She said, "You should get over what I look like and how I look like your mother. If it will help, we can use an illusion on you so that you will think I'm someone else. That should put you in a good mood."

He was already getting irritated, so he said impatiently, "No, I'm not interested. You will just have to forget about using me for your plans."

She, too, was getting irritated with him. She was also getting angry with him. All of these made it easy for her to sneer at him and say, "Well, you might not have a choice soon."

He frowned and asked her, "Are you threatening me?"

She admitted it confidently, "Yes, I am. We have tried to be gentle, soft, and nice with you. We were even willing to let you return to our family and be supported by us."

"We have given you nothing but benefits, but you refuse to be grateful. Now the time of reckoning has arrived. We will not take no for an answer, so you either give us what we want or force our hands to use hard and painful methods to bring you to our course."

Arthur couldn't believe it. He found the whole thing so hard to believe that he began to laugh.

He laughed so hard that his voice became loud and audible to the thousands of people around them. This drew everyone's attention to him, but he didn't care.

After a few seconds of laughter, he stopped and said to Jade in a loud voice that everyone could hear, "I have three words for you. Fire and brimstone."
