Monopolize My Mysterious Wife
Chapter 841 - 841 827 Gender Reassignment (3)

Chapter 841: 827, Gender Reassignment (3) Chapter 841: 827, Gender Reassignment (3) Bai Jue pulled out a chair and sat down, pouring himself a glass of wine and downing it in one gulp, “Got my clothes wet, so I went back to change before coming here.”

Seeing that Jian Luo was about to ask more questions, he quickly changed the subject, “I have to say, you guys are too weak. It’s been so long and you still haven’t gotten the groom drunk? Pathetic.”

“If you think you can do better, you try,” Han Yue propped his head with one hand, his eyelids fighting a battle of their own.

He even suspected that Quan Jingwu had taken some antidote before coming to compete with them in drinking. After such a long time, his face had only turned a slight shade of red, with no sign of passing out at all.

Bai Jue declared boldly, “Fine, I’ll do it.”

He set down his wine glass and opened two bottles of red wine, then placed one bottle in front of Quan Jingwu, “One bottle each, do you dare?”

Quan Jingwu’s dark brows lifted slightly, and he took it up to drink. The others exchanged glances and smiled in unison, the tacit understanding turning towards Bai Jue. Bai Jue snorted and picked up a bottle to compete with him in drinking.

Thud.

The empty wine bottle was placed on the table, making a light sound.

Quan Jingwu stood up, ready to leave.

“Continue drinking without me, I’m leaving first.”

“Hey, since when does the groom leave so early?” Jian Luo clamored, refusing to let him go.

Quan Jingwu raised his eyes and glanced at him, saying in a calm voice, “Seventeen and Nineteen need to be taken care of.”

What really mattered was that he was worried he couldn’t handle the two little treasures alone, and moreover, a night of bridal chamber is worth a thousand gold; these clueless idiots were really asking for a beating.

Hearing about the two little treasures, Seventeen and Nineteen, Jian Luo, though reluctant, had to let him go—after all, the two little treasures were his precious ones.

“Bai Jue, why do I feel like you’re acting a bit weird?” Han Yue forced himself to be alert and looked at Bai Jue, who was in a low mood, and asked.

Bai Jue glanced at him sidelong, “Not at all, you’re just drunk.”

Han Yue shook his head, “Impossible, there’s definitely something up with you.”

Bai Jue couldn’t help but mute his bellyaching about Han Yue’s too-sharp eyes. He was just about to speak when a soft, feminine voice interrupted from beside him.

“Mr. Bai!”

“Hey, Bai Jue, there’s a beauty looking for you,” Han Yue teased, noticing the arrival.

Bai Jue nudged him, feeling that the voice seemed familiar. As he turned to look, the woman had already approached him.

This woman, why is she like a lingering ghost…

Indeed, the person was Li Sisi.

Having finally seen a handsome and wealthy man, how could she afford to let Bai Jue slip away easily?

“May I sit here?” Li Sisi looked at the table full of handsome men she had never seen before, feeling a fluttering of excitement in her heart.

“No,” Bai Jue said coldly, without a trace of his previous warmth and passion.

Li Sisi’s shy expression stiffened, her demeanor becoming somewhat uneasy.

Jian Luo and the others watched leisurely as the scene between her and Bai Jue unfolded, clearly in the mood for a good show.

She collected herself, her smile turning awkward, “Mr. Bai, you’re joking, right?”

She couldn’t understand why Bai Jue, who had been so gentle with her not long ago, had become like a completely different person in just a short time.

Bai Jue fiddled with his wine glass, his brow revealing a hint of impatience, “Do I look like I’m joking with you?”

Jian Luo watched Bai Jue with an odd look in his eyes. Was this guy on explosives tonight?

Li Sisi turned pale and glanced over at Han Yue and the others before running away.

Watching Li Sisi run off, Jian Luo put his hand on Bai Jue’s shoulder, grinning mischievously, “Bai Jue, what’s with you tonight? A woman throws herself at you and you’re not interested? Have you changed your ways?”

“I’m not a scavenger, eating just anything,” Bai Jue glanced at him and said coolly.

Jian Luo burst out laughing, “I always thought you were a scavenger.”

Ever since he had known him, he had flirted with most of the girls in school, not to mention other women outside.

“Get lost,” Bai Jue said irritably.

“Hahaha.” Seeing Bai Jue get ruffled, Jian Luo felt satisfied and sat back next to Black Jack, pushing the wine in front of him further away.

“Stop drinking, you’ll feel terrible tomorrow.”

“Wow wow wow, the lovey-dovey act here is really not at all obvious,” Han Yue said with a teasing look as he propped his chin, watching Jian Luo and Black Jack.

“Poor little me is still a lonely man, ah, no one cares about me,” lamented Han Yue.

“Why don’t you look for Mingxuan?” Jian Luo suggested deliberately.

Upon hearing this, Han Yue looked at him as if he had seen a ghost, quickly protesting, “Why would I do that? I’m not into him like that; I like women, you know, curvy girls. We’re just friends, thank you.”

His mother was also there, and if she heard this, he couldn’t clear his name even if he jumped into the sea.

“I don’t think I said anything wrong. Can’t friends care about each other?” Jian Luo said with a smile as he watched Han Yue desperately trying to distance himself from Quan Mingxuan.

Han Yue was speechless, “…”

“You’re in such a hurry to explain, could it be that you really feel something for Mingxuan…” Jian Luo gave him a meaningful look, his gaze shifting between him and Quan Mingxuan.

Han Yue quickly waved his hands, “Absolutely not, nothing like that.”

“Forget it, I’d better ask Mingxuan,” said Jian Luo as he turned to wake up Quan Mingxuan, who was passed out drunk on the table.

“Stop it, that’s not funny,” Han Yue quickly grabbed him, looking pleadingly at Black Jack to get him to control his partner. The latter adhered to the principle that a happy wife is a happy life and blatantly ignored the look Han Yue gave him.

“Ancestor, I’m begging you, go wash up and sleep, my mom is coming,” Han Yue became even more anxious as he saw his mother approaching.

Jian Luo looked up and indeed Han Yue’s mother was heading their way. His smile grew even more wicked, “Don’t worry, Han Yue, I understand. I will keep your secret.”

With that, he patted his shoulder.

Han Yue was utterly confused, meeting his gaze that seemed to say ‘I know everything,’ he felt frustrated.

He didn’t understand anything; it was all a misunderstanding, and yet he claimed to understand.

“Black Jack, let’s go. They have fireworks arranged over there, let’s check them out,” Jian Luo said as he took hold of Black Jack and bid farewell to Bai Jue and the others before leaving.

Seeing Jian Luo leave, Han Yue finally breathed a sigh of relief, only to meet Quan Yimo’s inquisitive gaze, with three black lines sliding down from his head in frustration.

“Ayue, are you and Axuan really…?” Quan Yimo crossed his arms, looking like he was ready to interrogate him.

Actually, it wasn’t entirely impossible, considering the two of them had grown up together and neither had a girlfriend, they often hung out together.

Han Yue was on the verge of tears, “No, don’t listen to Jian Luo’s nonsense, he’s deliberately setting me up. I swear I have no such feelings for Quan Mingxuan.”

“No feelings for who?” Liu Shi’s voice sounded from behind.

Han Yue’s handsome face crumpled into a frown as he slowly turned, and seeing the puzzled look on his mother’s face, he sheepishly said, “It’s nothing, we were just joking around. Mom, what are you doing here? Dad was just looking for you, you should go back to him.”

“Your dad was looking for me?” Liu Shi asked in confusion, “I just came from your dad, what does he need me for?”
