Chapter 62: Turning Hostile
Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Turning Hostile
Fu Shinian seemed to read what was on her mind, giving her no chance to argue, and quickly flipped her beneath him, his gaze intensely consuming her as if he wanted to brand her.
At that moment, Su Mu still felt uncontrollably tense.
Fu Shinian did not move immediately as he had before. This time, he was full of patience, locking eyes with Su Mu for several minutes, seemingly observing every emotion she harbored. Only after she awkwardly averted her gaze did his hand slowly reach for the buttons on her nightgown:
"Trust me," he said.
Su Mu wanted to trust him, but she couldn’t deny that all her bitter memories were also given by him. At least in this regard, Fu Shinian’s credibility was not high for Su Mu.
A chill began to develop in her chest, and almost reflexively, Su Mu reached to stop his ensuing actions, but Fu Shinian, having already seen through her, stopped her hands above her head before she could move.
The next second, he leaned down and kissed her.
Su Mu widened her eyes in disbelief.
In her memory, he had never kissed her. In two years of marriage, he had always prioritized his feelings, rarely considering her emotions. Since there was no love, he would not give her a good morning kiss or a goodnight kiss, not even bending down to kiss her when he possessed her in their most intimate moments.
She didn’t understand why Fu Shinian would kiss her at this time, but she couldn’t ignore how this kiss made her feel. She felt like a cloud drifting with the wind and also like rain, soft and damp. Finally, she felt like the wind, sweeping away all the bad memories in her mind without leaving a trace.
Fu Shinian kissed her for a long time, savoring, treating her gently. He felt Su Mu’s changes and wholly trusted himself with them.
At this moment, Fu Shinian finally acknowledged Qiao Yu’s words, that no one is inherently frigid.
Su Mu had never experienced such a heart-stirring, soul-devouring sensation. This time of making love completely overturned all her past impressions. It wasn’t just about pain and endurance; she realized that she could also feel joy and comfort.
——
The next day, Su Mu woke up around eight o’clock. Naturally, Fu Shinian was no longer in the room. She stared at the ceiling, quietly spacing out for a while. Inevitably, some blush-inducing scenes from last night appeared in her mind, causing her to touch her own face, feeling it burn hot.
As she came downstairs, she was surprised to see that Fu Shinian was still there, sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper with gold-rimmed glasses, lifting his gaze to her and then quickly looking away.
Su Mu downstairs:
"Morning."
"It’s 8 AM, not so early anymore," he replied.
Su Mu: "..."
Auntie Lin stepped out of the kitchen at that moment, seeing both of them she smiled slightly:
"Ma’am, the master has been waiting for you to have breakfast."
Surprised, Su Mu looked towards Fu Shinian: "You haven’t eaten?"
Fu Shinian put down the newspaper, stood up, and walked towards the dining room, passing by Su Mu, he nearly provocatively arched an eyebrow: "Should I have?"
Su Mu was quite helpless: "Can’t you just speak nicely?"
Fu Shinian snorted lightly: "Done enjoying yourself and now pretending not to know me?"
Su Mu’s face instantly turned red, she instinctively looked towards Auntie Lin, fortunately, Auntie Lin was busy preparing breakfast and hadn’t heard anything. Angrily looking at Fu Shinian, she said:
"Why do you have to say everything?"
"Mrs. Fu, aren’t you the type who says anything that comes to mind? Your memory shouldn’t be so terrible that you’ve forgotten what you told me last night, should it?"
"What did I say?"
Fu Shinian smiled meaningfully and didn’t say anything more. He took a seat at the dining table, while Su Mu, puzzled, stood still for a few seconds until she suddenly realized something. He was reminding her of the explicit things she had been forced to say in bed last night.
As the memory slowly returned, Su Mu could no longer merely describe her state as blushing. She felt as though her entire being were a shrimp boiled in scalding hot water.
However, Fu Shinian still looked calm and composed, "Come eat, memories won’t fill your stomach."
Su Mu: "..."
This man was too vile!
After breakfast, Fu Shinian set off for his office, and Su Mu planned to visit the Wen Family to check on Wen Shaoyuan. After all, Shaoyuan hadn’t been feeling well yesterday, and as his tutor, she felt obligated to care. However, she didn’t dare ask Fu Shinian to take her there, so she had the driver drop her off at the nearby subway station when sending him out.
——
Wen Han had not expected Su Mu to come over so early today. He had wanted to call Su Mu to let her know he was home, and she needn’t come, but before he could make the call, she had already appeared before him. There at the doorstep, Su Mu stood with a youthful, beaming smile:
"I hope I’m not interrupting anything?"
"Of course not."
Wen Han stepped aside to let her in. As Su Mu changed her shoes, Wen Han couldn’t help but look at her a few times more. Ever since he had met her, this seemed to be the first time he had seen her genuinely happy. He wondered what good thing had happened to her.
Wen Han also couldn’t help but smile himself, so much so that when Su Mu turned to look at him, the smile still hadn’t completely left his lips. Luckily, Su Mu didn’t seem to notice:
"How’s Shaoyuan? Is he feeling better?"
Before Wen Han could reply, Wen Shaoyuan dashed down from upstairs, heading straight for Su Mu:
"Sister Su!"
Wen Shaoyuan wrapped his arms tightly around Su Mu’s legs, the impact so great that she stumbled two steps backward, almost losing her balance. Fortunately, Wen Han was quick to steady her and prevented her from falling.
After helping her stabilize, Wen Han immediately withdrew his hands and then sternly looked at Shaoyuan:
"Do you realize that’s very dangerous?"
Shaoyuan seemed to know he had done something wrong, as he stood up straight before Wen Han even spoke, and then he looked at Su Mu and sincerely apologized:
"I’m sorry, Sister Su. I shouldn’t have hugged you so forcefully."
Su Mu crouched down to look him in the eye and smiled as she ruffled his hair:
"It’s okay, but next time you hug me, just control your strength a bit. You’ve said it yourself, remember? I’m a girl and not as strong as you boys. You need to be gentle with me."
Wen Shaoyuan smiled and nodded:
"I’ll remember that."
Wen Han quietly observed the scene before him, hardly believing his eyes. Although he didn’t spend much time with his son, he knew of his son’s little quirk of not letting anyone touch his hair. Yet, the interaction between Su Mu and Shaoyuan seemed like it wasn’t the first time it had happened.
The son’s fondness for Su Mu might be much greater than Wen Han had originally thought.
