hair, he finally understood that Li ZiChen wanted to know if they have any blood relation...

"Y- your papa and mama is pretty..."

"Right?!" Li Ai had been walking all around school to show off her parents which made most adults to look at her sadly but the other children had hyped and agreed with her. To see an adult who would be happy for her parents made the little girl over the moon almost instantly. "Hehe you see my mama... I won’t be able to see her as often soon and I think she would be happy seeing this drawing before I leave right? I want to draw her a special picture."

The girl was still too young but her words sounded more mature than her peers, typical of children who didn’t want to worry adults around them about themselves because they were used to being told a nuisance.

Tsuki knew what the girl felt as he himself had also gone through similar situations. Back then he feared his father would be too tired raising him alone after his mother had died so he bottled up all his emotions and problems. Now even as adult he found it hard to share his own feelings if not for his twin brother.

"She will be happy, she would be too happy," Tsuki convinced her and the girl spread her smile wide. After that the two sat beside each other and began sharing stories, most came from Li Ai who had spoken about how pretty she found her mother to be. Tsuki out of curiosity had also asked her, "Why do you call the woman in your drawing your mother?"

Humming Li Ai swung her legs and looked at the ground, "Because she is my mother."

It was a short words that confirm nothing but Tsuki could see that the girl hadn’t answered him out of naivety. Instead she was evading from answering him as if she knew that the truth she be kept a secret. He could also understand why his boss had asked him to pluck her fresh hair. Considering there was no concrete proof that LiAi and him is truly relises as a father and daughter, he couldn’t easily bring Liai back to his custody. He couldn’t tell whether the adult who took care of Liai is someone trustworthy either but he doubted that they would be willing to let LiAi be taken from them.

"Hmm where’s uncle Xiao..."

Curious Tsuki looked around as the rest of the children had made their way back home, being picked by their parents all except for Li Ai. He wondered, "Was he always late?"

"No, usually he’s not. Today manager Gou should be here," said Li Ai, "Because uncle is busy with another award ceremony he needs to be there the whole day and Manager Gou would bring me back home."

"Hm, I see, well don’t worry! I’m here aren’t I? Trust me, it won’t be boring as long as you have me here, should we play a game together?" Tsuki had gotten her hair and he could immediately leave. But for some reason he didn’t want to quickly go. He decided to go only after he saw the manager Li Ai had mentioned, and promise to quickly flee and let her go without leaving a trace. For now to see the girl bored and possibly lonely had hurt his soul and he didn’t mind taking care of children as deep down he had wanted to be a children nurse.

Not long after a black van had stopped right in front of them. And someone came out, sweaty, his clothes turning darker from his sweat and his expression scrunched as if he was having a terrible stomachache. He first look at LiAi and then at Tsuki who was studying him from the top of his head to his toes. He quickly pulled a smile and looked at LiAi nervously, "Uncle Gou is here Li Ai! Let’s go home quickly alright?"

"Okay~"

Before she went, LiAi took the toys she had taken out from her bag to show Tsuki, struggling as there were to many of them until Tsuki had helped her. He felt a little sad to see her going but found that her presence wasn’t only soothing but reminded him of his childhood. He then packed her bag, placing it to the sweaty manager’s hands.

"You took too long, I can tell you’re busy but the environment these days are dangerous so make sure you pick her up quicker next time," his tone was friendly, even polite with a wide smile that should put any people at ease but seeing him, manager Gou’s face appear to look apprehensive.

"O- oh of course, there was an accident at the road so I couldn’t quickly come," said manager Gou as he bowed his head.

Tsuki looked into the car and recalled how the manager had walked out from the backseat, "You’re not driving today?"

"A- ah?" The manager stammered, "No, t- the intern will be driving today. If that’s all, we will go. Come li ai," he waved his hand as Li Ai took it but Tsuki frowned.

He moved forward, stopping the car right as the door was slid open. He reached out his hand and then looked inside, and upon seeing a man with face covered with ski mask, he became alert and pulled one of the man from inside the car with a loud smash. But before he could take LiAi’s hands, the manager had pushed her inside the car, yelling to the driver, "Go! Gogo go gogo!"

The car immediately drove and even though Tsuki managed to get a hold of the car’s door, the driver had sped up. His feet couldn’t catch up, causing him to slip and fall on the ground rolling.

Alerted, Tsuki puzzled their information, realizing that LiAi had been kidnapped. He looked at the car’s plate, remembering the number in his head before rushing back to one of the man he had managed to pull from the car. He didn’t allow the other man to run away and make an escape and instead, he captured him by his neck, put him at a chokehold and then broke his two arms in a swift move, knowing well that his plan was to run away before police arrived.

Tsuki then made a phone call but not to the police first, he had called Li ZiChen with his voice severe in haste, "Boss. The girl was kidnapped by Xiao Muchen’s manager. He claims himself as Manager Gou who LiAi seems to know. Yes? Yes. I will make sure to tell all our men to hunt them."
