Lu Wanwan found herself at a loss for words for a moment, just staring wide-eyed back at him.

If he really intended to do so, telling her didn’t matter, as she wouldn’t be able to shake him off if he was determined to follow her.

He was blatantly telling her that no matter where she went, he would follow.

If she allowed it, they would go together.

If she didn’t permit it, he would just happen to go the same way as her.

"No response means you agree," the corner of his mouth curled into an even more pronounced smile.

The look of that smile sent a sensation through Lu Wanwan’s heart as if someone was gently brushing it with a feather.

Gu Annan raised an eyebrow and took a few steps closer to her.

He reached out and touched her cheek lightly, caressing it gently.

Lu Wanwan’s heart felt like it was about to leap out of her chest, especially since she didn’t push him away or reject him, particularly when she saw his face getting closer and magnifying before her eyes.

She couldn’t help but hold her breath, unsure of what she was anticipating in her heart.

Her face burned under his touch, as if it could ignite at any moment.

"There," Gu Annan suddenly withdrew his hand, speaking in a light voice, "your face just had a bit of dirt on it."

"Gu Annan!" Lu Wanwan, feeling played, bit out each word, her face flushed with anger.

"Hmm?" His eyes shone like stars, and his brows were cocked in amusement, "Shouldn’t I have wiped it off for you?"

Seeing Lu Wanwan frown and say nothing, he added, "Or are you waiting for something else?"

Lu Wanwan just stared at the elevator doors, her lips tightly sealed, unwilling to fall into his trap again.

When they reached the ground floor, she was about to stride out of the elevator when her arm was suddenly gripped by a large hand, and she was quickly pressed against the wall.

Cool, soft lips landed on her right cheek, releasing almost instantly.

Before letting go, they grazed over her lips.

In that brief moment, Gu Annan had already let go of her and stepped out of the elevator.

He stood nonchalantly by the door, pressing the button for her, "You better come out or the elevator doors are going to close."

It was just a brief moment, and she had merely paused that instant before stepping out. Yet, his words came a half-second too soon, as if to imply that the quick peck had rendered her unwilling to leave.

Lu Wanwan wanted to crawl into a hole.

Seeing his barely-there smile at such a moment always seemed to penetrate her heart.

"Get lost!" she dashed out of the elevator, throwing a softly spat curse along the way.

Gu Annan watched her retreating figure with a smile, her word "lost" sounding more like a coquettish complaint.

Upon running out of the building, Lu Wanwan looked at the ceaseless flow of traffic on the street, then at the time.

The time wasn’t particularly late nor early, that is if the venue wasn’t far from here.

Just as Lu Wanwan stretched out her hand to hail a taxi, the hand she raised was pulled down.

"Isn’t this a car? Has your vision dropped?" he said, leading her by the hand and opening the car door, "If you don’t want to be late, get in quickly."

Lu Wanwan looked at the deep black Maybach parked in the night beside her. If she were to show up at the film festival with Gu Annan like this, wouldn’t they make headlines in the media?

"I don’t want to get in your car..." Her heartbeat was still racing, and the more she tried to sound angry, the more she sounded like she was whining.

"Be good, get in the car," Gu Annan said, pulling her hand, and with an arm wrapped around her waist, he guided her towards the car door, "You’ve already taken a helicopter, what’s there to fear about a car, get in!"

Lu Wanwan was stuffed into the car, and Gu Annan followed right in after her.
