Mrs Fox Heinous Revenge: Can You Love A Villainess like Me? -
Chapter 101: Pretentious Mail
Chapter 101: Pretentious Mail
The afternoon was bright and AiLin found herself with nothing to do as she lounge on the sofa of the mansion. When she had turned on her TV, she found out the matter of last night where the Sparrow Nightclub was now in closing as many incidents had been found recorded in the place and how the owner was now taken to custody for his arrest.
She hummed seeing OuYang’s face in suffering when suddenly she heard Nanny Po calling her out for a cup of juice. When she stood up, she accidentally caught the voice coming from the TV, "...condition has been concerning."
"Wait Nanny Po," she said to the old nanny and picked the remote, turning on the loudness.
"Mister OuYang, the owner of Sparrow Nightclub was found with his eyes bleeding as he had fallen from the second floor of the nightclub in attempt to end himself. Currently, he has lost the ability to see and speak."
"But I didn’t properly cut his tongue," she whispered, "He shouldn’t have lost his ability to speak, right?"
She might have stapled his mouth and filled it with nails but hey, that won’t be enough to properly cause him to be mute. So how was he mute for life? Not only that, his eyes have been crushed from falling out of the second floor?
She doubted that Li ZiChen had let him go to kill himself.
Did it happen in a struggle when he was about to be apprehended?
Something didn’t add up.
PING
AiLin stopped her movement and thanked Nanny Po for the glass of juice when she received a message from her sister Vicky.
[HuaHua Vicky: Sister AiLin! There’s a new opening for brother Samuel’s new game! You know that he is a software engineer who developed a few famous game in Beijing right? He’s going to release a new game and he wanted to invite you but he’s too shy! Mother and father cannot come, so I wish you can come with me.]
She had spent her past few days talking back to back with Vicky which allowed her to find more about Hua Family. Like how her grandmother never likes to show herself but only does it when there’s a needed family meeting or gathering. She also found out that her mother despise her own name, but think that changing their traditional Chinese name into an English one is a step ahead to walk out of their toxic household.
She also learned that Samuel is a CEO of his own company, refusing the help of Hua Family despite their grandmother coddling him as he’s the oldest grandson of the family. Now, his games has been played all over the world even overseas, a game that she had started playing last night to support her brother too.
Delighted, she took the chance of bonding with her new family almost immediately.
[AiLin: Of course! Let me know the date!]
[HuaHua Vicky: It is in two days. You can come with Mr Li if you’d like!]
She felt her cheeks burn when Vicky called out Li ZiChen’s name but when her phone was shut, she suddenly she caught herself smiling at the dark screen and frowned. She pinched her cheeks and huffed.
Sitting back in the sofa, she rethought of her kiss with Li ZiChen. She did kiss him. They kissed. Those kiss was relentlessly sweet but— BUT they are not going to continue this ever again.
She won’t ever kiss him. Not now, never, not in the future.
He is a kind man and it would be extremely unfair for her to continue stringing with his heartstrings when she has no plan to continue on falling in love with him. She won’t fall in love, she won’t get into a relationship, and that’s the end of the story.
It was a physical attraction. As crude as it sounds, she doesn’t think she was capable of love, and if truth to be said, Li ZiChen is deserving to find someone else who could cater to his needs, someone younger, prettier, and... ahem, anyway. She didn’t want to continue the thought as itchiness appeared on her chest.
Just as she thought about Li ZiChen, someone else had messaged her in her phone, causing her chest to be vibrated where she had put the phone at.
[It’s Li JingYi: Miss AiLin, can we possibly meet up today at three forty five?]
AiLin was surprised by the sudden unexpected text. She didn’t know that she would be receiving a text from someone none other than Li ZiChen’s one and only younger brother. She didn’t think much of it since the conversation seemed so serious, she wondered if this was about Li ZiChen and that worried her heart even more.
Pressing her fingers, she didn’t think much of it other than agreeing on the idea of the meeting.
[AiLin: Alright, where will we be meeting up?]
[It’s Li JingYi: JS Entertainment entrance.]
Meanwhile on the other side of Li JingYi’s phone, someone was tapping under his identity meticulously. The other person with the long black hair frowned as her long nails prevented her from typing any faster before Li JingYi would come back and asked her for his phone. She made sure her typing was neat and once she was done, she deleted the chat history and placed his phone to the original position.
Li JingYi came back with a sigh, "I might as well change the shirt."
"Sorry JingYi. I didn’t mean to spill the coke on you. I should have known better that fresh set of nails would always get me in trouble."
"Don’t worry about it," Li JingYi said happily. If it was anyone else, he would have been fuming but it was her after all, a childhood sweetheart of his, "I can simply ask secretary Ji to get me a new set of clothes. Are you sure you’re done with your makeup?"
"Just a bit more," MeiHua said as she looked at the mirror with a grin. "That old hag think she could take what’s mine?"
She scoffed underneath her beautiful face, "That won’t ever happen. Dream on, old hag."
"Did you say something?" Li JingYi said upon seeing MeiHua’s wide smile.
"I’m excited," said MeiHua, "JS Entertainment must have a lot of cameras, right?"
