Mrs Fox Heinous Revenge: Can You Love A Villainess like Me?
Chapter 193: Fractured Relationship

Chapter 193: Fractured Relationship

Mei Hua had spent the past few days in quiet, not because she wanted to learn from her mistakes but because she had gone back to make plans and thought of a way to prove to everyone that AiLin wasn’t someone they should choose above her, that she was defective.

When she had gathered everything she called "proof," Mei Hua immediately jumped for joy and tried to contact Li ZiChen to no avail. She almost went insane trying to find him without a lead, especially since Li JingYi hadn’t returned her calls either, completely blocking her. At first, she was angry, but now she didn’t care, as she was an inch closer to her goal of marrying Li ZiChen.

Her smile was wide when she saw him even if Li ZiChen’s expression was the complete opposite, drenched with disgust as well as annoyance by how she had managed to find his location again.

"Wait! Listen to me, Zi Chen. Let me go!" She then yelled at Tsuki who had pulled her arms on her back, pinning her in place. "Don’t you know who I am?!" She snapped, "You will be sorry when you find out who I am!"

Tsuki rolled his eyes but seeing Li ZiChen’s cold glint, he smiled smugly before releasing her hands. His face was polite and also surprised as if fearing the mistake he had made, "Oh dear! You must be Miss Mei! I forgot how important you are to our family’s head. My deepest apologies."

A wild grin adorned Mei Hua’s face, "Right. You know who I am now so none of you should dare lay a hand on me. When I become your-"

"What do you want." Li ZiChen didn’t look at her but instead at the place in front of him, "You’re only alive because of your mother’s help to AiLin, don’t you realize that by now?"

The smile she had faltered and her lips twitched but she wasn’t someone who would easily give up. She showed him a wider smile, "Listen Zi Chen," she said, trying to hold her grin wider but annoyed when he saw him looking at places that weren’t her. She tried to stand in front of him only to see his hand shooting forward and all of a sudden her body fell on the ground.

Li ZiChen had pushed her.

Her face was colored in shock as if she never expected all those threats Li ZiChen made would ever make to happen.

"You’re deceived by her," she immediately said, her face a mix of concern and urgency, "She. She’s a killer!"

Li ZiChen’s eyelids barely twitched a subtle movement that hinted at his thoughts. His gaze shifted briefly to Taiyo, who caught the silent cue and sprang into action. "Clear the place," Taiyo barked at the staff. Without hesitation, the employees scattered, ushering out every bystander. Within minutes, the room was empty.

Only then did Li ZiChen speak, his tone so casual it bordered on apathetic. "What did she kill?" he asked, his voice devoid of emotion, as though inquiring about a mundane detail rather than a murder.

His question sent ripples through the room. It wasn’t worry, nor was it anger, it was disinterest, almost a detached acceptance. He asked not because he cared about the act itself, but only to see how deep Mei Hua had dug and how others could also dig as much as she did. His tone carried an unspoken truth; whatever AiLin had done, it wouldn’t change his stance on her.

Mei Hua, however, misread him entirely. She mistook his dispassionate tone for worry, a crack in his unwavering support for AiLin. Her smile widened with triumph, her heart racing with anticipation.

This was her chance, she thought gleefully, her voice brimming with confidence, "Back in high school, you don’t know what she did, but I’ll tell you!" Mei Hua leaned in slightly, her excitement palpable. She was ready to revel in the moment when Li ZiChen would finally turn against AiLin, opening his eyes to the woman she believed herself to be— the better choice.

"Back in high school?"

"She was someone who would sleep with all the male classmates in her year. She’s famous for it," said Mei Hua while Li ZiChen’s eyes that were calm quickly changed into a deadly glare. The foolish girl continued on, "I heard about it all, of how even her parents were so ashamed by her that they decided to not acknowledge her as their daughter. This is why she had never make any appearances from the Hua Family. It had even came to a point that she became pregnant after sleeping with a classmate but in fear of everything being brought to surface, she killed her child- yes, abortion!"

Every men that had followed Li ZiChen heard Mei Hua’s words and even their face had gone into dread, gone was the blood coursing in their veins as they even realize the biggest mistake that Mei Hua had done, not knowing that he accusations were all false and it was done by her bullies in meanings to destroy AiLin’s reputation.

It seemed Mei Hua had dug deep enough but hadn’t scratched the real surface.

"Gloves," Li ZiChen reached out his hand while the secretary who was more mild than the rest of his men shrink away.

He could only advise fearfully, "Think about it again, sir! This is a bad idea. If you do this.."

"Gloves." This time it wasn’t a request but a demand.

Tsuki the more violent one immediately jumped and pulled the gloves from his pocket, placing it to Li ZiChen’s hands, "My fingers aren’t as long as yours so it might be slightly smaller than you expect, sir. But I think this should be usable."

Mei Hua was confused. Why gloves? Was that glove any importance to their conversation?

"Either way, there is one more important thing," Mei Hua uttered with a smile, she was about to continue when suddenly pain echoed on her jaw as something powerful had grabbed her chin. Her eyes shook, dizziness filled her head as she saw Li ZiChen’s angered face that was so frightening right across her face.

"You have spoken enough," he said, his veins that crawl on his neck pulsated in anger. "Your grating voice is about to kill me from anger. You don’t even know what happened yet you- speak of her pain so easily and even smile while doing it. Was it fun? Do you want to know how it feels to be in her position?"

Mei Hua had always admired Li ZiChen from a young age. She always tried to get to close to him but unlike JingYi, he was more shut off as that disinterest he showed to her who was spoiled as a child seemed to only fuel her interest in him even more.

Even in his middle school when he had suddenly rebelled and everyone feared him, Mei Hua lingered around him, trying to befriend him even if she was met with coldness. At one point, Li ZiChen’s hatred toward women disappeared by high school and she believed it was because of all her hardwork as she was the only woman known to be closest in his environment.

That was why she was confident that Li ZiChen would always come back to her.

After all, she was the woman who had made him feel love again, to learn that women aren’t as frightening as the teacher who had assaulted him.

But she never knew that she wasn’t the reason, that someone else was the real person who had helped him overcome his traumas.

And she had just insulted that savior of his.

Without her knowing, Mei Hua had became one of the women who he had always despised, the women who would jump to him, trying to get on his good side even if it means by harming others who are innocent.

What Li ZiChen truly despise in fact, wasn’t woman.

It was the people who would sacrifice others for their own desire, the people who are so heinous that they couldn’t be called as humans any longer.

Blood splatters across the room.

"W- Why?" Mei Hua asked, her voice breaking.

Li ZiChen was calm and collected but his movements weren’t. He didn’t like hurting women the most, as a man he dislike the idea of hurting the people that should be protected but his angers were raising high and not only had Mei Hua harmed AiLin with her words, she had also almost put JingYi into a danger that could cause him death.

He had only slapped her once, enough for blood to splatter on the ground and for Mei Hua to sway on the floor, her eyes shaking in fear and the pain stinging her entire body caused her tears to mess her face.

"I- What I said is the truth, She’s a defective broken and useless-" she couldn’t say anymore when she saw Li ZiChen’s hands raised, "I’M SORRY!" she yelled, her voice cracking, "I’M SORRY, PLEASE NO MORE!"

"That’s the last chance. Bring her to the police," Li ZiChen then ordered, "I have had enough. If I kill her Dr Mei can’t provide anymore counseling to AiLin."

As he was about to turn his body, his eyes flinched.

He saw from the corner of his eyes that AiLin had watched everything, worse heard everything that came out from Mei Hua’s mouth.

She doesn’t know how much Li ZiChen had searched about her background or about her abortion but to see it by her own eyes as Mei Hua uncovered the pain of her past, she felt as if she had been stabbed and the same knife had been used to squeeze her organs.

She found her own lips trembling, her entire body shaking as the word "Defective" ran through her mind.
