Chapter 276: Chapter 276: You Didn’t Learn Your Lesson

Jiang Bei, fuming with anger, turned around to leave but caught sight of Rong Shen who had been standing there watching the drama unfold from start to finish. He met her gaze and slightly raised his eyebrows, seemingly thankful to Jiang Bei for providing such an entertaining scene.

Jiang Bei glared fiercely at Rong Shen and stepped into the elevator.

After the elevator descended, Rong Shen did not follow but instead walked over to where Fu Shinian was still sitting.

That afternoon, no one knew what exactly Rong Shen and Fu Shinian discussed.

After leaving the top-floor ward, Rong Shen went to Su Mu’s ward, only to find that Jiang Bei had not returned. He leisurely searched the hospital and finally found her sitting quietly on a bench in the small garden outside. Her breathing was so light. Rong Shen paused for a few seconds before making his way towards her, intentionally making his footsteps loud, causing Jiang Bei to slightly furrow her brow.

Looking at Rong Shen who sat down beside her, Jiang Bei’s temper instantly flared:

"Can’t you stay away from me? Can’t you see I’m in a bad mood right now? Seeing you makes me even more irritated. Please, just go away immediately."

Rong Shen licked his lips and chuckled coldly:

"I’ll give you a few seconds to watch your mouth. If you can’t control it, I’ll help you, and if it gets too light or too heavy, don’t blame me."

Jiang Bei was in full fury and in no mood to take his threats seriously, sarcastically responding:

"What can you possibly do to me? Rong Shen, do you think just because we’ve been involved, you can boss me around? Let me tell you, if I want, I can pick any man to mess around with. Who are you to me? What right have you got to boss me around, you..."

Before Jiang Bei could finish her sentence, Rong Shen stood up, put her on his shoulder, and strode toward the hospital’s parking lot.

Even though Jiang Bei was somewhat skilled, the suddenness of Rong Shen’s actions caught her completely off guard, and she was quickly subdued. She struggled, hitting and kicking him, but Rong Shen seemed unaffected, not even flinching as passersby watched them enter the parking area. He opened the car door and threw Jiang Bei directly into the back seat.

He was utterly without sympathy; Jiang Bei’s head hit the door frame, hurting so much it made her see stars. Before she could even start cursing, Rong Shen had also gotten into the car, slamming the door with a deafening bang.

In the confined space of the car, only the two of them were present. A few seconds later, once the dizziness had subsided, Jiang Bei looked towards Rong Shen, only to see him starting to take off his clothes. She snapped to full awareness, familiar by now with what he was about to do. Though one time was not fundamentally different from a hundred, Jiang Bei still couldn’t accept it.

Multiple bitter experiences had taught Jiang Bei that she couldn’t win, so the first thought that sprang to her mind now was to escape, but she couldn’t open the car door.

Rong Shen watched her finally look frightened and smiled slightly, but he still had no intention of letting her go:

"I warned you earlier; you just don’t learn."

Jiang Bei gave up trying to open the door and crouched in the back seat’s corner, defensively watching Rong Shen:

"Can’t you stop going crazy all the time? This is a hospital, where I work, and the parking lot is busy with people. I can’t afford to be embarrassed like this. "

"I gave you a chance," Rong Shen stated as he threw his tie away, which landed on Jiang Bei’s legs. She looked down at it, finding the sight extremely distasteful, unable to forget what he had once done to her with the tie.

"If you behave, we can talk nicely, and I promise no one will find out. But if you think about resisting, you should also know what the consequences of resisting me are," Rong Shen said, meaningfully glancing at the tie on Jiang Bei’s legs, causing her to feel continuous disgust: "Pervert!"

Jiang Bei wished she could curse him with the most venomous curse in the world, but she knew he wasn’t afraid of that.

Unable to escape or overpower him, Jiang Bei had no choice but to endure his torment. Ultimately, he did exactly as he had said and ’disciplined’ her loud mouth, nearly making Jiang Bei vomit everything in her stomach onto him.

Rong Shen watched her with a satisfied expression and reached out to gently lift her chin, smiling slightly:

"From now on, you can continue to be disobedient. After all, no matter how many times such discipline is repeated, I won’t get tired of it."

Jiang Bei reached out and fiercely slapped Rong Shen’s face, but at the last moment, Rong Shen easily blocked it. Perhaps because he had just been released and was in a good mood, he showed no signs of anger and just smiled:

"I’m not Fu Shinian. I haven’t done anything to wrong you, so I wouldn’t hit back even if you beat me."

It was hard for Jiang Bei, but even at this moment, she precisely caught the critical point of Rong Shen’s words. She withdrew her hand and harshly wiped her lips with the back of it:

"What do you mean?"

Rong Shen smiled faintly:

"What do you mean by what?"

"The statement you just made. You mean that Fu Shinian deserved the slap I gave him because he did something wrong to Su Mu, right?"

"I didn’t say that," Rong Shen denied. "It was just a metaphor."

There are things Rong Shen didn’t want to talk about, and no one could pry any details from his mouth. Jiang Bei might not have spent much time with him, but she understood this, so she didn’t press further and pushed the door open to get out of the car.

A second before she slammed the car door, Rong Shen reminded her:

"5 p.m., I’ll come to pick you up from the hospital."

"I am going home to see my parents."

"Perfect," Rong Shen was unfazed. "I haven’t visited your parents yet. Let’s take this opportunity to meet them."

The next second, Jiang Bei slammed the car door furiously.

Jiang Bei hadn’t left the parking lot when Rong Shen’s car sped past her. Just by seeing the rear of his car, Jiang Bei could feel a surge of anger building up inside her, with no place to vent, she kicked at the air furiously before reluctantly heading towards the elevator, only to be honked at by a car midway.

Turning to look at the impolite driver, Jiang Bei realized it was Ji Nanfeng, whom she hadn’t seen in days.

Suddenly, she had a bad feeling.

Watching him get out of the car and slowly walk towards her, Jiang Bei didn’t know whether to back away or stand still, especially since Ji Nanfeng’s expression did not seem friendly.

Getting closer, Ji Nanfeng stopped less than a meter away from her:

"I never thought that Doctor Jiang, who hates evil and clearly distinguishes right from wrong, could do such a crazy thing in a busy parking lot. I, a veteran of romantic escapades, am even ashamed of myself. Have you been pretending all along, or did I never really know the real you?"

He had seen it, as expected.

But what of it? Jiang Bei wasn’t scared at all, she looked at him and slightly smiled:

"What kind of person I am, whether I’m pretending, who I’m with, or what I’m doing, does it... have anything to do with you?"
