Mr. Mu Proposed Again Today
Chapter 186 Rage!_1

Chapter 186: Chapter 186 Rage!_1

Su Wanxia immediately looked up at him with astonishment--

How could he know?

Mu Yingchen, seeing her astonished expression, became even more certain of his guess, it seemed that there indeed was something!

He had people search for half a month, but they could not find any information about her or her parents. It seemed that his mother intentionally had the news blocked.

He had also confronted his mother, but she was as unyielding as ever, unwilling to divulge a single word, which frustrated him greatly.

"What agreement did you two reach? Tell me!" Mu Yingchen asked, seemingly restraining himself, his tone slightly heavy, to the stunned Su Wanxia.

But Su Wanxia just stood there, gazing at him blankly, without speaking.

"Wanwan, tell me!" Mu Yingchen called out again.

The atmosphere in the living room immediately became oppressive, so silent it seemed as though one could hear their breathing.

Su Wanxia laughed mockingly, "What agreement could there be, other than keeping me away from you..."

Mu Yingchen’s eyes darkened, this he knew, but what was the underlying reason?

"What else?"

"That’s all," Su Wanxia shook her head.

The contract was in his mother’s hands, and since she was unwilling to tell him, what good would it do him to know? It would only deepen the conflict between them.

Hearing Su Wanxia’s words, Mu Yingchen suddenly sounded angry and disappointed, "Do you think I’d believe that? Why won’t you trust me, not 6 years ago, and not now, am I that unworthy of your trust?"

Su Wanxia looked at him, continually shaking her head, her eyes full of conflict.

She had thought about telling him, but on the night he proposed to her, when he told his mother he knew everything, the look in Mu’s mother’s eyes was not of compromise but of frenzied rage.

If she told him, his mother would definitely intensify her efforts to stop them from being together.

And there would certainly be a tremendous quarrel between him and his mother.

It would undoubtedly sadden his heart as well.

Without a word from her, Mu Yingchen also remained silent, tiredly pulling her into his embrace, and they hugged each other in silence.

After a night had passed--

When she woke up, Mu Yingchen was no longer beside her, and her eyelashes drooped with a sense of loss, he was finally angry with her--

Feeling a bit sore, she moved and suddenly remembered that it had been a month since she last took the contraceptive pill.

During this time, they had not been together, and her mind was somewhat distracted, so she forgot to take it before leaving. Fortunately, it seemed she had some in her bag.

Ever since they had started dating, she always carried the pill with her, tucked away in a hidden corner of her bag.

Thankfully, there had been no accidents after all this time--

She slowly got up, dressed, then went to the clothes rack and gently unzipped her bag, searching for the small white bottle.

Just as she opened the cap, the door was suddenly pushed open, and she was startled, frantically stuffing the bottle back into her bag.

But it was too late. Since the clothes rack was especially close to the door, her panicked movements had already drawn Mu Yingchen’s attention, and the small white cap in her right hand immediately gave away that it was a medicine bottle cap.

Her heart started racing immediately, and she clenched the cap guiltily in her palm.

"What are you doing?" Mu Yingchen frowned.

"Nothing--nothing--" She shook her head, her words jumbling together.

Mu Yingchen recalled the panicked expression on her face when he pushed the door open and immediately walked towards her, reaching out to see what she had stuffed into her bag.

"Nothing, I was just looking for my lipstick," she said, blocking Mu Yingchen’s action with her hand.

Mu Yingchen’s expression instantly darkened. Lipstick? Did she think he was a child? Could the thing in her hand be a lipstick cap?

He gently shifted her hand aside, but she persisted, unwilling to move away from the zipper of her bag.

Mu Yingchen grew more suspicious; with a forceful tug, he moved her hand away from the bag and reached in to pull out a white bottle, missing its cap.

Su Wanxia watched his actions, helpless and in utter panic!

The cap she had was now completely concealed within the palm of her hand.

Initially, Mu Yingchen looked at her with suspicion, but when he clearly saw the words on the bottle, his eyes narrowed.

Su Wanxia closed her eyes in despair, not daring to witness the brewing storm in his gaze.

Mu Yingchen’s grip tightened, and the white bottle was squished out of shape.

"Tell me, what is this?" His tone was as mild as the clouds, light as the breeze.

His black eyes fixed intently on her as she hung her head low.

Su Wanxia felt as if a boulder were pressing on her chest, making it much harder to breathe.

"What is this!!" Mu Yingchen suddenly lost control and flung the bottle in his hand to the ground.

The white bottle clattered a few times before rolling into a corner; the white pills scattered across the floor, starkly visible on the luxurious flooring.

Su Wanxia stared at the glaring white at the edge, her heart trembling so violently it nearly stopped beating.

And Mu Yingchen’s attitude made her eyes silently fill with tears. This was the second time he had lost his temper at her.

First time, six years ago. The second time, now--

"Su Wanxia! What will it take to satisfy you! Just tell me! If you don’t want to be with me, say it outright, why do you secretly take these behind my back!"

"You know very well that I want a child of our own, but you! You treat me so cruelly! Why? Why!!" Mu Yingchen’s repressed fury erupted uncontrollably.

He had always wondered why, despite being together for so long, there had been no news. He had so much faith in her; he never imagined she would do this, and he couldn’t think of any reason why she would.

But--she had done exactly that!

And what, after all, are birth control pills? Medicines are poisons in small doses—had she realized how much harm she was doing to her body by continuously taking them?

She would rather harm herself than have his child. What did that say? Did she not love him? Did she not want to be with him?

He laughed at himself mockingly: "Right, you never wanted to marry me, you never wanted kids. It has always been me!" He pointed to his own heart.

"It’s me who is deluding myself, clinging to you. It’s my own fault; it has nothing to do with you, nothing to do with you, Su Wanxia!" He shouted at her.

"If you don’t want children, I won’t touch you again, and if you don’t want to get married--" Saying this, his eyes turned sour, and his voice shook: "Just say the word!"

After finishing, he no longer looked at the continuously silent and bowing Su Wanxia. Without hesitation, he turned around and slammed the door as he left--
