Chapter 737: 723, Take Your Troubling Elf Away (3)_1 Chapter 737: 723, Take Your Troubling Elf Away (3)_1 “You might want to leave earlier, in case your friend can’t find you.” Zhan Mingyan put down the thermal box and said without changing her expression.

“He won’t need anything, don’t worry.” Bai Jue said casually, “Are you full now?”

“Yes.”

“Then you should rest earlier. I’ll make do on the couch for the night, call me if you need anything.” Bai Jue stood up lazily and said.

Zhan Mingyan nodded out of habit, then realizing what he said, she raised her head and looked at him with bewildered eyes, “You’re going to stay here?”

“Well, we can consider each other friends, so leaving you here alone is not my style,” he smiled.

“You should rest now. When you feel better tomorrow, I’ll help you with the discharge procedure.”

With that, he walked towards the nearby sofa.

The red sofa was about one and a half meters long, far too short for him. As he lay there, curling in his hands and legs, he looked somewhat comical.

Zhan Mingyan looked at him, her pink lips curving upward. But then, thinking of the possibility that another woman might be sleeping in his bedroom, the smile in her eyes gradually faded.

Bai Jue, I was ready to give you up completely, why do you keep appearing in front of me, stirring up my unstable heart?

After a day’s flight, being dragged to a bar for drinks as soon as he landed, and tossed around the entire day, Bai Jue fell asleep on the sofa in no time.

On the contrary, the person on the hospital bed couldn’t sleep at all.

It was dawn before Zhan Mingyan eventually felt a bit sleepy, and fell into a hazy sleep.

The tiny sofa, Bai Jue turned over, almost falling off. He sat up, rubbing his shoulder.

After spending a night on the sofa, his whole body was sore and he stretched his wrists, looking at the person on the hospital bed.

The quiet ward, with only the faint sound of breathing.

He stood up, stretched, and walked towards the bedside without making a sound. The woman on the bed was still sleeping soundly, with no sign of awakening.

He looked down at the woman’s peaceful sleeping face, chuckling quietly.

“Mingyan, you are cuter when you’re asleep.” He murmured softly to himself, then quietly left the ward.

By the time Zhan Mingyan woke up, the man in the room had disappeared.

She sat up, leaning against the bed. A nurse came in and seeing her awake, smiled faintly, “You’re awake. Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

“Hello, may I ask where the gentleman in white who was in this ward went?” Zhan Mingyan asked hoarsely.

“That gentleman left early in the morning.” The nurse replied.

Zhan Mingyan, “Did he leave any message?”

“No.”

A touch of disappointment flashed across Zhan Mingyan’s face. So, he had left.

“Nurse, can I be discharged now?”

The nurse replied, “Yes, but you’ll need to take medicine home and eat it on time.”

Zhan Mingyan lifted the covers and slowly got out of bed, “I want to go through the discharge procedures, can you help me?”

“Sure.” The nurse reached out to support her.

As soon as she completed the discharge procedures, Zhan Mingyan walked slowly out of the hospital.

She hadn’t taken two steps when a voice at her side called out to her.

“Zhan Mingyan!”

The man’s cold voice came over, causing a jolt in Zhan Mingyan’s eyes. She almost thought she had heard an illusion.

She jerked her head up and saw Bai Jue walking towards her with long strides.

Under the sunlight, he was dressed in black pants and a white shirt, forcefully plunging into her sight.

“Didn’t I tell you to wait for me to help you with discharge procedures? Who let you come out so early?” In the blink of an eye, Bai Jue was already in front of her.

Zhan Mingyan returned to her senses, “Why are you here?”

“Just went back to freshen up and change clothes.” Bai Jue looked at her slightly pale face and held back from scolding.

“What are you holding?”

Zhan Mingyan obediently replied, “Pills.”

Bai Jue reached out to take them, looked at them and promptly threw them into a nearby trash can.

“Hey, what are you doing?” By the time Zhan Mingyan reacted, the pills had already been thrown into the trash. She looked at him, puzzled.

“Did you forget what I do for a living?” Bai Jue, asked gloomily.

Recalling his extraordinary medical skills, Zhan Mingyan was left speechless.

“I’ve got the medicine and ointment. Tell me where you live, I’ll take you home.” Bai Jue said.

Zhan Mingyan gave him the address of her hotel, then followed him. Bai Jue glanced at her out of the corner of his eye and slowed his pace.

Once in the car, Zhan Mingyan sat beside him, recalling the last time she was in his car when she confessed her feelings and he rejected her.

Bai Jue leaned over to the back seat, grabbed a jacket, and stuffed it into her arms, “It’s chilly in the early morning, and I won’t be responsible if you catch a cold.”

Zhan Mingyan looked down at the white jacket in her arms. It was clearly a men’s style, so she shot him a sideways glance.

“Yours?”

Bai Jue nodded, “What, are you picky?”

“No.” Zhan Mingyan mumbled, looking at the convertible and choosing to put on the coat anyhow.

Once she had put on the jacket, Bai Jue stepped on the gas, and the silver sports car took off, leaving a trail of dust.

After dropping Zhan Mingyan off at the hotel, Bai Jue finally returned to his own place.

As soon as he parked the car, a familiar figure appeared at the door.

He opened the car door and got out, moving seamlessly.

“Black Jack, glad to see you finally made it.”

He hopped up the steps in two to three steps, “Hurry up and take away your troublesome spirit.”

Black Jack glanced at him, “What’s the password?”

“If you don’t know the password, why don’t you call Jian Luo and have him come down and open the door.” Bai Jue was speechless, so he’d been standing there because he didn’t know the password.

“Jian Luo is asleep.” Black Jack glanced at him as if he were an idiot, saying coldly.

“…”

Bai Jue was outraged, were these two trying to torment him on purpose?

“Bro, couldn’t you be a little more considerate?”

Black Jack, “Open the door quickly.”

He really needs to teach that runaway kitten a lesson. He’s growing bolder by the day, daring to abandon him and run away.

Bai Jue glared at him, reached out to press the password, and the door “dinged” open.

Black Jack pushed open the door and strode in, leaving Bai Jue alone, disheveled in the wind.

What kind of people are these?

After asking Bai Jue for the location of his bedroom, Black Jack headed straight upstairs.

The bedroom door was ajar. As he gently pushed, the door opened.

Suddenly, the person on the bed moved and then sat up.

“Bai Jue, what are you coming back for?” Because he had just woken up, his voice was a bit hoarse.

“Can’t you let people sleep?”

“Luo Xiaobai, seems like you had a good sleep!” Black Jack crossed his arms and said with a half-smile half-smirk.

Jian Luo suddenly snapped awake, his drowsiness disappearing instantly.

“You, how did you get here?”

Black Jack moved towards him, and Jian Luo quickly retreated under the covers.

“Luo Xiaobai, what are you hiding for, I’m not going to eat you.”
