MMORPG: War God, You are Invincible Again
Chapter 452 - 206 Enlightenment

Chapter 452: Chapter 206 Enlightenment

The Power of God Dao Yi consists of nine trials, the fewest among the Thirteen Tumultuous Paths, yet the challenge is no less difficult than other divine pathways, and it boasts the lowest pass rate. The reason is simple: the training of the physique and the enhancement of pure strength attributes are exceedingly difficult, with few complete methods outside the Temple of Power throughout the entire Star Sea. In fact, Lu Hong had never received any specific methods for strength attribute training. It was purely the Body Refining enhancement by the descended Heavenly God that bolstered him, and he had thought himself unparalleled in the Star Sea in terms of strength. It was only after encountering higher levels that he realized how laughable his notion was. Previously, Bo Heng had found the Lie Shi Trio to confront him, who had trained in the Path of Power.

The nine stages of strength, the first named Mountain Moving. All who enter this divine path are transported outside the first stage, with a simple method of passage: break through the ultimate peak and the mountains.

Of course, during the challenge, the arrays of the Path of Power suppress Magic Power, not allowing the use of anything beyond the pinnacle of the First Transition.

Lu Hong guessed it was because the Path of Power couldn’t afford too many magic-suppressing stones, and the research on the arrays was not yet perfected, which is why they couldn’t completely shield Magic Power and rank.

"Sister, shall we attempt the challenge?" Seeing many Trialists confidently entering the stage, Auli whispered.

"No rush. I’ll first find a quiet place to teach you the cultivation methods." Lu Hong took Auli’s hand and, instead of proceeding to the first stage, dove into the Sea of Chaotic Rocks behind them.

To ensure they weren’t discovered, Lu Hong carried Auli and ran for a good part of the day. After confirming no one was following, he put Auli down and said, "Don’t be scared of anything that happens, okay?"

"Okay, I’ll listen to you."

Seeing Auli nod, Lu Hong flicked his Space Ring, releasing two intertwined souls.

The Holy King was pulling the hair of the Slaughter Demon Armor’s Artifact Spirit, while the Artifact Spirit’s fingers were stuffed up the other’s nostrils.

"Hey hey, we’re supposed to be dignitaries here, stop fooling around!" Lu Hong scolded, "It’s been several days, how have you not resolved who won?"

"I clearly won, this dumb thing just won’t admit it!" the Holy King shouted first, berating the other’s shamelessness.

"You’re lying!" The Artifact Spirit snapped, "You clearly couldn’t beat me; you played dirty."

"Enough!" Lu Hong barked, "Both of you, let go!"

"Why should I?! Who the hell are you!" The Artifact Spirit, unaccustomed to Lu Hong’s rebuke, spoke disrespectfully.

Seeing this, the Holy King stirred the pot from the side, "Boss, he’s disrespecting you. Teach him a lesson! Get him!"

Lu Hong narrowed his eyes and pulled out the Slaughter Demon Armor from his Space Ring, gripping a gray-white bead on it. "If I detach this, do you think you’ll keep on sleeping?"

The Artifact Spirit’s expression changed. "No, can’t we discuss this nicely? Can’t you show me some respect? I was once in direct conversation with the War God, don’t I, a noble Artifact Spirit like me, deserve your deep bows and utmost respect? You’re a warrior too, aren’t you? Don’t you acknowledge your ancestor?"

"You must be drunk?" Before Lu Hong could respond, the Holy King interjected, "Do you know who my boss is? He is the Blood Lord, a person officially ordained by the Heavenly God. It’s an honor for you to follow him!"

The Artifact Spirit blinked, shocked. "You’re the Blood Lord?!"

"Yes."

After Lu Hong personally confirmed, the Artifact Spirit finally jumped down from beneath the Holy King, the Power of Soul condensing in its eyes as it looked towards Lu Hong.

Then it saw four hidden blood-red characters floating above Lu Hong’s head.

"Holy shit, it’s true!" quivered the Artifact Spirit. "Why didn’t you say so sooner! The War God told me when he stripped my soul that my next master would be the Blood Lord. I thought you weren’t him and was hoping you’d help me find him."

"Now you know," Lu Hong said, eyeing the not-very-tall humanoid soul before him, his mind unavoidably breeding some doubts about the War God. Having received and awakened the Slaughter Demon Armor seemed orchestrated; could it be that the vanished War God still existed and walked the earth in mortal guise?

"Now that I know, I know." The Artifact Spirit pursed its lips. "Anyway, I’m severely damaged, to use me, you’ll need to repair me first."

"And how do I repair you?"

"It’s too soon for that. Wait until you reach the Third Transition and can truly control your title, then we’ll talk," suggested the Artifact Spirit, glancing at the Holy King beside him. "You should be looking for him, right? Let me stay in the ring. I won’t cause any trouble for you."

After taking back the Artifact Spirit and Slaughter Demon Armor, Lu Hong said to Auli, "Sorry for the spectacle."

"Big brother, what are those things?" Auli had never seen souls before and was a bit frightened, but to avoid disturbing Lu Hong, she had forcefully held back her emotions, only releasing them now, her voice trembling.

Girls are naturally scared of ghosts and such things, Lu Hong understood and gently patted Auli’s head, giving the Holy King a look.

The Holy King got the hint and tried hard to keep his feet on the ground to appear more human-like.

"Umm, boss, if you don’t throw out the sword, I might be taken back by it." The Holy King felt a faint fluctuation from the bronze giant sword and hurriedly tied it to his back.

After settling this, the Holy King activated the Holy Light and tried to keep its power gentle as he allowed it to seep toward Auli.

When the power of the Holy Light touched Auli’s skin, her timid gaze gradually turned curious; as the Holy Light completely enveloped her, the little girl comfortably whimpered, but then felt it inappropriate and covered her mouth.

Seeing her various reactions, the Holy King smiled slightly, "How is it? Little girl, do you feel it?"

Auli nodded, "Yes, is this the Holy Light? It feels so warm!"

"Yes, you have a natural affinity for it. You will become a genius in cultivating the Holy Light," the Holy King extended his hand. "I am the Holy King, founder and ruler of the Holy Court; you will become my disciple, devote yourself to the light, and fulfill your lifelong wish."

Auli did not immediately accept the Holy King’s invitation but instead asked seriously, "Holy King grandfather, are you very powerful?"

"Uh..." the Holy King was startled.

Lu Hong chuckled, "When he was alive, he was decent, probably enough to defeat your enemies. Now, well, he is just a soul who likes to brag, but still possesses some real skills. Accept it, he’ll give you the best guidance."

"I understand." After receiving Lu Hong’s affirmation, Auli stepped forward and knelt crisply in front of the Holy King, "Disciple Auli Sakaria, greets Master!"

"Ah! My good disciple, the ground is dirty, get up, get up quickly," the Holy King, using the power of the Holy Light, helped Auli up.

Lu Hong spoke up, "Now that you’ve taken her as a disciple, how do you plan on transferring her class? Are you going to turn her into a Priest or a Knight?" Both careers followed the Holy Light but chose different paths, which would completely alter her development route.

"Neither," the Holy King shook his head, "I want her to be an uncommon class—the Seeker of the Holy Light!"

"Seeker?" Lu Hong was hearing about this profession for the first time. "Is it powerful?"

"Nonsense," the Holy King said discontentedly. "This is an extremely rare profession. Unlike the Knight and Priest, it is the only one whose all professional skills from the First to Third Transition are offensive and powerful. Only I mastered this career path."

Lu Hong nodded, accepting the Holy King’s arrangement for Auli. He then asked, "What are the requirements for the transition? Do I need to find her a Holy Temple?"

"No need," the Holy King said. "I am a Divine Envoy who has met the Great Bright Heavenly God; wherever I am is a Holy Temple."

"Whoa, that’s some grand boasting!" Lu Hong laughed heartily, turning to Auli, "Girl, let’s just quietly watch his performance. If he can’t make your transition happen today, we’ll take back what we just said, and I will find you another master."

"Yes, I will listen to big brother." Auli appeared to see through Lu Hong’s reverse psychology, nodding solemnly.

"Hey, don’t be like that. Speak nicely. I don’t have a physical body; it’s normal if the search fails. Give me a few more chances," the Holy King, sensing he might have overpromised, quickly started to smooth things over.

"No way," Lu Hong refused, "You must hurry because I feel the Assassin from the Power Temple is coming."

"Ah? Those villains are coming for big brother?"

"Yes, Holy King, do you need my help?" Lu Hong turned his head back. Although he saw nothing, his Magic Power sense was never wrong—there was a powerhouse approaching.

"No need," the Holy King also realized the issue, "You go deal with the enemy; I will handle her transition."

Lu Hong summoned the Blood Holy Sword, "If I lose, I will send you a signal. Take Auli and escape, leave the path of Canglan, and hide in Mountain Gate City."

With that, Lu Hong stamped his foot, transforming into a streak of airflow, rushing towards the distance.

Auli shouted from behind, "Big brother, be very careful! We’ll wait for your return!"
