Walter steadied his body and saw Khan come running over. There was panic written across his face, “Stop, Khan, if you come any closer, I’ll throw her down.”

Saying this, he dragged Xiya and Daisy towards the river.

“Calm down, I won’t get any closer.” Khan grounded to a halt, saying hurriedly.

Waves of abdominal pain washed over her. Xiya’s face turned deathly pale. She bent over, biting her lip hard.

“Let me go.”

Her husky voice, filled with suppressed suffering.

The pounding rain drowned out her voice. Walter gripped her tighter, fearing to lose his powerful bargaining chip.

“Bai Jue, something seems wrong with Xiya.” Jian Luo wiped the rain off his face, worry creasing his brows.

Bai Jue’s face grew serious, he lowered his voice so Khan wouldn’t hear him, “She must be having contractions.”

“That man just knocked into her.” Black Jack, who had been quiet for a while, suddenly spoke out.

Walter had just collided with Xiya, hitting her stomach directly. It was possible that the impact had induced contractions.

“What?” Jian Luo reacted with shock.

The rapid water splashed against Daisy’s face. The rope binding her hands had long been loosened under the water. The knot Walter tied was loose, not a dead knot, she easily shook it off.
