Chapter 720: 706, Trick Plan (2)_1 Chapter 720: 706, Trick Plan (2)_1 “No, no, Mom, please don’t get the wrong idea,” Han Yue hastily interrupted, anticipating her next words.
Oh dear, his father’s still in the room. Please quit causing a scene.
“Quan Mingxuan, I’m giving you one last chance. Are you together with Han Yue or not?” Quan Che suppressed his anger, appearing like a tiger on the verge of blowing up.
Quan Mingxuan felt like crying.
“No, we aren’t! You can ask Jingwu and Jian Qing if you don’t believe me.”
At those words, Quan Che turned to look at Jian Qing. Quan Mingxuan clasped his hands together, pleading to them.
“Uncle, we’re not too sure about their affair either,” Quan Jingwu quickly glanced at Mingxuan before answering.
A snap.
The sound of a heart shattering.
Quan Mingxuan: “…”
Quan Jingwu, have you forgotten your younger brother with whom you once shared a bed?
Meanwhile, Han Yue was having a hard time convincing Liu Shi over the phone.
“Han Yue, come home with Axuan tonight and explain this in person,” she sternly said before ending the call.
With a frown, Han Yue looked at Quan Mingxuan with his phone still in his hand.
Both were now speechless.
They were both in trouble.
“Quan Mingxuan, did you hear her? We have to return home tonight,” Han Yue announced.
Upon hearing this, Quan Mingxuan refused without any hesitation.
“I’m not going. You go by yourself,” he said.
He still had to deal with his mess here, he didn’t have the time to worry about him.
“No choice, we have to go now,” Quan Che firmly grabbed his collar, dragging him out of the room.
With only one son, he wanted to be a grandfather. Such matters should not be taken lightly.
If he didn’t get it resolved today, sleep wouldn’t be on his agenda.
“Dad, let me go first,” Quan Mingxuan pleaded, gripping the door handle and refusing to move.
If he was dragged like that, how could he ever show his face in Beijing again? He had his reputation to maintain after all.
“Hurry up. Sort this out today, it’s your mother’s birthday. If you upset her, I will beat you up,” Quan Che released his collar and looked at Han Yue, ordering him coldly, “You’re coming too.”
“Uncle, I…” Han Yue, unwilling to face his mother’s tirade back home, tried to refuse nicely.
“No more excuses. If you don’t come, I’ll call your father,” Quan Che threatened him calmly.
Han Yue: “I’ll go. We’ll go together.”
If his father came, he would probably be the one tied up and brought home.
Quan Che snorted coldly, “Hurry up.”
Resigned, Han Yue followed. As he walked past Quan Mingxuan, he placed an arm over his shoulder, grabbing his neck in a chokehold.
“It’s all your fault that even I am implicated,” he grumbled.
Quan Mingxuan instantly retaliated with a punch, “It’s you who got me into this mess.”
“What are you doing?” Quan Che turned around to catch their “intimate” moment and frowned.
“Let go, now.”
Han Yue immediately released his grip. Both of them followed obediently behind Quan Che’s back.
“Hahaha!”
Jian Qing burst into laughter at their sad departures.
Should she follow them to watch the show?
“Xiaojing, do you think Axuan and Ayue will get a beating?” she asked.
Quan Jingwu, wrapping an arm around her, lightly replied, “They’re used to it. A little beatdown is no big deal for them.”
Smiling at him, Jian Qing remarked, “Looks like having a brother like you is something they should cry about.”
Quan Jingwu raised an eyebrow in response.
“Are we still having dinner?” Jian Qing asked.
Quan Jingwu nodded, taking her hand and leading her inside.
“What do you want to eat?”
“I’ll eat whatever you order.” She was always at ease with Jingwu’s choices; he knew her tastes perfectly.
Quan Jingwu pulled out the chair for her. As she sat down, her phone rang.
“Pick it up for me,” Quan Jingwu handed her his phone while he browsed the menu.
Jian Qing realized it was Shen Hao’s call.
Without any hesitation, she answered, “Shen Hao, what’s up?”
On the other end, Shen Hao paused upon hearing Jian Qing’s voice before quickly saying, “Madam, Chu Ruohan has been rescued.”
Her playful demeanor faded, “What happened?”
Wasn’t Chu Ruohan supposed to be in the mental hospital? How could someone have rescued her?
“A fire broke out at the mental hospital, someone used the chaos to switch a corpse with Chu Ruohan,” Shen Hao reported.
“On top of that, all the surveillance equipment at the hospital was destroyed and the nurse assigned to Chu Ruohan has disappeared,” he added.
Jian Qing’s lips shaped into a thin line as a cold glimmer appeared in her eyes, “Any leads on the cause of the fire?”
Humph, body switch tactic.
Shen Hao replied, “The official cause is due to a patient accidentally setting fire to the curtain with a lighter. I have already sent someone to track Chu Ruohan.”
“And her condition in the mental hospital?” she asked, her eyes unreadable.
Shen Hao: “She was emotionally unstable with severe mental disorder, also diagnosed with explosive disorder. She can’t control her emotions.”
“I see, don’t spend more resources on this,” she instructed, a cold smirk on her face.
If someone could rescue Chu Ruohan from under Shen Hao’s watch, it could only be Chu Yihen.
After hanging up the call, Quan Jingwu had finished ordering food.
He put down the menu and sat beside her, “What’s wrong?”
“Chu Ruohan has been rescued,” Jian Qing casually shared.
Quan Jingwu’s eyes darkened, “Chu Yihen!”
Jian Qing lightly laughed. They both agreed on this.
“Probably him, impressive that he managed to wait this long before making a move,” she commented sarcastically.
Quan Jingwu took her hand, speaking in a frigid voice, “I will have her captured.”
“No need for that. Knowing Yihen, he would’ve expected us to figure out he was behind this. He should come to us soon,” she replied calmly.
Quan Jingwu gazed down at her, “So, we let her get away with it?”
Chu Ruohan dared to harm his wife, it was an act of mercy to make her lose her sanity.
“Of course not,” Jian Qing replied with a mysterious smile.
“No matter where she’s hiding, I will find her.”
If she behaved, Jian Qing might consider giving her a break. However, if she and Chu Yihen caused more trouble, she wouldn’t hold back.
Quan Jingwu: “Leave the dangerous tasks to me. Don’t take unnecessary risks.”
“Understood, my King,” she replied, flashing a mischievous smile.
Quan Jingwu grazed her nose with his finger, a grin on his face, “You!”
They shared a laugh and continued their peaceful dinner while Quan Mingxuan and Han Yue faced their impending doom.
