Chapter 846: 832, Intentionally pushed her down (2) Chapter 846: 832, Intentionally pushed her down (2) Those who dared to touch him shouldn’t blame him for being heartless and ruthless.
At this moment, Bai Jue might not even be aware of when Zhan Mingyan became his person, when he had already habitually included her in his camp.
Jian Luo’s lips curled upwards, when Bai Jue got vicious, he was nothing less than a ferocious lion.
Hearing this, everyone’s expression changed slightly, discontent with Bai Jue dragging these innocent people into the situation.
“It was her, she did it.”
Suddenly, a man in the crowd jumped out, pointing at a woman hiding in the corner, speaking urgently.
“When we came over after hearing the noise, this woman was standing exactly where Zhan Mingyan had just been standing. She’s the one who knocked Zhan Mingyan down.”
Following the direction the man was pointing, everyone’s gaze landed on Li Sisi.
Realizing the stares coming her way, Li Sisi’s face turned ashen with fear, and she quickly denied it, “You’re framing me, I didn’t do it, what makes you think it was me? If you don’t have evidence, I can sue you for slander.”
Zhan Mingyan had just been standing in a spot with no surveillance, as long as she adamantly denied it, there would definitely be no problem, she reassured herself.
“You know very well whether I’m framing you or not, you were the only one standing there when Zhan Mingyan fell,” the man asserted confidently.
Zhan Mingyan looked at Li Sisi, then turned her gaze towards Bai Jue, a hint of mockery flashing in her eyes, “Bai Jue, your woman knocked me down, yet you saved me. Are you planning to use me as a seasoning for you two?”
Bai Jue’s handsome face darkened, his grip on her wrist tightening, “Zhan Mingyan, stop always lumping her and me together.”
“Ha.”
Zhan Mingyan’s lips curled into a cold smile, “Am I the one lumping you two together? Bai Jue, I’m not a matchmaker, I don’t have the ability to tie you two together.”
“You idiot, you’ll drive me to my grave with your infuriating ways!” Bai Jue’s head seemed to steam with anger, yet looking at her pale face, he couldn’t bring himself to speak harshly.
“Stay here, don’t move.”
No sooner had his words ended than he released her hand and approached Li Sisi.
“Mingyan, are you okay?” Quan Yifei stepped forward, reaching out to support her, asking with concern, “Do you feel any discomfort anywhere?”
Zhan Mingyan shook her head, looking up at Bai Jue’s retreating back, her eyes flickering darkly.
In the past, seeing Bai Jue, Li Sisi would have clung to him with joy, but now, his foreboding countenance only made her want to flee.
Bai Jue halted his stride, his gaze piercing as he looked towards Li Sisi, his voice cold as ice, “Did you deliberately push her down?”
“No, it wasn’t me, Mr. Bai, don’t listen to their nonsense, it’s not my fault, that person is framing me, why would I push Miss Zhan down, she and I have no grudges, why would I do that, besides, I don’t have the guts to do such a thing,” Li Sisi’s voice trembled as she spoke, reaching to grab Bai Jue’s hand, but he dodged her.
Bai Jue took a step back, his brows furrowed coldly, “I’ll ask you one more time, did you deliberately push her down, yes or no?”
“I didn’t,” Li Sisi bellowed, tears welling up and rolling down her cheeks, “Why won’t you believe me? I’ve said I didn’t push her, what good would it do me to push her, why would I do such a thing?”
When Bai Jue saw Zhan Mingyan’s tears, he would panic, he would feel pain, but upon seeing Li Sisi’s tears, his first reaction was annoyance.
His gaze suddenly darkened, his right hand reached out like a claw towards her neck, grabbing hold of it, “Tell me, was it you or not?”
“Hiss—”
Nobody expected Bai Jue to suddenly lash out and strangle someone, they watched, speechless with shock.
Black Jack and the others, however, seemed nonchalant with a watchful, amused smile.
“Cough, cough, cough… Mr. Bai, let go of me…” Li Sisi’s face reddened as she tried to pry away Bai Jue’s firm grip, struggling in vain.
“I’m running out of patience, if you don’t speak up I’ll have no choice but to throw you down to clear your mind,” Bai Jue’s eyes glinted with harsh ruthlessness.
“No, please don’t,” Li Sisi screamed, her tears and snot becoming a mess.
“Mr. Bai, you can’t do this to me, I got carried away because of you,” she wailed.
“…”
The crowd was bewildered, and their look at Bai Jue turned peculiar.
Zhan Mingyan’s eyes darkened, and the corners of her lips curled up with a hint of sarcasm.
Bai Jue’s gaze turned cold, and his hand clenching her neck tightened abruptly, “Because I’ve lost my mind, you seem to be quite good at finding excuses.”
“Mr. Bai, I was wrong, please let me go just this once, for the real affection I have for you, I beg you to spare me.”
Bai Jue let out a cold laugh, loosened his grip on her, then pushed her against the railing. Li Sisi leaned back, her body hanging in midair, and her face turned pale with fright.
“Mr. Bai, what are you trying to do…”
“Just giving your brain a chance to clear up, it seems you haven’t quite understood the saying that one should think before they speak,” he said slowly, a dangerous smile playing on his lips.
“So, you might as well experience it firsthand.”
Without giving her a chance to react, he easily pulled her up and threw her straight off the cruise ship.
“Ah—”
A piercing scream echoed across the sky, followed by a splash and water spraying everywhere.
Uh…
The onlookers stared in shock and swallowed hard.
What the hell.
That was rather blunt.
“Pfft.”
Jian Luo burst into laughter, resting one hand on Black Jack’s shoulder, unable to contain himself.
“Help, help me…”
Although Li Sisi could swim, being thrown into the sea suddenly caused her to cry out reflexively for help.
Zhan Mingyan paused, looking up to see Bai Jue approaching her, and turned to leave.
“Hey, Mingyan, where are you going?” Quan Yifei hadn’t quite recovered from the sight of Li Sisi being thrown into the sea and called out to Zhan Mingyan as she saw her leaving.
Before Zhan Mingyan had taken two steps, her wrist was suddenly grasped, and turning her head, she bumped into the man’s sturdy chest.
Ugh, that hurts.
She rubbed her forehead and looked up to see Bai Jue, her face immediately grew serious.
Without a word, Bai Jue scooped her up, startling Zhan Mingyan.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“Stay quiet,” Bai Jue glanced down at her, his face tense.
“Whoa, Bai Jue, what’s the situation between you two?” Jian Luo whistled and teased.
“Yeah, when did you two get together?” Han Yue chimed in.
Hearing their teasing, Zhan Mingyan struggled even more to get down from his arms.
“Put me down, let go of me.”
Bai Jue lowered his head to her ear, the corner of his lips slightly lifted, “If you struggle again, I’ll kiss you right here, since they already think we’ve got something going on.”
“You…” Zhan Mingyan was so annoyed she felt itchy, and when he moved closer, she quickly pushed against him.
“Get lost.”
A triumphant smile flickered in Bai Jue’s eyes as he strode off with her in his arms.
“Oh dear, she’s been rescued already, why leave this rope here? It’s spoiling the view.” Quan Yifei, with sharp eyes, saw Li Sisi about to grab the rope and quickly pulled it back, gathering it up.
