Chapter 944: 930, Flirting and Acting Cute, Not One Less (3) Chapter 944: 930, Flirting and Acting Cute, Not One Less (3) “Mom, precious baby is fine,” Quan Jingwu said in a calm voice.

After slurping up the last of her noodles, Jian Qing was stunned to hear him calling the person on the other end of the phone ‘mom’.

His mom?

That would be her mother-in-law, right?

“It’s good that she’s fine. Then you should bring her back quickly,” Rhee said, not daring to ask about Jian Qing’s memory loss, fearing that it would upset Quan Jingwu. She changed the subject, “Seventeen and Nineteen haven’t seen her for a long time. The two little ones have been clamoring to find you ever since they woke up this morning.”

Quan Jingwu replied, “Hmm, we’re coming back soon.”

“Nineteen, don’t snatch Grandma’s phone,” Rhee’s voice carried a hint of helplessness mixed with indulgence, and Jian Qing distinctly heard a child’s laughter over the phone.

Could it be the pair of twins that Luoluo had mentioned she gave birth to, her and his children?

“Daddy, Daddy!”

A soft, mushy voice came from the phone, unexpectedly poking Jian Qing’s heart with a potent baby tone.

“Daddy, Nineteen wants a hug.” When Nineteen started being whiny, no one could resist, especially since he shared an almost identical little face with Jian Qing. Once he started acting spoiled, Quan Jingwu was the first to give in,

“Alright, Daddy will be back soon, and he will bring Mommy back to hug you both.” Quan Jingwu always had endless patience with his two little buns.

“Jingwu, I won’t talk to you anymore for now. I need to feed Seventeen and the others. We can talk when you get back,” said Rhee.

After the call ended in a rush, Jian Qing was still reluctantly hung up on the little one’s voice.

“Is that my child?”

The faint, mosquito-like voice rose softly. Quan Jingwu put down his phone, gently rubbed her head, and corrected, “Our children.”

Jian Qing reflexively asked, “Are they doing well?”

“They miss you very much,” he said.

Jian Qing fell silent, her heart filling even more with anticipation to meet the two little ones.

Seeing her empty bowl, Quan Jingwu asked, “Are you full?”

Jian Qing nodded.

“Then let’s go,” he said, setting down his chopsticks. He pulled out some napkins to wipe his mouth and casually took her hand.

“Where to?”

“Don’t you want to meet Seventeen and Nineteen?”

At his words, Jian Qing ceased struggling and allowed him to lead her.

Quan Jingwu glanced at her from the corner of his eye. From his angle, he could clearly see her curled eyelashes fluttering, casting a faint blue shadow beneath her eyelids.

Hand in hand, the two of them walked out of the dining room and happened to come across Black Jack and Jian Luo, who were about to leave.

“Where are you two going?” Jian Luo looked at Quan Jingwu and asked.

“Back to the old mansion.”

Jian Luo glanced at Jian Qing and instantly understood Quan Jingwu’s intentions.

Indeed, a mother’s bond with her child is strong. Perhaps seeing Seventeen and Nineteen might trigger Jian Qing’s memory.

“Then take care on your way,” Jian Luo said.

After that, Jian Luo and Black Jack left first.

On the ride, Jian Qing kept staring out of the car window, brimming with anticipation for the two little ones.

I wonder if our children look more like me or him?

Quan Jingwu, with one hand on the steering wheel, tightened his grip on her hand and said, “Don’t worry, I am here for everything.”

“Do they know about my amnesia?” Jian Qing asked in a low voice, gazing downward.

Quan Jingwu hummed affirmatively, “Don’t worry.”

Jian Qing returned her gaze to the window, her eyes clouded with a misty hue, leaving one unable to fathom her thoughts.

The Quan Family

Rhee and the others did not leave the house when they learned that Jian Qing was coming home today; they were waiting for her at home.

“It’s been so long; why hasn’t she arrived yet?” Rhee paced back and forth anxiously.

Quan Mingxuan said, “Aunt, don’t worry. They should be arriving soon. Please have a seat for now.”

“Axuan, remember, all of you, don’t casually mention the fact that Qing has lost her memory,” the Quan Family matriarch instructed.

“Exactly, Jian Qing has lost her memory and will definitely feel unfamiliar with us. We must make her feel the warmth of home and help Jingwu persuade her to stay here,” Rhee agreed.

“Don’t worry, we understand,” Quan Mingxuan assured, patting his chest.

Suddenly, little Luoluo ran over and hugged Rhee’s leg, tilting her little head up and said in a tender voice, “Grandma, I want to find Daddy!”

“Alright, sweetheart, Daddy will be back soon,” Rhee squatted down, caressed her little face, and said softly.

Before she finished speaking, the sound of a car came from outside.

Quan Mingxuan looked at the two little treasures and with a glint in his eyes said, “Seventeen, Nineteen, your Daddy and Mommy are back; go out and have a look.”

“Axuan, you child!” Granny Quan scolded with a laugh.

Upon hearing his words, Seventeen and Nineteen immediately dropped their toys and scurried out with their little legs.

“Seventeen, Nineteen, slow down,” Rhee said uneasily as she watched the two little ones stumble out the door.

In the courtyard, Quan Jingwu had parked the car, and Jian Qing was waiting beside it.

“Let’s go,” he said.

He walked around the car to her, took her hand, and as Jian Qing looked down at their clasped hands, just as she was about to speak, she heard the children’s milky voices from afar.

“Mommy, Mommy!”

The glaring sunlight turned the little treasures’ faces a rosy red, and their delicate eyes shone with bright smiles.

Jian Qing’s eyes quivered, her heart swelled, and she couldn’t help but feel her eyes reddening, blurring her vision with the moisture that welled up within them.

She blinked back the tears that threatened to fall.

Could this be the wonderful bond of blood kinship?

“Mommy!”

Seeing Jian Qing, the little treasures grew even more excited.

Seventeen, being stronger than Nineteen, ran ahead to Jian Qing, hugged her leg, and rubbed his face against it, “Mommy, hug!”

Jian Qing looked down at Seventeen, a bit helpless.

Seeing her nervosity, Quan Jingwu bent down and picked up Seventeen, “Come here, Seventeen, Daddy will hold you.”

“Mommy, want Mommy!” Having not seen Jian Qing for a long time, Seventeen clung to her, his little body struggling to get into her arms.

“Mommy, Nineteen wants, Nineteen wants a hug,” Nineteen waved his little hands excitedly, his bright eyes fixated on Jian Qing, completely oblivious to the stone under his feet, tripping over it.

The little round body tumbled to the ground, rolling over a couple of times.

“Nineteen!”

Rhee, who was rushing over, turned pale at the sight.

Before she could pick up Nineteen, someone else was already cradling him faster than she could react.

When Rhee saw who was holding Nineteen, she relaxed.

“Mommy, Mommy…”

Nineteen’s soft knees were scraped raw, and the sight of fresh red blood was startling, but he was brave. Seeing Jian Qing, he held back the tears in his eyes and stubbornly refused to cry out in pain.

“Mommy, Nineteen, miss.”

His chubby little hands clung tightly around Jian Qing’s neck, afraid she would leave, and his little head kept rubbing against her neck, coquettishly seeking attention without missing a beat.

Jian Qing looked at the little one in her arms, her gaze becoming tender; his purple eyes were so much like Quan Jingwu’s, yet his face was her own spitting image.

Hearing the little one’s milky voice calling her “Mommy,” even the hardest heart would melt at his charm.
