"Have you found Steph’s tour schedule?" Daniel asked him.

"Yes. Steph is now on tour in Val Verde. The next stop is the Isles. She won’t be back until next month," Ashton said, reading from the tablet.

"Call the organizer. I want her back by next week," Daniel said with a frown, still staring at the photo of the boy holding her hand.

"Understood, Sir."

"Should we tell Mrs. Wilson about the change of Steph’s schedule?" Ashton asked.

"No. Let’s make it a surprise."

"Got it!"

"What about Lone Wolf?" Daniel suddenly asked. His men had been searching for six hours but came up with nothing.

It was giving him a serious headache.

"Find him. No matter what it takes." Daniel added as anger came across his eyes.

"Yes, Sir!"

Meanwhile, Chantelle’s earlier appearance during Roman’s livestream was causing a ruckus all over the internet.

While everyone was calling Roman a scumbag, rumors about Chantelle also began to spread.

People said Mr. Wilson dumped her because of her father.

Fans who watched the livestream started digging and believed that was the reason for their breakup.

One article even mentioned that Chantelle was abandoned because of Roman. It even said she showed up on the stream just to borrow money from him.

The writer made it sound like Chantelle wrote it herself.

In just an hour, the article spread like a wild fire all over the internet.

Those who had misunderstood her and mocked her earlier now felt bad for what she went through.

Within a day, Chantelle had become infamous.

But she didn’t seem to care. She went on with her usual routine.

At home, she scrolled through the comments while eating the watermelon Calvin had sliced for her. She even took a few sips of chocolate milk now and then.

"Ms. Chantelle, this is getting out of control. Should we interfere?" Calvin asked, clearly bothered by how fast the rumor was spreading.

"Of course we’ll interfere when the time is right. But don’t you think the writer knows way too much?" Chantelle said as her eyes narrowed at the screen.

"Ms. Chantelle, do you think the writer is someone close to us?" Calvin asked carefully.

"Well, most likely an old acquaintance. No one else would know that much about my past," Chantelle replied. "I’ve been tracking the IP address. We’ll find out who’s behind this soon. Eh? What’s going on?"

She was about to show Calvin the results when a new headline suddenly popped up in her notifications.

"Chantelle’s New Lover!"

Chantelle quickly browsed the internet and another trending post caught her attention.

Curious, she clicked on the link.

To her surprise, there were pictures attached on it.

Then, a bold headline popped up. It clearly said that Joseph was her new lover.

One of the photos showed him carrying Chantelle during the car accident.

The photo was clearly taken on purpose. Her full face was visible. Joseph’s side profile was also shown.

He looked very handsome in the picture.

The angle made it seem like they were very close. If Chantelle hadn’t been there herself, she might have believed it.

"Ms. Chantelle, what is this about? Why does this man look familiar?" Calvin asked in a curious tone.

"You know who he is," she replied. "He’s Joseph."

"W-What?" Calvin stammered.

"I got into a car accident on my way to Northern Suburbs Hospital. Joseph was the one who saved me and took me to the hospital," Chantelle briefly explained.

"But this photo... the two of you..."

They looked just like a couple.

Calvin’s eyes widened at the thought.

Luckily, Calvin was sharp enough to figure it out. He realized Joseph might have leaked the photo on purpose.

"I should’ve seen this coming. He clearly did this to provoke Daniel."

"What should we do now?" Calvin asked.

"I’m not letting him use this against me. Find out where Daniel is. We’re going on a date," Chantelle said firmly.

"D-Date?" Calvin repeated, stunned.

"Yes. Rai’s out with Philip for a check-up. So it’s just Kane left with us. Bring him along too."

"Got it!"

Calvin understood what Chantelle was trying to do. He quickly executed her order without wasting time.

Twenty minutes later, Chantelle and Kane arrived at the Wilson Group of Companies.

"Ms. Chantelle," Calvin said as he opened the car door for her, "I confirmed with Ashton—Mr. Wilson is in his office now."

"Mommy, why are you bringing Daddy a lunchbox all of a sudden? Did he do something bad?" Kane asked, confused.

"Don’t be silly. This is just how the family shows care," Chantelle replied.

"A-Are you sure?" Kane asked again.

The last time she made a lunchbox like this was when he blew up the neighbor’s fish pond. She was gentle back then and told him it was okay. Then, she gave him a lunchbox.

He still remembered how bitter it tasted.

"I’m sure," Chantelle said with a smile.

Then she took his hand and walked into the Wilson Group of Companies, carrying a pink lunchbox.

Soon after, they walked into the lobby of the Wilson Group of Companies.

It had been five years since Chantelle last came to this place.

Back then, she came to tell Daniel she was pregnant. But the guards stopped her immediately.

She waited for three hours and still didn’t see him.

In the end, she fainted from exhaustion. Philip was the one who took her home.

She had been so foolish back then.

She waited for him, even knowing he wouldn’t show up.

Now, Chantelle stood at the front desk with Kane, lost in thought.

This time, she didn’t speak to the receptionist. Instead, she sat in the waiting area and told Kane to contact Daniel.

She knew they wouldn’t be allowed to enter his office without an appointment, so she didn’t waste her time.

The Wilson Group of Companies looked even grander than it did five years ago. They had clearly grown a lot since then.

Even the sofas in the waiting area felt more comfortable than before.

Chantelle put the lunchbox aside and glanced at Kane, who was on the phone.

"Hi, Daddy! I’m here to see you. Come get me, quick!" Kane said excitedly.

Chantelle couldn’t hear what Daniel said, but Kane’s smile told her everything. They’d be going in soon.
