Chapter 1026: 1011, Jue and Zhan’s Couple Extra (10) Chapter 1026: 1011, Jue and Zhan’s Couple Extra (10) “Don’t worry, I will definitely make it back,” Bai Jue stretched his arm around her, promised.

After staying by the sea for a while, until the afterglow faded, Bai Jue took Zhan Mingyan for dinner, and then went straight to the airport after seeing her off.

Before boarding, Jian Luo gave him a call.

“Bai Jue, if you need help, just say it,” came the gentle voice, tinged with concern and worry.

Bai Jue curled his lips into a smile, “Don’t worry, those cockroaches are a piece of cake.”

“Call me when you’re done with things, it’s been a long time since we all had a drink together,” Jian Luo said.

“Have a drink? Can you handle it?” Bai Jue doubted, “Don’t go crazy when you’re drunk, I can’t stand your tantrums.”

Jian Luo was so angry he could spit blood, “Damn it, can’t talk to you, hanging up.”

Bai Jue powered off the phone, a coldness flashing in his eyes.

They had forced his hand this time.

Once on the plane, Bai Jue fell asleep straight away.

M Country

In the quiet outskirts under the faint moonlight, a European-style villa stood out magnificently, and from a distance, one could still make out the red rose garden next to it.

Deep into the night, the sounds of a man and woman arguing were barely audible.

“He’s your son, how could he not listen to you? I’m telling you, no matter what, you have to make him come treat my father. Otherwise, don’t even think about getting a penny of the inheritance from me,” the man in the living room said with a steely face, his slender eyes flashing with viciousness. This man was Bai Jue’s stepfather – Jason.

The woman standing opposite him had her face covered in tears, and under the heavy makeup, she bore a resemblance to Bai Jue. Her cheek was swollen with a stark palm print, and the blood at the corner of her mouth had dried, looking somewhat shocking.

She collapsed onto the sofa, her clenched fists revealing her current anger. This was Bai Jue’s biological mother, Fang Xue.

“What happened? It’s so loud outside that the arguing can be heard from inside,” a young man appeared at the door and strode in.

He scanned the living room and, seeing the woman with a swollen face on the sofa, hurried over, “Mom, what happened to you?”

“Bader!” When Fang Xue saw her own son, she immediately clung to him as if finding support.

Bader looked at Jason with a hint of fear, “Father, even if mom did something wrong, you shouldn’t hit her like this.”

“Fang Xue, let me tell you, if your darling son doesn’t come, we are getting a divorce,” Jason ignored him and threatened her coldly with a menacing look.

“Jason, you promised to be with me for life, how can you go back on your word? I have already pleaded with Bai Jue, but he won’t come. What can I do?” Hearing the word divorce, Fang Xue panicked and quickly stood up, grabbing his hand.

“What does that have to do with me,” Jason sneered cruelly, pushing her away, “I only know if Bai Jue doesn’t come, and my father can’t be saved, then you can’t expect to stay in this house.”

To the side, a hint of jealousy flickered through Bader’s eyes at the mention of Bai Jue’s name.

“I’ll contact him again tomorrow. Jason, you have to give me time. For the sake of you and him, I abandoned Bai Jue. How could he forgive me so suddenly? I will try my best to persuade him,” Fang Xue said.

Jason replied, “Two days, if I don’t see Bai Jue in two days, then don’t blame me for not considering the love between husband and wife.”

Fang Xue stood there stunned, feeling the palm print on her face still burning painfully.

Bai Jue, I can’t let you destroy the happiness I’ve finally obtained. I can’t!

In the red sports car, a pair of ink-black eyes stared at the villa not far away, the depths of those eyes filled with bone-chilling coldness.

Bai Jue lifted the corner of his lips, his fingertips picking up the sunglasses beside him and lazily placing them on his straight nose bridge, his long legs stepping out first.

“Mom, is the phone still not getting through?” Bader observed Fang Xue repeatedly redialing the phone, his eyes darkening.

Fang Xue put down her phone, massaged the bridge of her nose, and hummed an acknowledgment.

“Mom, your face is still very red; you should apply some ice to it for a while longer.” The girl in a white dress came out of the kitchen, still holding an ice pack.

“Lena, I’m grateful to have you with me.” Fang Xue took the ice pack and felt a slight comfort at the bottom of her heart as she looked at her children.

Footsteps echoed from the staircase, and the three people looked up to see Jason descending with a stern face.

“Father!” Bader and Lena called out in unison.

“Jason, how is father doing?” Fang Xue asked.

Jason snorted coldly and did not respond to her.

At that moment, there was a knock at the door.

“I’ll get it.” Lena volunteered to open the door, eager to escape the awkward atmosphere.

“Who are you?”

Seeing the person standing at the door, a glint flashed in Lena’s eyes.

“Bai Jue?” Fang Xue’s uncertain voice came through.

Bai Jue pushed open the door, walked past Lena, and entered with a composed ease, as if this was his territory.

“I must have arrived at just the right time, haven’t I? Did I miss any good show?” Bai Jue’s gaze swept over Fang Xue’s swollen face, a trace of mockery flitting through his eyes.

“Bai Jue!” Fang Xue’s face lit up with delight, and she quickly approached him.

“Stop!”

Bai Jue took off his sunglasses and sat down on the couch, “We’re not close, and I don’t like strangers getting too near me.”

“Bai Jue, you…” Fang Xue looked at him with eyes glittering with sorrow, hardly believing that such words could come from him.

Bai Jue crossed his legs and looked at her sharply, “Spare me the sob story. I’m not in the mood to watch it, nor do I have the time,”

“Brother Bai Jue, I knew you wouldn’t be so heartless. You’ve come to treat my grandfather, haven’t you?” Lena ran over excitedly, her wavy hair gently bouncing as she moved.

In the depths of her heart lay a little secret: ever since she first saw him at sixteen, she had fallen hopelessly in love with him—even if he was her half-brother; she liked him a lot.

Years had passed, and he was still as handsome as ever.

“Who’s your brother? Don’t claim relatives out of nowhere during broad daylight,” Bai Jue said bluntly, toying with his expensive sunglasses with his fingertips.

“I’m here only to give a wake-up call to certain people, to stop them from daydreaming all day long, from thinking they’re so important, and to not project their wishes onto me.”

Fang Xue stiffened, “Bai Jue, what do you mean by that?”

“What do I mean? Can’t you tell?” Bai Jue lifted his eyelids, a bone-chilling coldness shooting from his eyes.

“Who gave you the audacity to go to my grandfather and father’s graves, who allowed you to disturb their peace?”

She really thought that just because she gave birth to him, she could act recklessly.

It was utterly laughable.

“Bai Jue, I didn’t, I just wanted to see them.” Fang Xue’s face faltered as she faced Bai Jue’s rebuke, revealing a touch of grievance, “Bai Jue, I know I was wrong about what happened in the past. Can’t you give me a chance to make amends?”
