Chapter 943: 929, this is yours originally. (2) Chapter 943: 929, this is yours originally. (2) “Even if there were, that was in the past,” she said unwillingly, trying to shift from a passive position.

Jingwu’s purple eyes darkened as he looked at her, his gaze deepening, “Is it really just the past?”

She was just arguing with him and didn’t expect that her words would hurt him; Jian Qing could clearly see the pain in the depths of his eyes. She opened her mouth but didn’t know what to say.

She lowered her gaze to the ring on her hand, and they both fell into an eerie silence.

After a while, Jian Qing shifted slightly and extended her fair hand, lightly covering his. The cool palm felt exceptionally warm to Jingwu.

He grasped her hand in return, pulling her close and hugging her tightly, “Sweetheart, it doesn’t matter if you’ve forgotten me; I will always be with you. Even if you can’t remember our past, I will fill that blank space in your memory with our future.”

Ripples spread through Jian Qing’s eyes, and the corners of her lips curled in an arc that she didn’t notice herself.

“Sleep now, I’m here with you.”

Jingwu pulled her down onto the bed, using his arm as a pillow for her and pulling the blanket over them both.

This time, Jian Qing didn’t pull away from him.

Because, deep in her heart, a voice was telling her that she couldn’t bear to see the man in front of her upset.

The man’s cool fragrance lingered around her nose, and as sleepiness overcame her, Jian Qing rested against him, seemingly forgetting that she had just wanted to keep her distance from him.

Some habits are etched into your bones, impossible to forget even if you wanted to.

Before long, her eyelids grew heavy and closed, and Jian Qing’s breath slowly became steady and deep.

Jingwu’s gaze never left her, admiring her delicate sleeping face. He lifted his hand, fingertips brushing gently across her eyebrows, nose, and finally coming to rest on her soft red lips.

He lowered his head and moved closer, his thin lips touching her soft red ones in a brief kiss before pulling away.

“Welcome back, my treasure!”

With each other’s company, they had a good night’s sleep through the long night.

When Jian Qing woke up, it was already broad daylight.

She squinted her eyes, lazily turning over, her fingertips brushing something smooth. She jolted awake, and her sleepiness vanished instantly.

She lifted her head, and the man’s solid chest came into view. Her fingertip burnt from the touch, and she quickly withdrew her hand, then hurried to get up.

Seeing her cute reaction, Jingwu’s lips curled up, feeling quite pleased.

“Get up and wash up, I’m going to make you breakfast.”

Jian Qing murmured an acknowledgement and quickly got out of bed to head toward the bathroom.

Compared to yesterday’s estrangement, the atmosphere between them had become somewhat delicate.

Jingwu sat up, shaking his slightly numb arm, the corners of his lips subtly lifting.

Downstairs, Jian Luo and the other two were up early.

After breakfast, seeing that the two upstairs hadn’t come down for a long time, Jian Luo was a bit surprised, “Looking at this situation, it seems like my sister has recovered her memory.”

Bai Jue rolled his eyes at him and said helplessly, “You know how much Jian Qing cares about Jingwu. Even if she has temporarily lost her memory, her feelings for Jingwu won’t just be wiped clean because of that.”

Habits are a terrifying thing, and that’s not just a saying.

“Sis!”

Hearing footsteps, Jian Luo looked toward the staircase as Jian Qing and Jingwu walked down side by side. Compared to the day before, Jingwu’s face was brimming with a faint smile, seeming in a good mood.

The gazes of Jian Luo and the others landed on Jian Qing and Jingwu’s clasped hands, and they all smiled knowingly.

“Luoluo, why are you all up so early?” Jian Qing was surprised to see all three of them together.

“Early?” Jian Luo’s mouth twitched slightly, “Sis, it’s almost ten now.”

It was them who had gotten up late, yet she commented on them getting up early.

At his words, Jian Qing glanced at the wall clock and silently slipped away.

Watching their retreating figures, Bai Jue whistled lazily.

“I was right, wasn’t I? For Jian Qing, Quan Jingwu takes precedence over her own life. Even with amnesia, she will involuntarily be drawn to him,” he said.

“What’re you doing?” Jian Luo asked with a mix of laughter and tears.

“Just happy for the two of them,” Bai Jue replied.

Jian Luo asked, “Where are you heading later?”

“Of course, I’m going to find my wife,” Bai Jue said unashamedly.

“Shameless, if I remember correctly, Mingyan hardly acknowledged she is your wife,” Jian Luo teased.

Bai Jue snorted lightly, grabbed his keys, and headed out, “I’m in a good mood today, too lazy to argue with you. I’m off to see my wife.”

In the kitchen, a faint aroma filled the air.

Jian Qing leaned against the refrigerator, tilting her head to watch the man who was making noodles for her.

The fragmented golden light softened the man’s stern features, and Jian Qing’s red lips curled into a gentle smile.

It’s said that men who can cook are especially handsome.

Though he was already handsome.

“Alright, come and have a taste,” he said.

Quan Jingwu wiped his hands, picked up some chopsticks, and brought out the freshly made noodles.

Jian Qing followed behind him, just as she sat down, a steaming bowl of noodles was placed before her, and the rich broth was appetizing.

She picked up the chopsticks, ready to dig in, but was stopped by a large hand.

“Wait,” he said.

Jian Qing looked at him puzzled, “Hmm?”

Quan Jingwu took off the necklace around his neck, then leaned towards her. Jian Qing’s hand clutching the chopsticks paused, her clear eyes reflecting the purple necklace in his hand.

“This necklace looks familiar, have I seen it somewhere before?” she unwittingly voiced her internal thoughts.

It felt so familiar, as if she had seen this necklace many times before.

Quan Jingwu’s lips curled, and he put the necklace on her, “This was originally yours.”

“Mine?” Jian Qing looked down at the necklace around her neck, quite surprised.

He nodded, and showed her his wrist, revealing his own bracelet, “That was my gift to you, and this was your gift to me.”

Jian Qing looked at the necklace around her neck and involuntarily gazed into his deep purple eyes.

“Eat up before the noodles get cold,” he said, gently ruffling her hair.

She hummed in agreement and bowed her head to eat.

Halfway through the meal, she suddenly asked, “Where are we going later?”

“Our home,” he replied with a pause, his chopsticks in mid-air.

Jian Qing’s eyes sharpened, ‘Their home’?

Suddenly, the phone on the table vibrated.

Quan Jingwu released his chopsticks and picked up the phone. It was a call from home.

He glanced at Jian Qing and turned on the speakerphone.

“Jingwu, have you found Little Qingqing? How is she, is she alright, has she been hurt?” Rhee’s voice burst forth like a machine gun as soon as he spoke.

Jian Qing watched his phone, a wave of warmth passing through her heart.

Even though she didn’t know who was speaking on the other end of the phone, she could feel their care for her.
