Chapter 1056: 1041. Locke Side Story (10) Chapter 1056: 1041. Locke Side Story (10) Black Jack gave him one word, “Scram.”

Soon, the bell for class rang.

Bai Jue looked at Jian Luo, who still had no reaction, and the corner of his lips quivered; he was sleeping like a dead pig.

“Black Jack, what should we do?”

Black Jack answered, “He’s got grumpiness when he wakes up, dare to do it yourself if you will.”

Hearing this, Bai Jue instantly clamped up.

No, he still wanted to live for a few more years.

The German teacher was a middle-aged man named Wilson, who was so serious that Bai Jue always called him an old antique.

As soon as he entered, Wilson didn’t waste a second and started the class directly.

He stood on the podium, talking incessantly, while the students below listened until their heads were spinning.

Suddenly, he spotted Jian Luo who was asleep below, and his face darkened, looking even more stern, “Let’s have Student Jian Luo answer this question.”

Even when his name was called, Jian Luo still had no response.

Now, everyone’s eyes were on Jian Luo, the person who dared to sleep in the old antique’s class.

Black Jack looked up at the teacher and said flatly, “Teacher, he’s not feeling well.”

“Not feeling well?” Wilson clearly didn’t believe it, and when he stepped down from the podium to see Jian Luo’s rosy complexion, he was even more skeptical of Black Jack’s words.

He turned his head to look at Black Jack, met the chill in his eyes, stiffened, and then said sheepishly, “Well, if you’re not feeling well, go to the infirmary to have a look after class.”

“Okay, thank you for your concern, teacher,” said Black Jack politely.

This sleep was particularly comfortable for Jian Luo.

When he woke up, almost everyone had left the classroom.

He sat up, his jacket slipping off, and Black Jack reached out to catch it, then started packing his backpack for him, “Stop looking, class is already over.”

“What?” Jian Luo was astonished, “Why didn’t you guys wake me up?”

“You were sleeping like you were comatose, we didn’t dare to wake you. What if your morning grumpiness freaked us out? We’re just babies and can’t handle being scared by you,” said Bai Jue, covering his face, giggling without showing his teeth.

Jian Luo gave him a look, “Speak human.”

Bai Jue grinned and said, “This is human speak. The old antique came all the way to your face, yet you still slept on, that’s really something.”

Jian Luo scratched his still groggy head and looked up at the sky wordlessly.

Now, would the old antique hold a grudge against him and deliberately give out a very difficult test later on?

“Let’s go, let’s head back,” said Black Jack, picking up his backpack and slinging it over his shoulder as well.

Feeling embarrassed by his frequent help with the backpack, Jian Luo said, “Black Jack, I can carry the backpack myself.”

“Quit the chatter, if we’re any later the sun will have set,” Black Jack retorted, and with Jian Luo’s backpack on his back, he took the lead and walked out.

Bai Jue hooked his arm around Jian Luo’s neck, “Why don’t you carry my backpack too?”

“Dream on,” retorted Jian Luo, shaking off Bai Jue’s hand and running out to catch up with Black Jack.

Time flies, the friendship of these young boys and girls remained as innocent as ever; what changed was that the four of them had grown even closer. They could stay up all night secretly playing games, run rampant together, climb mountains before dawn, and accompany each other when they were sad or distressed.

The sixteen-year-old youth had already become more handsome and mature. His cold aura kept people at bay, but it was only in front of that confused young man that he would show the warmth hidden deep within him.

In the last semester of high school, Black Jack and Bai Jue had already picked out their universities. The amount of coursework needed for the family business gradually increased, sometimes even following along to company meetings for observation, learning various management courses until the two of them were so busy they scarcely went to school.

As for Jian Luo, with Jian Qing taking on the heavy responsibilities of the Jian family, he continued his steady life in high school. At thirteen, he skipped two grades and went straight to high school.

Rushing back from Y Country, Black Jack arrived at the Sanctuary only to run into someone handing Jian Luo a love letter.

His eyes darkened, and he knocked on the classroom door.

“Jian Luo!”

The youth was in the midst of his voice changing, and his slightly husky voice was tingling to the ears.

Jian Luo, troubled by how to reject the love letter, looked up to see the person at the door. His face lit up with joy, and he grabbed his bag and got up to go over.

In passing, he glanced at the girl holding the love letter, “Sorry, you better take this back, goodbye.”

The girl holding the love letter watched their retreating figures, her young heart shattering into pieces.

“Where’s Bai Jue?” Jian Luo asked curiously, noticing it was only him, “Didn’t he come back with you?”

Black Jack took his bag, “He’s coming back tomorrow.”

“Did you come back for something?” Jian Luo got into the car, buckling his seatbelt as he spoke.

Black Jack closed the car door, “No.”

On the way, most of the conversation was from Jian Luo, with Black Jack only occasionally replying a few words.

“Black Jack, stop the car.”

Black Jack steered the car to a stop at the roadside, “What’s up?”

“Out of chocolate.” Jian Luo said.

“Wait here, I’ll go buy some.” Black Jack stopped him, got out of the car, and headed off.

Jian Luo watched him enter the Chocolate Shop and took out his game console to play.

Before long, Black Jack was back with the chocolate.

“Here.”

Jian Luo happily took it, unwrapping a piece of chocolate and popping it into his mouth.

“Don’t eat too much, or you won’t have room for dinner later.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know,” Jian Luo responded nonchalantly.

The two returned to the Manor, just as Jian Qing had also come back from headquarters.

“Well, well, how come you two are back together?”

Jian Luo slouched on the couch, “Is that so strange?”

Jian Qing chuckled lightly, her gaze falling on Black Jack, “Decided on YA University?”

YA University was M Country’s finest noble university, but Y Country also had its comparable noble universities. Yet he chose to continue his studies in M Country, which was indeed somewhat odd, considering that in the future he would take on the burden of leading the Sophallo family; studying in Y Country would make it more convenient for him to learn how to take over Sophallo family matters.

Black Jack hummed an affirmation.

“Since you’re back, you can take care of Luoluo’s German for the next few days.” Jian Qing was about to head upstairs when she suddenly turned around to say.

Her own brother’s German was truly nothing to boast about.

Black Jack nodded, then reached for Jian Luo’s bag, rummaging through it. As expected, there was a failing German test inside.

Seeing all the red crosses marking the test paper, Black Jack’s lips twitched, “Xiaobai, you failed again.”

The guy wasn’t lacking in intelligence, so why did he turn into a dummy every time he faced German?

“It’s not my fault, the old fossil made the test way too weird this time.” Jian Luo said sheepishly while eating his ice cream.

“No more for you, back to your room to cram,” Black Jack snatched the ice cream from him, put it on the table, and hauled him upstairs by one hand.
