Chapter 445: Chapter 199: The True Dragon Appears in the World

Ten days had passed since Xie’an and Lu Hong left the Dragon Pond plane. After joining the military forces of the Optimal Guest plane, the two accepted an invitation from Lord Extreme Star and temporarily stationed their troops on the Ophiuchus plane.

The Ophiuchus was an inconspicuous small plane under the empire’s command. In earlier years, it had been granted to an earl as a fief. Unfortunately, due to poor management, the earl played his family name into demotion, even mortgaging the earl’s mansion— it was likely that the present earl was begging somewhere.

Although the earl had declined, Konstantin did not reclaim control over Ophiuchus. Probably, he looked down on it or maybe he did not want to deal with the local snake of the Ophiuchus plane, Dark God Temple. Thus, aside from the Dark God Temple, the plane was filled with mixed elements, with numerous small forces standing tall here, caught in unceasing annual conflicts.

For the purpose of controlling this plane, Dark God Temple strictly controlled these small forces. As soon as any of them showed a trend of rising to dominance, without a word, about thirty Third Transition assassins would make a round—one killed, one buried.

Therefore, when Xie’an’s hundreds of thousands of troops marched mightily into Ophiuchus, those small forces were basically scared witless, each of them bringing out their treasured possessions from the bottom of their chests to curry favor with the other side.

Xie’an accepted everything, distributing suitable Magic items and precious Magic Potions to his brothers, while he himself kept a broken dagger.

"Hey, this thing is somewhat interesting. Why don’t you keep it?" Xie’an pulled out an inconspicuous grey small sphere from the list of gifts.

Lu Hong glanced at it. "You can’t tell what this is?"

"Yeah." Xie’an nodded, "I can’t guess its origin. It might be an extremely precious treasure; it’s a pity that I can’t find any method to activate it. But it’s also possible that it’s just a worn-out toy. You keep it."

"Give me the junk?" Lu Hong curled his lips and took the small sphere carelessly, tossing it into his Space Ring.

But the grey-white small sphere, seemingly sensing something, suddenly burst out a blood-red glow.

Lu Hong naturally sensed this scene as well. Inserting his consciousness, he quickly realized that the small sphere was resonating intensely with the Slaughter Demon Armor given to him by Caesar.

Taking out the Slaughter Demon Armor and the small sphere, as these two items came together, a strong fluctuation emitted from them, with the blood-red light intensifying.

"Fuck?" Xie’an was astonished. Could this small sphere really be a treasure?

The Slaughter Demon Armor given by Caesar had a tiny round hole in the front chest, which should be where the small sphere was meant to be placed.

Lu Hong picked up the small sphere and stuffed it into the hole.

The next second, the damaged Slaughter Demon Armor was completely enveloped in red light. Moments later, blood-like patterns gradually crawled over the armor, and faint thoughts transmitted into Lu Hong’s mind.

"Slaughter Demon Armor!" Lu Hong spoke softly. Through the transmitted thoughts, he understood the origin of the armor. It was a divine item forged when the War God led a warrior profession to counter-attack Hell, bestowed upon his capable general, Luna. And Luna, with the help of the Slaughter Demon Armor, slaughtered heavily within Hell, soon drawing the attention of the Hell Lords. Eventually, he died under the joint attack of three Hell Lords. Afterwards, the War God arrived, slaying the Hell Lords and bringing back the body of the hero, while the Slaughter Demon Armor, tainted by Hell Demon blood, awoke a highly Bloodthirsty Artifact Spirit. It constantly backlashed against the inheritors of the armor, and in the end, the War God sealed the Artifact Spirit within the small sphere, separating it from the armor.

If the grey-white small sphere had not returned, Lu Hong estimated he would never be able to activate the Slaughter Demon Armor in his lifetime. But now with the small sphere back, everything was different. An armor that could withstand the blows of Hell Lords, Heavenly God Level powerhouses, could not be imagined in how much it would enhance a close combatant.

Lu Hong’s breathing became slightly rapid, touching the blood-like patterns on the armor, he felt breathing, he felt the pulse beating. This armor was a living thing!

"Yes, wear it, and slaying gods wouldn’t be a problem." At this moment, an extremely tempting voice arose from the depths of Lu Hong’s heart, as if it could see through Lu Hong’s thoughts. "You only need to wear it, and you will possess great power, the power to crush everything!"

"Hmph!"

Before the seductive voice stopped, Holy King snorted coldly to interrupt, "Who is this garbage, trying to tempt my boss?"

The tempting voice was also stunned, obviously, it had not reacted yet, "And what are you exactly?"

"Me?" Holy King chuckled. "I am the founder of Holy Court, the ruler of Holy Court, the Holy King indeed!"

"What Holy Court? What Holy King? Never heard of them, get lost!" The tempting voice laughed and spat out, its tone full of disdain for Holy King.

"Motherfucker! Say that again?!" Holy King cursed on the spot.

"What? You want to fight?" The voice tempting Lu Hong obviously also had a violent temper.

"Come on, do you think I’m scared of you?" Holy King spoke, then to Lu Hong, "Boss, throw this dumb piece of crap into the ring and watch me beat the hell out of him!"

"Humph! Foolish mortal, put me back into the Space Ring. I’ll teach this presumptuous soul a lesson first, and show you my strength."

Listening to the quarreling of the two, Lu Hong was somewhat speechless. As the person involved, he hadn’t even spoken yet!

Forget it, let these two souls stir up trouble by themselves.

Casually throwing the Slaughter Demon Armor back into the Space Ring, Xie’an asked with curiosity, "You’re not going to try it? I sense such powerful energy contained within this armor—it’s definitely a great treasure!"

"Stop dreaming, this is a warrior-class magic artifact that ordinary people can’t use."

"Ugh..."

Xie’an realized that was true, now how many warriors were there in the Star Sea? Ordinary people really couldn’t use it.

"At least tell me about it, won’t you?" Xie’an asked curiously, "What special uses does it have?"

According to the introduction given by the Artifact Spirit’s thoughts, "At most, its defensive abilities are astonishing!"

"That’s it?"

"That’s it."

"How could that be?!" Xie’an didn’t believe it.

"Believe it or not."

While the two of them were arguing, a dragon’s roar exploded through the sky.

The two exchanged glances. A true dragon had been resurrected!

They rushed out of the house, only to see thunderclouds rolling in the sky, and bursts of dragon roars echoing through the heavens. That was the sound coming from the Dragon Tan dimensional plane!

Night Extreme Star Monarch and Cain had unknowingly arrived beside Lu Hong. Cain glanced at Lu Hong and asked, "Where’s my apprentice?"

"She said she recently learned a new specialty dish..." Under Cain’s benevolent gaze, Lu Hong found himself unable to continue.

Night Extreme Star Monarch smiled faintly, then, using his magic power, parted the thick clouds in the Ophiuchus sky, creating a massive magic mirror to project the entire Dragon Tan dimensional plane.

Under everyone’s gaze, the Dragon Tan plane shook violently, the ground shattered, and an ancient true dragon broke free from its shell and was reborn!

This true dragon was simply too vast; each of its stirrings and roars caused the planes near the Dragon Pond to become unstable and fracture, like a tiny boat on a vast sea.

The mountains, rivers, and land of Dragon Pond slid off the true dragon’s head and plunged into the Endless Void. Only then was the majestic form of the true dragon wholly revealed to the Star Sea.

Cain stared at the huge dragon head before him. Was this creature the one that had consumed half of my Divine Soul?

Night Extreme Star Monarch chuckled teasingly, "Old timer, do you still want revenge?"

"No more, no more. I’m not dead anyway," Cain waved his hand dismissively. Against such a colossal being, he wouldn’t even count as a speck of dust, what revenge could he possibly seek?

Not just Cain, but Lu Hong and Xie’an were also similarly awestruck.

If a single head was the size of a dimensional plane, how long was the dragon’s body hidden within the spatial rifts?

The awakening true dragon struggled, dragging its skeletal body out of the void bit by bit.

After a very long time, the true dragon’s body completely emerged from the spatial rift and danced wildly within the Star Sea, stirring winds and clouds that caused the hundred nearby planes to tremble. The Ophiuchus plane, not far from Dragon Pond, was on the verge of breaking apart.

Luckily, Night Extreme Star Monarch was prepared, and at the moment, there weren’t many casualties.

"I only thought this true dragon would be huge, I never imagined it would be this massive!" Cain couldn’t help but feel emotional.

"Indeed," said Night Extreme Star Monarch nodding, "The Cairo family has hit the jackpot this time. With the help of this true dragon, conquering dimensional planes will be like child’s play." He cast a glance towards Xie’an.

At this moment, Xie’an was in a highly tense state. Night Extreme Star Monarch was right; once the Cairo family reached out to the Star Sea, this true dragon would sweep away all obstacles for them! The grace of God would at best be like a piece of flatbread too big to swallow in its face!

The resurrected true dragon was extremely excited, scanning the Star Sea continuously, feeling wonder at everything after its long slumber.

And just then, the true dragon sensed a familiar presence and fiercely fixed its gaze toward the Ophiuchus plane not far from itself.

The massive dragon’s head loomed over Ophiuchus, its emerald eyes covering the plane’s skies.

As the true dragon approached, the hearts of Ophiuchus’s inhabitants faltered, while Cain and Night Extreme Star Monarch braced for the imminent danger.

"Father!" A torrent of dragon language exploded over the Ophiuchus plane. Those of the Third Transition professions and below were struck hard, vomiting blood and falling to the ground unconscious. Xie’an, too, couldn’t escape the true dragon’s imposing pressure, and as for Lu Hong, he barely managed to hold on.
