Mrs Fox Heinous Revenge: Can You Love A Villainess like Me? -
Chapter 165: Her Deepest Flaw
Chapter 165: Her Deepest Flaw
The loud fight echoed inside the Mei Family household. Dr. Mei was at lost as she had kicked out her daughter out of her own house and had slumped in the living room while waiting for Mei Hua to walk downstairs after the fit of wailing she has and to walk out of the house. Her husband accompanied her, as he was also disappointed by what Mei Hua had done. If it wasn’t because of Li ZiChen’s kindness to their family’s friendships, he must have put Mei Hua behind bars and she was actually very lucky to only suffer being cut off from Li Family.
Dr. Mei was at loss for words as she covered her face with her hands, "I thought I have surrounded her with nothing but a good parenting. Was I too lenient to her? How could I not see that deep down there is this side of my daughter that is so egoistical and so envious? I knew she liked ZiChen but I thought she had moved into liking JingYi, it seems even though I could help many patients with their inner emotions I can’t even see my own daughter’s real nature."
It was a heartbreaking comment coming from a mother who is also a psychiatrist and her husband gently placed his hand on her shoulders, "No. The fault lies in me. You were busy and I should have been there to look at Mei Hua." Though to be very honest that isn’t true. The couple have always been a very loving and gentle parents. They were also strict to Mei Hua when it comes to doing right and wrongs, and they had never became relenting toward Mei Hua because of their love. But Mei Hua was simply a very envious girl. Though she had everything, she had never felt that it was enough and due to the attention she got from being with the Li siblings, Mei Hua always feels that the world revolves around her.
It was something that Dr Mei had regretted knowing too late but Mei Hua wasn’t apologetic at all.
Instead, in her room she was still in her outburst, she was unable to accept the fact that her parents had thrown her out of the house when she was their one and only daughter.
He cursed under her breaths, wishing that her mother would die in a ditch and how unfair she was as she was only doing what’s necessary for herself. It wasn’t her fault that Li ZiChen was stolen by someone else, it was her responsibility to wake him up from the clutches of that whore! She was right and they were all very wrong!
About Li JingYi and his stalker? She didn’t do anything but pitch Li JingYi with someone else so he would forget about liking her. It wasn’t her fault that the woman turns to be such a crazy stalker and ended up hurting him. She didn’t know that it would go to the point where the stalker would harm him.
She doesn’t know! So it isn’t her fault, is it?!
She was angry by everyone who just keep blaming on her, her teeth gnashes as she rushed out of her room and then walking to the hallway where she could hear the words spoken from the living room of her parents who were still trying to comprehend their actions that had led to this incident.
"...is a good person," said Dr Mei. "I have spoken to her and I noticed from the medical files I have received she hasn’t gone through a single moment of peace in her life."
"You mean, Miss AiLin?" Asked the husband and Dr Mei nodded in reply.
"I can’t tell you in details what have happened, but to think that such a brave woman trying to survive is now being hurt by my daughter, I can only feel shame."
Mei Hua was furious listening to the conversation. What? Her mother is taking AiLin as her patient?! She knew that her mother was also a psychiatrist for many wealthy families but she never heard about her patient being none other than AiLin. Was this why her mother had chosen AiLin? Because to her mother’s eyes, AiLin had suffered more than her?
But what could a bitch like her ever suffer from?!
In a fit of rage, Mei Hua’s eyes moved to her mother’s study room. She clicked her tongue as she rushed toward the door knob and turn it downward. It was locked but she wasn’t worried. Opening the passcode on the top of the doorknob, she easily punched the date of her mother’s graduation date as a psychiatrist. She knew her mother wasn’t even aware of her habit in snooping around for informations, meaning that they aren’t aware of her knowing the passcode to her mother’s study room.
For now she still has some time and she rushed entering the study room and proceeded to maneuver toward the cupboard that was filled with a lot of files. Those files contains all the medical informations about each patient she had taken care of and was neatly organized by letters.
Smiling, Mei Hua wanted to know what AiLin had gone through and why everyone pity her so much.
Perhaps Li ZiChen didn’t even like or "love" her. He’s nice and kind so he must have protected her because he pitied her and because all AiLin does is use her terrible pasts to make others feel pity and guilty to her. Yeah, that will make sense, thought Mei Hua. AiLin must have been performing well as a victim of her pasts and Li ZiChen who had once suffered a sexual assault must have felt bad for her and believed it as love.
Yes. Yes! So she still has time to uncover the truth and open his eyes again!
As Mei Hua pulled the file that was named "AiLin", the document file was fresher than the rest. A newly printed medical informations of AiLin’s health and her health record. But as she flipped, Mei Hua’s eyes widened upon realizing that she must have gotten the one secret that even Li ZiChen wasn’t aware of. Her eyes shook in startle but her grin grew maddeningly wider.
When the next weekend came around the corner, AiLin was now staring at the mirror nervously as she fixed her blouse multiple times and turned around to look at her skirt that was long enough to cover her knees.
She was sure this should be a great clothing to wear when a girl is about to meet their in laws but for some reason she felt extremely nervous about it. She then saw her phone buzzed as her younger sister Vicky encouraged her clothing to look very polite and beautiful, telling her she shouldn’t worry of meeting the Li family as they are all consists of very kind people since they have met before.
AiLin tapped back to her phone.
[I’m not sure if this looks well enough]
[Oh sister! Don’t worry, what’s matter is one’s attitude to make a first impression, not their looks]
She chuckled and answered back [But the first look is what makes the first impression]
[yeah that’s true but look at yourself! Is there anyone insane enough to tell you that you look rude when you look so pleasing in the eyes?]
AiLin chuckled and answered after a while, [I’ll text you back later then Vicky, thank you for helping me choosing the clothes.]
[sure! But don’t forget our meeting in Monday! My friend is really excited to see you.]
[of course.]
After pushing her phone back to her purse, she walked out of the room to find Li ZiChen who was looking dashing in his casual attire. As it has gotten colder he was dressed in a blue sweater with an inner white shirt. His hair was let loose around his forehead, giving him a calmer and approachable air than his usual attire that consists of mostly black suits and grey ties.
He walked toward her, smiling, "I see you have brought the purse I bought for you."
AiLin smiled and nodded, "I don’t have any good purses."
"They won’t care," he ensured her, "My family tends to not care about money and how one look in lavish clothings or less than those."
"Mhm, I know. Many people have encouraged me, telling me that your family would never look down on me. But that wasn’t what I’m scared about," she spoke honestly. Ever since their bodies intertwined, she felt a sense of closeness toward Li ZiChen that she couldn’t express with just words. They weren’t partners in crime anymore, but they weren’t lover either.
What puts her mind in ease is how never once Li ZiChen demanded a label in their relationship, knowing how scared she is to take a step further for it.
"I want to look good," AiLin smiled softly, "To your family, I want to make a great impression. Do you know if your mother has any hobbies? Maybe I can talk about it with her."
"The theatric plays, she loves them. As you also love watching plays, you should definitely talk about it with her."
"Oh, alright!" She answered cheerfully as she watched Li ZiChen opening the door of their apartment but soon she stopped as realization came down to her.
Did she ever tell him that she likes theatric plays? She didn’t feel like she did but he seemed so certain that she liked it so maybe she did? She hummed in her mind but decided not to think too much of it, brushing it off as it was a simple mistake on her part.
