Chapter 820: 806, calling him Mr. Bai (2) Chapter 820: 806, calling him Mr. Bai (2) “Good boy, come here, let me give you a kiss,” Quan Jingwu said, satisfied, curving his lips into a smile as he pulled her into his arms.

Jian Qing placed her hands on his chest, her eyes glistening allure, “You smell like wine all over, go take a shower.”

“As you wish, wifey!” Before the words even finished, he dipped his head swiftly and planted a firm kiss on her rosy lips.

Then, he walked towards the bathroom, content.

Jian Qing shook her head with a mix of laughter and tears, turning around to fetch his clothes.

The atmosphere inside the car was silent.

Bai Jue was driving while Han Yue sat in the passenger seat with his eyes closed resting, and in the back seat, Xiya was busy texting Khan. As for Mingyan, she gazed out of the window in a daze.

Suddenly, the car stopped.

“Xiya, we’re here,” Bai Jue said, holding the steering wheel as he reminded her.

Xiya put away her phone, greeted Mingyan, and then got out of the car to head home.

Without Xiya’s company, Mingyan felt even more restless, her hands on her lap nervously twisting together.

Keep it together, Mingyan, you don’t know him, you don’t know him…

She kept hypnotizing herself, yet the state of her still intertwined fingers revealed the ineffectiveness of her efforts.

Forget it, she should get out of the car as well – they were already downtown.

“Mr. Bai, please stop the car,” she managed to steady her voice as she spoke.

“Screech—”

The sudden brake made a harsh screeching noise as the tires rubbed against the pavement.

If it weren’t for the seatbelt, Han Yue might have suffered a concussion, he snapped his eyes open and looked at Bai Jue, his first thought being that he was also drunk.

“Bai Jue, are you also drunk?”

Bai Jue gripped the steering wheel tighter, his knuckles turning white.

Mr. Bai?

Wow, that’s quite an innovative title.

Mingyan, who was sitting on the back seat, also got startled. Once she realized what happened, she quickly unfastened her seatbelt, “Han Yue, I’ll go ahead.”

“Wait, Mingyan, we haven’t reached your home yet.” Han Yue glanced at the bustling street and hurriedly called out to her.

“I’m not going home, I need to visit the flower shop.” She explained briefly and then closed the car door behind her.

Bai Jue rolled down the window, his eyes tracking that slim figure as she disappeared into the crowd, his gaze dark and unreadable.

Did he really hurt her badly last time?

“Bai Jue, what are you spacing out for? How about we switch places, and I’ll drive.” Han Yue withdrew his gaze, noticing his distracted demeanor and suggested.

He did have insurance, but he didn’t want to end up with a concussion.

“It’s fine, let’s go.” Bai Jue rolled the window up and spoke indifferently.

Han Yue looked at him suspiciously, secured his seatbelt, and without further thought, laid his head back down to sleep.

The flower shop wasn’t far, and Mingyan walked there.

A light and cheerful tune resonated in the flower shop, the fragrance of flowers wafting out to the entrance. She pushed open the glass door, setting the wind chime tinkling.

In the flower shop, she had hired only two young girls. She greeted them warmly, “Xiaoling, Xiaoqing, did we get a new delivery just now?”

“Yeah, some have arrived, and the people who just delivered the rest said the remainder won’t be here until tomorrow,” Xiaoling said as she sorted and arranged the flowers.

Mingyan nodded, poured herself a cup of hot water, and sat down by the window on a single sofa.

She set the cup on the table, propped her chin in one hand, and as soon as she became quiet, the image of the man with a tall figure and a smirk on his face surfaced in her mind.

She hugged her head and leaned on the desk, the memory of being rejected by him once again in Switzerland caused her heart to ache unavoidably.

You fool Mingyan, he’s rejected you twice already, how can you still think about him?

“Sister Mingyan, are you in a bad mood?”

Mingyan lifted her head and looked at Xiaoqing, “It’s nothing.”

Xiaoqing uttered an “Oh,” then went back to organizing the newly arrived flowers.

Mingyan sighed, wondering if she was so fixated on him simply because he was unattainable?

Forget it, no point in thinking about it. She’s here worrying, while that person is still living a carefree life. Why make things difficult for herself?

With this thought, Mingyan took out the shop’s ledger and began to settle the accounts.

After the full moon celebration was over, Jingwu finally agreed to go back to the company, but after only a few hours, he left work early to go home and cuddle with his wife and child, leaving Shen Hao and the others utterly exasperated.

It was almost nine o’clock, and Jian Qing was still lazing in bed, her collarbone sticking out from the brocade quilt dotted with “strawberries,” clearly indicating a fierce battle the night before.

She squinted her eyes, lazed around in bed for a while, then slowly got up, her feet just touching the ground when the sourness in her waist made her frown.

She rubbed her waist and inwardly cursed Quan Jingwu, that unrestrained fraud.

When she went downstairs after washing up, only the elder Mrs. Quan and Rhee were left in the living room, playing with Seventeen, while her overbearing husband Jingwu and Nineteen were nowhere to be seen.

“Little Qingqing, you’re up. Breakfast is in the dining room, go eat, it’s still warm,” Rhee said with a smile when she saw Jian Qing coming down.

Jian Qing nodded and reached out to pat Seventeen’s little head, “Mom, where did Xiaojing and Nineteen go?”

Rhee replied, “Just now, Shen Hao called to say there was an important last-minute meeting at the company, so Jingwu went there. Nineteen wouldn’t let go of him, so Jingwu took him along.”

“This little guy!” Jian Qing said helplessly.

Both little treasures, Seventeen was gentler and calmer, while Nineteen was more affectionate, especially fond of clinging to Quan Jingwu, and would burst into tears whenever he had to leave.

“Seventeen, Mommy will come to hold you after breakfast.” She bent down and kissed Seventeen’s little face, her gaze softening as she looked at his tender little face.

Seeing that Jian Qing was going to leave without holding him, Seventeen pouted, and tears quickly welled up in his eyes; Rhee hurriedly grabbed a toy to divert his attention.

“Seventeen, look at this. This car is really fun,” she said.

Children’s attention is easily attracted, and seeing the toy car in Rhee’s hand, Seventeen drew back his tears and looked at the toy car with curiosity.

Elsewhere,

The atmosphere in the somber meeting room was somewhat subtle.

Everyone’s gazes occasionally drifted towards Jingwu, or to be precise, they were covertly looking at the little bun he was holding.

The little face was pale and exquisitely carved, fairy-like, especially those crystal-like purple eyes that were a spitting image of their CEO’s, albeit with less chill and more endearing charm.

Because of those eyes alone, they could sense their CEO’s strong genetic influence. No wonder the CEO had stayed home and not come to the office these days; if they had such an adorably irresistible little bun at home, they too would want to hold him every day.

Shen Hao noticed that the executives’ eyes were all covertly watching Nineteen, a hint of helpless amusement flickered in the depths of his eyes.

It seems Nineteen’s charm was truly unstoppable.

With a face similar to the lady of the house and those enchanting purple eyes of the boss, such a combination was indeed heart-stirring. It wasn’t just the other people – even their strategy team couldn’t resist the little one’s allure.
