Monopolize My Mysterious Wife -
Chapter 995 - 995 981 you fool (1)
Chapter 995: 981, you fool (1) Chapter 995: 981, you fool (1) Shen Hua raised his hand and hugged her tightly, a trace of relief flickering deep within his eyes, “Weiwei, I’m sorry, I failed to protect you and Ayan.”
It was he who had destroyed the trust between him and her with his own hands, he who had caused Ayan’s death.
Jian Wei closed her eyes, a faint smile curving the corners of her lips.
She knew the Shen Hua she recognized had come back.
Jian Qing watched the scene unfolding not far away, unable to help but sigh.
“Weiwei, you should go,” Shen Hua released her, his icy eyes as still as the depths of a deep pool, devoid of any ripples.
“Ahua.”
Just as Jian Wei began to speak, Shen Hua interrupted her.
“You should go, I want to spend some time alone with Ayan.”
Jian Wei looked deeply at Shen Yan, patted Shen Hua’s shoulder gently, “Ayan is just asleep, he will always be by our side.”
Whether as a gust of wind or a star, she believed he was always there.
Shen Hua looked at her, a warm smile playing on his lips.
Then, he lifted his gaze to Mo Xiao, no longer harboring any hostility, “Take good care of her. Remember, I didn’t lose to you, but to Ayan and Weiwei.”
Mo Xiao’s eyes, reflecting Shen Yan’s pale face, shifted away to look at him, nodded slightly, then reached out to help Jian Wei up.
Shen Hua watched Jian Wei’s retreating figure, the smile in his eyes gradually fading away.
Weiwei, this time I’m truly letting go.
Wishing you happiness!
The soft sound of footsteps approached, a pair of canvas shoes entering his view.
Shen Hua lifted his head to meet a pair of obsidian-like dark eyes.
“This is something he asked me to give you.” Jian Qing took out a voice recorder from his pocket and handed it to Shen Hua.
Memory floated back to last night…
After agreeing on the plan, the trio including Jian Qing was about to leave the study room.
“Jian Qing, wait a moment, there’s one more thing I need to ask of you.” Shen Yan glanced at Quan Jingwu and Mo Xiao, who exchanged glances before leaving the study room first.
Jian Qing circled back to the study room, where Shen Yan took out a voice recorder from a drawer and handed it to her, “If you successfully get away, give this to my brother for me.”
“What is this?” Jian Qing looked at the recorder in his hand, her brow furrowed, “Why don’t you give it to him yourself?”
“Helping you get away will undoubtedly be seen as a betrayal by my brother. He might not even want to see me afterward or might imprison me again, so please do this for me.” Shen Yan spoke lightheartedly.
Jian Qing looked at him with a complex gleam in her eyes and took the voice recorder.
“Just one more piece of unsolicited advice, I still hope you’d consider leaving with us.”
“We’ll see,” Shen Yan replied with a carefree smile.
Under the golden light, the silver surface of the voice recorder seemed to glow with a fluorescent sheen.
Shen Hua stared at the recorder in her hand, frozen for a few seconds.
After a moment, he stretched out his hand to take the voice recorder, clutching it tightly.
“Even after all the bad things you’ve done, in his heart, you are the best brother,” Jian Qing said, looking down at the breathless Shen Yan, her heart aching dully.
He wasn’t afraid of Shen Hua imprisoning him; he had already anticipated this outcome. He was prepared to trade his life for their escape and was betting his life on whether Shen Hua would change his ways.
The fact proved that he won his bet, but he could never personally hand over the voice recorder to Shen Hua anymore.
Shen Hua held the voice recorder to his chest, bowing his head to hide the tears welling up deep in his eyes.
“Sorry!”
A hoarse voice, slightly nasal.
Jian Qing’s red lips curved lightly, “Live on well, with his share too.”
After speaking, she turned and walked towards Quan Jingwu.
“Let’s go.” Quan Jingwu took her hand, his deep red lips forming a faint smile.
“Here’s the key to the yacht.” A’er tossed the key to Jian Qing, his gaze fixed on Shen Yan. Jian Qing nodded to him, then boarded the yacht with Quan Jingwu.
The sky was clear, and the yacht gradually moved away.
Shen Hua pressed the recorder pen, and the man’s gentle voice spread out.
“Bro, when you get this recorder pen, I guess I won’t be around anymore. The thing I’m most grateful for in my life is having you as a brother and Awei as a sister. Honestly, bro, I’m really glad you’re my brother. No matter how many wrongs you’ve done, in my heart, you’re still the brother I respect most. Promise me, on the days I’m not there, you must live well, take good care of yourself, and be a kind person.”
The words came to an abrupt halt, and restrained tears fell.
Shen Hua hugged Shen Yan, his eyes moist, growling, “You idiot, idiot…”
On the yacht, Jian Qing leaned against Quan Jingwu’s chest, watching the nearby island slowly turn into a tiny black dot, and sighed softly.
“Xiaojing…”
“Bang bang bang—”
Deafening explosions rang out one after another, followed by a blaze of fire soaring into the sky, with the faint smell of ammunition spreading through the air.
The blaze lit up, turning the entire sky a bright red.
“Ahua, Ayan!” Jian Wei looked at the island surrounded by raging flames, her face turning pale, tears blurring her vision.
“Weiwei!” Mo Xiao embraced her, his large hand covering her eyes, as he raised his gaze to the column of fire in the distance, an indescribable taste in his heart.
“Bang bang bang—”
The raging fire devoured the beautiful island, eventually turning everything into nothingness, leaving only the faint smell of gunpowder.
Jian Qing averted her gaze, Quan Jingwu drew her closer, his fingertips weaving through her hair, his deep purple eyes reflecting the firelight not too far away.
“Jingwu, everything will get better, right?” she asked in a muffled voice.
Quan Jingwu’s lips pursed lightly with a hum, “It will.”
With her, every day was a clear day!
The yacht had traveled a distance when Black Jack and Bai Jue got the message and personally came to pick them up in a plane. Seeing that Jian Qing and the others were safe, they both finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Having just woken up not long ago and after so much had happened, Jian Wei fell asleep from exhaustion before even getting off the yacht, not waking even when Mo Xiao carried her onto the plane.
After settling Jian Wei, Mo Xiao stayed in the room to accompany her, while Jian Qing and Quan Jingwu sat on the sofa outside, holding the two little treasures.
“Luoluo didn’t fuss to come along?” Jian Qing asked.
Black Jack crooked his lips slightly, “He fussed about coming, but I stopped him. Grandpa hasn’t been feeling well these past few days, so I asked him to stay at the Manor to accompany him.”
“Jian, what exactly happened during this time? Was it Shen Yan who helped you escape?” Bai Jue asked.
Jian Qing nodded lightly and briefly explained what happened on the island.
After hearing it, Black Jack and Bai Jue didn’t know how to react.
Shen Yan had used his own life to call back Shen Hua’s conscience—the cost was truly too heavy!
The setting sun was blood-red, casting a faint golden glow over the Manor, hazy and blurred.
Hearing the sound of the plane landing, the Elder Master Jian couldn’t sit still any longer. Jian Luo, feeling helpless, helped him to the Courtyard to wait.
The plane slowly landed, Elder Master Jian and Jian Luo both wearing faces of anticipation.
