Chapter 988: 974, Little Wizard Nineteen (3) Chapter 988: 974, Little Wizard Nineteen (3) “Ayan.”

Shen Yan, with a laugh in his gaze, responded and then turned his eyes towards Shen Hua, lowered his voice and said, “Brother, Awei just woke up, so let her be happy for a bit, okay? Your relationship is already tense enough.”

Upon hearing this, Shen Hua hesitated then looked down at the nineteen-month-old in his arms, whose chubby little hands were pinching his face, making a funny grimace at him.

Shen Yan couldn’t help but laugh, and Shen Hua was almost angry enough to turn his back on him.

“Don’t ever bring him here again, or you might as well not come either.” He dropped the sentence and walked back to sit on the sofa.

Shen Yan gently touched the nineteen-month-old’s little head and carried him over to Jian Wei, with the child’s purple eyes curiously watching Jian Wei.

“Awei, this is the nineteen-month-old,” he placed the child on the bed, and smart as he was, the child crawled towards Jian Wei instinctively.

“Grandma.”

The soft, milky voice shot straight into Jian Wei’s tenderest spot.

She smiled and embraced him, touching his chubby little face, with tears glistening in her eyes, “Nineteen-month-old, what did you call me? Can you say it again, please?”

So this was the wonderful feeling of being a grandma.

She was so happy she could almost fly.

“Grandma, pretty.” The nineteen-month-old’s little mouth, as if coated with honey, melted Jian Wei’s heart.

“Good baby!”

She bent down and kissed his little face firmly, her radiant smile more dazzling than the sunlight outside.

Shen Hua watched her holding the nineteen-month-old, the tender smile in his own eyes as if he had returned to the times past when her smile had blossomed for him.

“Not right.” The nineteen-month-old lifted his little head, and his serious little expression made Jian Wei chuckle. She played along and asked, “What’s not right, hmm?”

“Good baby is for mommy.” The nineteen-month-old corrected her clearly.

This time, it was Jian Wei who was taken aback, “Why is mommy called ‘good baby’?”

The nineteen-month-old tilted his head, recalling, then explained with a beaming face, “Daddy says, mommy has to be good.”

“Haha!” Jian Wei burst out laughing, hugging the nineteen-month-old tightly.

“Little clever clogs.”

This little treasure was just too adorable.

The nineteen-month-old scratched his head, not understanding why she was laughing so heartily.

The round little body squirmed in her arms, and a chocolate fell out of his pocket, which he promptly picked up.

Jian Wei saw the chocolate in the little one’s hand and couldn’t help but remember her own daughter who also loved to eat sweets like chocolate when she was little.

Lost in thought, the little guy pushed the chocolate into her hand, “Grandma, eat.”

“For me?” Jian Wei looked at him in surprise.

“Mhm mhm.” The nineteen-month-old nodded his little head.

“Nineteen-month-old, does mommy like to eat this?” Jian Wei clutched the chocolate, wanting to understand her daughter better.

“Mommy, uncle, nineteen-month-old, all like,” the nineteen-month-old counted on his little fingers, “Daddy, seventeen-month-old, don’t like.”

Hearing this, the smile in Jian Wei’s eyes deepened.

“Nineteen-month-old, grandma has chocolate, so why doesn’t old uncle have any?” Shen Yan, sitting at the foot of the bed, arms crossed, teased the child.

“Grandma pretty.” The little guy cunningly stated.

“Tsk tsk, Awei, seems like the little guy still favours you.” Shen Yan teased her.

Jian Wei added with a jab, “I’m pretty, you’re ugly, that’s why you don’t have any.”

Shen Yan couldn’t help but chuckle, “Had I known, I wouldn’t have brought the little guy. You two team up to bully me, tsk, unfair.”

On the sofa, Shen Hua looked at the lively scene of laughter and chatter not far away, and watching the nineteen-month-old being held in Jian Wei’s arms, a touch of jealousy sprouted within him.

“Nineteen-month-old, grandma hasn’t prepared a red envelope for the first time meeting you, tell me what you want, okay?” Jian Wei gently poked his plump little cheek and softly asked.

Without a second thought, the nineteen-month-old said, “Lollipop.”

Jian Wei’s smile widened at the corners of her mouth, “Why do you want a lollipop?”

“Daddy, no giving.”

Shen Yan watched from the side, taking pleasure in the misfortune as he chuckled.

Understanding Quan Jingwu, Jian Wei, who had kept Jian Qing from eating too many snacks since childhood, immediately said, “Nineteen, you can’t eat too many lollipops. If you eat too much, you’ll get cavities, and then Nineteen will become a toothless old man, and not handsome anymore.”

“Like an old witch?” Nineteen asked, not quite understanding.

From a distance, Shen Hua’s face darkened.

Jian Wei was not aware of the “old witch” joke yet. Thinking about the old witch in the storybooks she read to Jian Qing, she nodded her head.

“Yes, just as ugly as the old witch.”

Before she finished speaking, Shen Yan couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Immediately feeling a chill behind him, he quickly stifled his laughter.

He coughed lightly and, with his back to Shen Hua, his eyes brimmed with a smile.

“Ayan, you can go now.” Unable to stand it any longer and seeing no need to keep it up, Shen Hua issued a direct command to leave.

“Bro, I just remembered I need to get some pills from Dr. Kesen. I’ll be right back, I’ll come to hold Nineteen later.”

Without waiting for Shen Hua’s consent, Shen Yan quickly slipped out of the room.

It was fortunate that Dr. Kesen’s Research Room was also nearby the small garden, or he really would have had a hard time finding an excuse.

Seeing that Shen Yan wanted to give Jian Wei and Nineteen more time together, Shen Hua’s face fell, and he quickly walked back to the bedside.

“I’ll have someone send him back.”

With his large hand reaching out, Jian Wei hugged Nineteen tightly, her eyes warily watching him, “Ayan said wait for him to do it.”

“Old witches are bad.” Nineteen hid in Jian Wei’s embrace, extending a little foot to try and kick at Shen Hua’s hand.

Old witch?

Jian Wei finally realized the “nickname” Nineteen had for Shen Hua. She briefly froze, then recalled Shen Yan’s laughter upon hearing the term “old witch.”

So that’s what it was.

She glanced at Shen Hua’s face, as dark as the bottom of a pot.

Shen Hua withdrew his hand, his dark eyes staring at Nineteen.

Purple eyes met black eyes, the older and the younger engaging in a staring contest.

“Nineteen, where is Seventeen?” Jian Wei shifted the little one’s attention, to avoid a confrontation with Shen Hua.

Nineteen said, “Seventeen is sleeping.”

Jian Wei wanted to learn more about Jian Qing and Jian Luo. “Nineteen, is uncle good to you all?”

“Uncle is good, auntie too,” Nineteen smiled with eyes narrowed, “They buy Nineteen tasty treats and play with Nineteen.”

“Auntie?” Jian Wei felt thunder rolling over her head.

Her son got married too?

What’s going on here?

To prevent Nineteen from annoying his own brother to fainting, Shen Yan didn’t dare linger too long outside and quickly returned.

“Awei, we’re leaving now, will come to see you again when free,” he said.

He picked up Nineteen and Jian Wei reluctantly let go, her gaze sticking to Nineteen.

“Nineteen, a kiss for grandma,” Shen Yan said, seeing her reluctance, leaning over to let Nineteen get close to Jian Wei.

Nineteen pouted, and Jian Wei accommodatingly leaned forward, feeling the wet kiss on her cheek.

“Good boy.”

Jian Wei smiled with eyes narrowed and stroked his little head.

After seeing off Shen Yan and Nineteen, the room was left with only Shen Hua and her.

The smile at the corner of Jian Wei’s mouth faded, and she turned to look out the window, completely ignoring the ugly look on Shen Hua’s face.
