Chapter 90 Disturbance
Chapter 90: Chapter 90 Disturbance
Seeing the man’s hostile approach, Lin Qian steadied her nerves, undaunted.
She offered a faint smile, "Sir, our MXL Company is the eighth-ranked luxury goods company in the world, and we wouldn’t engage in anything that could damage our reputation. If there is an issue with the watch, we simply need to find the cause. If you don’t trust our company, you can also have it authenticated by a reputable authority to establish the authenticity of the watch."
She didn’t know the real purpose of the man and the woman.
But she had dealt with numerous customer complaints before, and as long as she presented facts and reasoned with the customers, the issues would always be perfectly resolved in the end.
At the moment, she just wanted to find out how exactly the watch had been damaged so she could report it to the company’s repair department and discuss how to negotiate repair costs with the customer.
With that, she spoke calmly and collectedly.
Finally, the silent woman beside him spoke up.
"So after all is said and done, what you mean to say is the watch is genuine, I damaged it, and thus I alone am responsible for all losses, while your company bears no responsibility, correct?" asked Ye An’an, removing her sunglasses with an imperious look towards Lin Qian.
Lin Qian paused for a moment, then responded with a smile, "Madam, you have great taste, having chosen this distinctive starry-sky watch. The biggest selling point of this model is its explosion-proof and crack-resistant glass face, which the salesperson who served you must have explained in detail. We are very grateful for your trust in the MXL counter. How about we sit down inside and talk this over, to see how we can resolve this matter?"
More and more people were entering the store, and she had to quickly take the customers to the lounge area, close the door for a discussion, to prevent the situation from escalating and causing unnecessary effects.
"Yes, Ms. Ye, do you remember me? I was the one who served you that day."
Chen Fei stepped forward and looked towards Ye An’an with a smile, "At that time, you were most satisfied with the design of the watch’s glass face, because you said you were quite careless, always liking to throw your jewelry around once you got home. The explosion-proof and crack-resistant glass face suits you best—you don’t have to worry about the watch getting damaged frequently."
Once these words were out, Lin Qian inwardly groaned.
Chen Fei’s implication was that the glass face could break, possibly due to the customer carelessly tossing it around.
Bringing up a customer’s faults at a time like this would anger them.
Sure enough, Lu Jun became infuriated in an instant.
He stepped forward with a frown and shoved Chen Fei.
"What the hell are you talking about, woman? If the selling point of this watch was so great, how come my sister’s watch broke in less than a month? It must be because you are selling counterfeit products, and now you are trying to shift the blame onto my sister! I see now, you just want to deny responsibility today, don’t you?" Lu Jun said with fierce blame.
Chen Fei, caught off-guard, was pushed and nearly fell over.
Lin Qian quickly supported her, then turned to Lu Jun, "Sir, let’s discuss this calmly."
"You expect me to have a nice conversation with you? With your kind of service attitude, how could I?"
Lu Jun glared at Lin Qian and Chen Fei.
Chen Fei indignantly retorted, "Sir, what exactly is wrong with our service attitude? Our store manager has been very polite, stating facts and reasoning with you. And you? This watch wouldn’t have fractured unless it had been deliberately scratched with a sharp object. Don’t tell me you’re here to extort money on purpose?"
Chen Fei’s voice was somewhat shrill, causing an immediate stir among the onlookers.
"Hey, what way is this salesperson speaking?"
"Exactly, someone buys a watch worth over a hundred thousand and has a problem less than a month later—aren’t they allowed to complain?"
"Right, I think maybe this salesperson pocketed the real watch and sold a counterfeit to the customer."
"..."
Many in the crowd were pointing fingers at Chen Fei. Chen Fei was so distressed she was close to tears, while Lin Qian frowned deeply, sensing that this couple was not here to resolve the issue.
At that moment, a woman’s voice rose from the crowd, "This gentleman is really something, for just a watch worth a hundred thousand. If it breaks, just negotiate nicely with the seller. Regardless, pushing a woman is not the behavior of a man."
The remark was both arrogant and sensible.
Lin Qian looked up to see a woman with a sultry appearance, arms crossed, looking down on Lu Jun with disdain.
A chestnut wave curled to one side, looking particularly exquisite under the care of the light.
Lin Qian’s slightly upturned almond eyes met hers, nodding slightly towards her while curving her lips.
Such a rational spectator she was.
She seemed somewhat familiar.
Lin Qian returned her gratitude with a smile, not yet recalling where she had seen her.
When Lu Jun saw the sudden discordant voice, he glared at her fiercely, "Why are you butting in? My sister’s money didn’t come from the wind; it was hard-earned. She bought a fake with it, how could I not be angry?"
"You can’t take out your anger on our sales staff though."
Chen Fei couldn’t help but speak up again, "This watch is definitely genuine. Either you sit down with our store manager to discuss the repair costs properly, or have the relevant departments come and verify the authenticity of the wristwatch."
His anger rekindled with these words.
He glared at Chen Fei fiercely, rolling up his sleeves, "You’re clearly trying to push the blame onto us? A watch worth over a hundred thousand, breaking in less than a month, and it’s our fault? I’m so angry! Come here, let’s discuss this properly."
The man’s posture was clearly provocative.
Lin Qian, anxious, could no longer blame Chen Fei for her impulsiveness and hurried to stand in front of Lu Jun, "Sir, let’s talk this out calmly."
"Get out of the way."
Lu Jun pulled Lin Qian aside and continued to approach Chen Fei.
In a panic, Lin Qian tried to go over, but someone grabbed her from behind.
Pain shot through her arm, and she instinctively flung the person’s hand away.
A cry sounded, and the person thrown stumbled to the ground.
Lin Qian turned, holding her arm, and saw Ye An’an on the ground, glaring at her with a furious face.
"Hey, why would you push someone like that?"
"Yeah, what’s wrong with you? Is this how a store manager should act? Quickly capture her demeanor on camera."
"..."
The onlookers had already taken out their mobile phones, snapping pictures of Lin Qian vigorously.
"Lin Qian, you dare to push my sister! You’re asking for it."
Lu Jun looked ferocious and strode towards Lin Qian.
Before Lin Qian could recover, her hand was grasped again, and she was pulled back.
"What are you doing? Want to hit someone again? I’ve already notified the mall security—let’s talk to them if there’s an issue."
She saw the silhouette of a woman from behind.
A slender figure with a curvaceous body—it was the charming woman who had spoken up for them.
At that moment, the door opened, and the mall’s security personnel arrived just in time.
After a chaotic scramble, Lin Qian only managed to smile at the charming woman before the security personnel took her to the general manager’s office of the mall.
The general manager was a woman. After listening to Lu Jun’s account, she kept apologizing to Lu Jun and Ye An’an and scolded Lin Qian and Chen Fei.
Lin Qian and Chen Fei stood aside, listening to the reprimand like meek daughters-in-law.
At last, Lu Jun, supporting Ye An’an, said, "I’m not in the mood to argue with you now, I’m taking my sister to the hospital first. If there’s even a slight problem with my sister’s foot, this isn’t over between us!"
