Chapter 239: Chapter 239: I Want To Bring Her To Apologize

"Don’t tell me your face turned red because of the heat. I’m freezing here," Thea said. "Be honest. Were you thinking about some spicy stuff with Daniel? How’s his body, huh?"

"Um... probably better than Philip’s."

"Well, Philip gives off that soft, pretty-boy vibe. Daniel’s a completely different type. And... maybe you still want to be in his arms," Thea said with a grin.

"So, you’ve seen him naked?" she added teasingly.

"I have laser eyes. I can see his whole body," Chantelle said, rolling her eyes.

"Liar. Just admit it—you still love him," Thea said as she turned to face Chantelle and poked her cheek playfully.

Meanwhile, on the 88th floor of Silver Crest Global District, Daniel picked up Ashton’s call.

"Sir, Rowan bailed Camille out," Ashton reported.

"Well. Since she wanted to get married, let’s visit their home and arrange a marriage for her," Daniel said coldly.

"But she’s the Nelsen family’s favorite. They’ll never agree to an arranged marriage just like that," Ashton reminded him.

"Once they see she’s no longer useful, they won’t care about her," Daniel replied coldly while he gritted his teeth.

Camille was foolish. Sooner or later, the Nelsen family would abandon her. Since she dared to hurt his wife, Daniel didn’t mind speeding things up.

"I understand now, sir," Ashton said before hanging up and getting ready to carry out his task.

Mrs. Wilson is the most important person to him. Ms. Nelsen will regret offending her. Ashton thought.

The Nelsen family was rich and powerful internationally, but the Wilson family ruled Easthan.

When Chantelle opened her eyes, she saw two pairs of teary, innocent eyes staring at her. The sight made her feel warm and full of energy.

"Mommy, you’re finally awake! Are you hungry? Do you want something to drink?" Kane asked as he climbed onto the bed, firing off questions one after another.

Rai gently handed Chantelle a cup of warm milk.

Chantelle accepted it, took a small sip, and said, "Thank you, Rai. And thank you too, Kane."

"Mommy, you’re most welcome. We’re a family," Kane said in a vibrant voice. "Daddy made yummy pancakes. I’ll go get some for you!" He ran off excitedly without waiting for Chantelle’s response.

After getting out of bed, Chantelle freshened up. When she came out, she saw Kane and Rai each holding a plate of pancakes. But Daniel was nowhere in sight. She looked around, confused.

"Daddy went to the office," Rai said quickly, noticing the confused look on Chantelle’s face.

Chantelle nodded and sat down to eat with them. She felt at peace.

Meanwhile, Daniel was still at the Silver Crest Global District. He watched them through the surveillance feed.

As his eyes fell on Chantelle, a soft smile appeared on his face and he couldn’t look away.

Philip gave Daniel a disgusted look and walked into the kitchen to eat Thea’s food.

At the Sunshine Villa, Camille stared at herself in the mirror after taking a shower. Her face was still covered in red marks, and it made her furious.

She was the Nelsen family’s most beloved daughter. Everywhere she went, people looked up to her. Even influential people wanted to be associated with her.

She never imagined she’d lose to a woman she considered beneath her.

"Camille, are you asleep?"

Camille quickly changed her expression when she heard Rowan’s voice. She opened the door and threw herself into his arms, crying.

"Ro, what’s going on? I’m new here in Easthan. Why would anyone target me? Could it be someone who hates the Nelsen family?"

"Everyone knows you’re the Nelsen family’s favorite. None of our enemies would dare touch you," Rowan explained gently but deep down, he already knew what had happened—especially the scene she caused at the charity association’s office.

My sister has been spoiled for too long. She’s grown up arrogant and useless.

Still, no matter how spoiled she was, no one had the right to hurt her.

"Then who was it? The only person I upset was the Madame Chairman of the Charity Association. I wanted to show respect, so I delivered the documents myself. But they all looked down on me. In the end, they even kicked me out," Camille said, still crying.

"My bodyguards intervened to protect me. I think that’s when the Madame Chairman started hating me," Camille said with a pout.

"Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you get justice. No one gets to bully the Nelsen family’s precious girl," Rowan said as he gently patted her head.

Camille’s eyes brightened up right away. "Ro, I knew I could count on you. But the problem is, the Madame Chairman is close to Daniel. He’ll definitely take her side. She’s always trying to seduce him..."

"The Nelsen family isn’t scared of the Wilson family," Rowan said with a shrug.

Later that night, Rowan reviewed the information his assistant had gathered about the Madame Chairman of the charity association. He stared at her photo for a moment, then, he picked up his phone and made a call.

"Ms. Chantelle, I’m Camille’s brother. Camille acted foolishly and offended you. I want to bring her to apologize. Would you be willing to accept it?"

"You don’t need to apologize, Mr. Nelsen. Just control your sister. This is Easthan, not Doskoustein."

Chantelle didn’t like Camille. So, she didn’t really care about what Rowan said. Even though he came to apologize, it didn’t feel sincere. He was clearly there to give her a warning.

But no matter how powerful the Nelsen family was elsewhere, in Easthan, Daniel had the upper hand. Chantelle knew it and she was using that to pressure Rowan.

"The Nelsen and Wilson families are business partners. As Daniel’s wife, I’m sure you’re as kind and graceful as people say," Rowan said mockingly.

He sat back on the sofa with a piece of paper in his hand. It had all of Chantelle’s personal details on it.

"Well, since our families are partners, I hope you’re not upset that I won’t let Ms. Nelsen do whatever she wants. If Old Mr. Nelsen finds out, it won’t be easy to explain." Chantelle’s words may have sounded like a reminder, but they were actually a clear message that she wasn’t afraid of the Nelsen family at all.

Is he trying to scare me with the Nelsen family’s name? Seriously? He’s way too full of himself!

"No, of course not. I’m not upset. Actually, I’m calling to invite you to dinner tomorrow night at Phoenix International. Camille and I will be waiting for you," Rowan said, then ended the call without waiting for her response.

Chantelle rolled her eyes. She couldn’t care less.
