Chapter 669 - 669 655 Sending Umbrella (3)_1
Chapter 669: 655, Sending Umbrella (3)_1 Chapter 669: 655, Sending Umbrella (3)_1 Black Jack ignored the looks from the servants around him and pulled Jian Luo back to their bedroom.
Jian Luo was pushed inside, barely had he balanced himself when he heard the slamming of the door.
“Bang–”
A strong gust of wind rushed at him and within a blink of an eye, the man was already standing in front of him. Jian Luo had a feeling things were about to go downhill.
Perhaps his prank had gone too far this time.
Black Jack pulled him roughly towards the bed. The lightning-fast movements left Jian Luo no time to react.
“Black Jack, listen to me.” Jian Luo looked up to see the rage flashing in his eyes, and hurriedly tried to explain.
Black Jack was livid over his backtracking on going to get their marriage certificate, and was in no mood to listen, “Jian Luo, so you trust her more than me, huh?”
“No, just listen to me explain.”
Damn it.
Why did this man not take a joke?
“So are you going to get the certificate or not?” Black Jack pressed.
Jian Luo was stunned for a while. The hesitation observed by Black Jack within those few seconds sealed his fate.
Without another word, Black Jack started to undress him forcefully.
Tearing at his clothes like a pro, Jian Luo was left shocked and shivering from how quickly his upper body was laid bare.
Black Jack had effectively turned his clothes into rags in seconds. He had finally bitten more than he could chew.
“Black Jack!”
He tried to catch his hand, but Black Jack shook him off. His hands were pinned above his head.
“Luo Xiaobai, if you won’t go get that certificate, I’ll make sure you’re compelled to!”
How dare he go back on his word. He deserved to be disciplined.
Jian Luo was seething and helpless under the man.
“I…”
“Hmm–”
Before he could finish speaking, he was silenced by a chilly, dominating kiss that carried an element of punishment.
Perhaps because he was extremely angry, Black Jack didn’t give him an opportunity to speak, showing no mercy, and seemed intent on making Jian Luo submit completely.
After what seemed like an eternity, Jian Luo was left drained on the bed, without even the strength to speak. His long, narrow eyes were slightly red.
Suddenly, feeling a movement on his back, Jian Luo croaked out in a raspy voice, “Stop, Black Jack, you lunatic. Fine, I’ll go get the certificate, no more changing my mind, okay?”
Another round would certainly be the end of him.
“Say it again.” Black Jack leaned in closer, lightly biting his ear, he whispered in a deep voice.
Jian Luo slightly shivered and buried his head into the pillow, acquiescing, “I won’t change my mind. I’ll get the certificate.”
He swore never to tease him like this again.
It really took a toll on him!
Black Jack smiled in satisfaction, turned him around, and pulled him into his arms. His slender fingers gently pushed away the damp hair on Jian Luo’s forehead.
“You should have obeyed from the beginning.”
Jian Luo was very upset, pushed him away, and wrapped himself in the quilt.
“Go away.”
“What exactly did Lis tell you?” Having finished what he wanted to do, Black Jack began to address the past events.
Jian Luo tried to regain his breath, replied irritably, “She didn’t say much, just some of the things you did behind my back when we were in school.”
“What?” Black Jack leaned on his side, resting his head on one hand, looking at him in confusion.
“She said you intimidated anyone who sent me love letters or chocolates.” Jian Luo retorted in frustration, “No wonder I stopped getting chocolates at school. So you were the one behind it.”
Hearing this, Black Jack let out a satisfied smirk, “So what? The only chocolate you need is the one I give you.”
Who could blame him for putting those people in their place because they just wouldn’t leave Jian Luo alone.
“I wish I hadn’t gone to the same school as you. I lost so many admirers.” Jian Luo purposely said it to irritate him.
“Luo Xiaobai, it seems you haven’t learnt your lesson.” Black Jack rolled over so that he was lying on top of him.
Jian Luo threatened him firmly, “If you’re going to continue this, I really won’t go get that certificate.”
Looking at the marks on his neck, Black Jack hesitated to continue tormenting him. He was just scaring him.
“I’ll let you go this time, but if you ever lie to me again, hmph.”
After he finished speaking, he turned over and pulled Jian Luo closer to him.
“Let’s sleep a bit. As soon as we wake up, we’ll go get the certificate.”
Jian Luo grimaced and let out a yawn.
Perhaps because of the harsh punishment, he soon fell asleep, his consciousness in a daze.
…
The sky was filled with thin grey clouds, with a light drizzle coming down.
Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing had just returned from the orchard. The once clear weather quickly turned dark and rainy, not giving them any time to prepare.
“Xiaojing, you’re drenched.” Both of them took shelter from the rain in a corridor. Jian Qing looked up at Quan Jingwu’s damp hair, furrowing his eyebrows.
All the way back, he practically carried her home. His coat had kept her warm, while he himself got wet.
She reached up to wipe the rain off his face, her eyes filled with concern, “Aren’t you a bit stupid? Why did you give me your coat?”
“It’s no big deal, I can handle getting wet.” Quan Jingwu took her hand and exhaled on it to warm her up.
“I wonder when it’s going to stop raining.” Jian Qing leaned into him and stared at the light rain, sounding resigned.
They still had quite a long way to go.
Quan Jingwu said, “Let’s wait a bit more. I’ve asked Yi Kai to bring an umbrella.”
“Hmm.”
Suddenly the sound of a wheelchair wheel rolling softly diverted their attention.
Jian Qing and Quan Jingwu looked up, and when their sight fell on the person sitting in the wheelchair, they exchanged a glance, a hint of unease in their eyes.
The stranger was wearing a white shirt and black trousers, his face handsome. Even though he was in a wheelchair, he exuded an aura of authority, indicating that he was no ordinary person.
A’er was pushing the wheelchair and stopped when they were still a few steps away from Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing.
Shen Yan looked at Quan Jingwu and his gaze fell on Jian Qing. This was the first time he got to see her so closely; she looked a lot like her.
He asked in a gentle voice, “Are you seeking shelter from the rain?”
“Who are you?” Quan Jingwu asked, his eyes deep with suspicion.
“My surname is Shen. I am also a guest invited by the royal family of R country. I happened to pass by and saw you two trying to escape the rain, so I decided to offer my umbrella.” Without giving away any hint of nervousness, Shen Yan calmly replied.
“A’er, give them the umbrella.”
A’er nodded respectfully and offered Quan Jingwu the umbrella.
“No need. We have someone coming to pick us up. Thanks for your kindness, but I think you two might need the umbrella yourself.” Jian Qing, her eyes calm, watched the sudden appearance of these two people. She declined the offer.
There was always a catch when someone offered something for nothing.
Moreover, if they handed their umbrella over to her, wouldn’t the two of them be rained on?
Shen Yan seemed unperturbed by her rejection, and smiled faintly, “You two make a perfect pair!”
After that, Shen Yan gestured, and A’er took the hint and pushed him away in the wheelchair.
