Mrs Fox Heinous Revenge: Can You Love A Villainess like Me?
Chapter 242: Striking Resemblance-I

Chapter 242: Striking Resemblance-I

Determined she softened her words, "True I might be able to talk to the director but I’d like to talk it to you Director Li," she then walked closer, reaching out her hand which landed on nothing as Li ZiChen had slapped it away with a deep frown. He sighed and went to rub his hand at the corner of his suits, causing FangMin’s eyes to go wide from shock. Not only was Li ZiChen was ignoring her approach, he was also disgusted at her and there was nothing that hurt her pride more than disgust.

Most times men looked down on her due to her history or background. She hated it and she always proved herself otherwise by tricking those men into losing their lives for her. But that doesn’t mean disgust doesn’t hurt her, it didn’t only hurt her pride which was always higher than her height but also made her vengeful.

"I understand," she softly placed her hand on her eyes, "I must have made you feel uncomfortable. I- I just thought that you’re an amazing person Director Li. I heard that you had personally directed and wrote scripts for a lot of movies that had ended up in the hall of fame. That’s why I want to... know you better, to talk to you about..."

AiLin could hear FangMin rambling aloud, trying her best to tug any heartstrings available on Li ZiChen so he would soften up, perhaps feeling bad and guilty so in the end try to gently soothed her.

This was something AiLin was familiar. After all it’s the things that Jiang NianNian often does, making her feel small and orchestrated. When someone sided with her, Jiang NianNian would find ways to make it as if AiLin had done it and she was the victim, things snowballed from there that no matter what she says people thinks she deserves it and even by the time they found out of Jiang NianNian’s bitter attitude toward her was personal, they still wasn’t on her side as she must have deserved it due to her nature of being a "fox".

Crying, letting tears and sadness on her face, using sweet words to manipulate others. AiLin was never good at it, she couldn’t do it unless it was to her targets and even if she did it was not such a natural act. Perhaps because she knows begging for such things and crying would only cause her more troubles, making her fix all her problems alone. Maybe why FangMin or Jiang NianNian could do what they do best was due to how loving their families are, enough to make them think that their tears can swept away all problems under the rug.

She didn’t noticed her hands that had reached to the very edge of Li ZiChen’s suit. The hold was so soft that it didn’t even tug his fabric, not enough to create tension or to make him known that she was now holding to him. After all she didn’t want to bother him or force so that he would look at her instead of FangMin. She trust him and she didn’t want to show that she hates him talking to another woman but it still didn’t feel good.

She wasn’t clingy is she?

"Go," Li ZiChen demanded.

FangMin was at loss at how her tricks failed miserably. Li ZiChen even looked more upset than before and he stepped around turning to look at AiLin, "I’m sorry that distracted us. I thought it was someone who would give an important announcement, turns out it was a useless droll."

FangMin’s eyes widened. She didn’t know that there was someone behind li ZiChen! His height towered so much that it had hid the woman over his broad shoulders. It didn’t help that when she curiously tried to look at the girl and forcing her way to see her face, li ZiChen had extended his hand, stopping her from her action, "If I have to say it one more time, I’ll make you gone from my eyes forever."

That faint threat also meant that he would make sure that there would be no more place for her in the entertainment industry as he didn’t want to see her face. FangMin stiffened. She felt crossed and embarrassed. As much as she wanted to yell at him, this was Li ZiChen. She can’t afford offending him. She dawdled before seeing li ZiChen readying to call someone important and ran away despite furiously turning her head around to catch a glimpse of the woman he was talking to.

AiLin saw her running away and smiled, showing her usual self, "She is weird you know? I think she’s after you."

"She’s after the Li family, not me," he responded callously, "I didn’t know what to do, I know you wouldn’t want any gossips to be spread for your acting career when it had just started."

"Huh? No, I don’t really mind. I, actually, I do mind. I don’t want the film to be suddenly shut on its production considering how hard you and JingYi work on it."

He smiled smugly, placing his hand on her head and gently rubbed it, "Trust me. No matter what happens, this movie will be on the theater. I’ll make sure of it."

Though there was no detailed future planned out in front of her, she could already believe in his words, nodding her head she agreed with him.

"Let’s return back," he said, kissing her forehead, "If we stay any longer I doubt I’ll ever let you go back."

"Don’t let me go back then?" She teased only to see him ready to cup her face and lick her lips. She stopped him, not wanting to thirst for more. It’d be hell if they do it here. "I didn’t mean it seriously."

"You should be careful then," he flicked her nose lightly. "To me those words are tempting enough that I could just take a bite of you now."

’Director Li you are so bold," she laughed as they walked back, returning to their usual conversation. "What if suddenly a scandal broke out about me?"

"That won’t happen," he ensured her.

"I mean if it does, what would you do? Will you be very upset?" She questioned whole holding her fingers together.

"Of course," he confirmed, when she looked at him, he looked back with a grin, "Because I have to make sure that person disappears for good for daring to make you feel upset. If it makes you sad, I’ll be sad. If it makes you happy, I’ll be happy. So don’t worry about anything, those people who wants to see you suffer, and the others ready to rip apart your image they won’t touch you, I’m here to make sure that will never happen."

Such words easily left his lips was enough to make her stress lessen, she was grateful to have li ZiChen around her and if all those sufferings she went through was just so she could meet him, those bad days want actually all bad.

"Good luck," he kissed her forehead before she left, making her giddy all over. She looked to left and right before standing in her tiptoes and kissing his lips. They both look at each other before finally parting way back to the acting set but even after they parted their ways, their eyes were still on each other, not wanting to look away. Thankfully FangMin was too busy being angry that she didn’t noticed this though someone else did.

"On the next scene," said director Gu, "We can use stunt, Miss AiLin," he explained. "All you have to do is hit to fight back too badly, the guys here will be pretending to rip your outer shirt but don’t worry before that would happen I should have the scene cut."

"Alright, but I won’t be needing the stung, how long will the struggle acts for?"

"It would be too long for five minutes so it would be only a minute and forty," Director Gu then turned toward Director Chu nodding his head at the sign, "I’m glad to work with someone so easy such as you, Miss AiLin! Good luck on the next scene. Everyone on position now!"

AiLin retreated to inside of the class that was small, this was truthfully to pretend as in the novel the main character had been embarrassed by everyone, accused of stealing. The best way to shame a good person is by blaming the, for something that hadn’t happened and then ripping away their dignity by demanding an apology or a threat. The main character refused to apologize as she had done nothing wrong or steal, she couldn’t afford stealing either as her family would not hesitate before killing her.

She rehearsed the words in her head that she had to act out yet she wasn’t aware of the people eyeing for her, smiling. The actors brought were the ones who she wasn’t very familiar, most of them playing supporting characters and only interact with her during the scenes. AiLin herself didn’t pay any mind to them but when she had looked at them an uneasy smile appeared on one of the men’s face, which became eyecatching to her.
