MMORPG: War God, You are Invincible Again -
Chapter 354 - 109: Kill
Chapter 354: Chapter 109: Kill
Lu Hong was a Third Transition Air Sect, sharing the same profession as Luis. Logically, with the demise of the Air Sect God in the wilderness plane, his lineage should have withered, but instead of losing faith, his strength surged, fueling his ambition to dominate the lawless zones and establish a substantial dominion.
"Mindsea Tsunami!" Lone Wolf’s blade tip erupted with a milky-white glow, slashing fiercely towards Lu Hong. As the blade cut through the air, a tide of Magic Power suddenly rose.
In the Second Transition plane, though the levels of Third Transition powerhouses were reduced, their absolute strength was still formidable. The moment Lone Wolf activated his Skill, Lu Hong sensed an intense danger.
He could not afford to underestimate this adversary; Lone Wolf seemed to truly have some depth.
"Blood Transverse Sky!" As he swung his dual swords, a river of blood surged downward, colliding fiercely with Lone Wolf’s Mindsea. The entire village shook from the impact, the ground cracked open, and buildings collapsed.
The great druid, full of hatred towards Lu Hong, recklessly enhanced Lone Wolf’s abilities: "Kill him now! Be careful with my arm!"
Lone Wolf smiled, "Easy. By the end of tonight, I’ll have a satisfactory apology for you."
"Hmph!" the great druid snorted coldly, "You better do as you say."
Under Lone Wolf’s control, the Mindsea advanced unstoppably, and Lu Hong’s Blood River began to retreat.
This Lone Wolf must have had some miraculous encounter!
Lu Hong no longer dared to be careless and urgently called out to the Holy King: "Quick, set up a barrier for me!"
"Yes, yes, yes." Recently, the Holy King had been well cared for by Lu Hong, who had given most of his Qi and blood for the Holy King’s recovery. As the saying goes, one who receives benefits feels obliged. Thus, the Holy King had no complaints about Lu Hong’s commands. Driven by his thoughts, the flawless Holy Light, like a proud sun, tore through the night and slowly descended.
Feeling the pressure of this Skill, Lone Wolf’s expression suddenly turned solemn: "Third Transition Peak? Are you from the Holy Court?"
As the proud sun split, four massive curtains completely sealed off the northwestern corner of the village. Those inside could see out, but those outside could not see what was happening inside.
With the preparations complete, Lu Hong finally cried out with relief: "Heavenly God! Descend to the mortal realm!"
The divine light exploded, and Lu Hong’s body soared, surrounded by a halo of seven colors, resembling a reborn Heavenly God.
Lone Wolf was no fool, his pupils constricted, and his expression grew even more astonished: "You’re the Baron of the Imperial Yitian?"
"Exactly!" Feeling invigorated, Lu Hong faced the crushing Mindsea, clenched his fist, and then smashed it fiercely.
With one punch, Lone Wolf’s Mindsea shattered explosively, and all Magic Power dissipated where the divine light passed.
Although Lone Wolf had long heard of Baron Yitian’s reputation, he didn’t know much about just how formidable the Baron was and was caught off guard. Before he could react, Lu Hong’s fist was still nearing his nose.
"Have you gone mad?!" the great druid yelled behind him, as countless vines burst from the ground attempting to intercept Lu Hong’s charging figure.
Unfortunately, the magic-immune Lu Hong could not be restrained by any control, except by some special occupational systems.
The vines couldn’t even touch Lu Hong’s body, melting away under the divine light, and the backlash of the Skill caused the great druid to vomit blood violently, his blood boiling within him; evidently, Lu Hong had enhanced it.
Lone Wolf reacted, hastily retreating, but it was too late.
His nose was struck by Lu Hong, immediately spraying blood high into the air. He was sent flying, crashing heavily against the barrier that the Holy King had set up.
Taking advantage of the momentum, Lu Hong grabbed the great druid in front of him, holding his neck with one hand, he coldly said, "Next life, remember to be a good person."
"No,,,,,," Before the great druid could beg for mercy, Lu Hong snapped his neck.
Having dealt with the first target, Lu Hong looked towards the still struggling Lone Wolf.
Taking a deep breath, Lone Wolf realized the barrier behind him was exceptionally solid the moment he crashed into it; he knew he couldn’t break through. His only way out was to kill the Baron in front of him.
"Do you really want to perish together?" Lone Wolf made his final struggle: "I can leave this place, not kill a single villager, and give you all my treasure, as long as you spare me."
"Spare you?" Lu Hong chuckled, "It’s not something I couldn’t consider."
"Really?" Lone Wolf’s eyes lit up. He had only mentioned it offhand and hadn’t expected Lu Hong to agree to reconcile.
"Yes, just tell me the location of the treasure, and I promise I won’t kill you."
"What if you go back on your word?" Lone Wolf wasn’t foolish.
"I can swear, swear by the name of the Heavenly God." Saying this, Lu Hong made a vow that if the other party revealed the location of the treasure, he would guarantee not to kill him.
"Okay!" Lone Wolf nodded. Money could be earned again, but life, once lost, was lost forever.
"The wealth and treasures I’ve amassed over the years are hidden on the isolated mountain south of Cursed Village. Halfway up the southern slope, there’s an extremely concealed cave. I placed an Illusion Technique barrier at the entrance, but if you carefully sense the Magic Power, you could still find it." Lone Wolf revealed the location of the treasure and then stared at Lu Hong. "You should fulfill your promise now."
"Of course." Lu Hong snapped his fingers, and as the Heavenly God’s descent faded, the Holy King also withdrew the barrier.
But before Lone Wolf could rejoice, he found that the villagers of Cursed Village had already surrounded the area.
"What are you trying to do?" Lone Wolf shouted. "Get out of my way!"
"Lone Wolf!" the village chief said through gritted teeth, filled with fury. "You have caused the deaths of hundreds of our villagers. Today is the day you pay for it!"
"Heh, just with you?" As long as Lu Hong didn’t intervene, Lone Wolf wasn’t afraid. He reached for the Magic artifact with purification Skill made by the great Druid at his waist.
Unfortunately, he grasped at air.
Lone Wolf was shocked and searched frantically but found nothing.
At that moment, Lu Hong lifted the Magic artifact with his fingertips. "Are you looking for this thing?"
Lu Hong wasn’t foolish either. How could he let go of Lone Wolf? When he punched and sent the other flying, he had smoothly snatched the Magic artifact from his waist, letting the villagers of Cursed Village personally settle the score.
Having lost the tool that countered the curse profession, Lone Wolf was completely panicked and quickly tried to sweet-talk the villagers. "Don’t, don’t kill me. It wasn’t me who killed the villagers in the council hall; it was those disobedient underlings. They embezzled the supplies I gave you. By the time I arrived to check, it was already too late. Really, it wasn’t my fault..."
"The underlings you mentioned have already gone to hell ahead of you. I think they must be missing you by now. Go join them!" the villager said.
As he spoke, the power of the curse erupted from the bodies of over two hundred villagers. Lu Hong activated his Divine Eye and saw in the void countless threads of curse converge into a purple-black venomous snake that viciously bit at Lone Wolf.
Deadly poison flowed into Lone Wolf’s body; he convulsed violently, foam forming at the corners of his mouth. Starting from his right arm, where the snake had bitten him, his body began to decay inch by inch.
"No, no!" Lone Wolf let out a painful howl. Amid the hateful gazes all around, he dissolved into a puddle of liquid, dead beyond any doubt.
Having dealt with Lone Wolf, the villagers immediately turned towards Lu Hong. The village chief took the lead in kneeling, followed by all the villagers, regardless of gender or age.
"Thank you, hero, for saving our lives!" The village chief deeply kowtowed. If Lu Hong hadn’t come, it was likely that in a few months, the villagers imprisoned in the council hall would have died out completely. Whereas he and those who labored for Lone Wolf would have remained in the dark until death, never having the chance to free themselves from their bonds.
Lu Hong did not refuse this bow. He could accept it!
"Alright, you’re not getting any younger, don’t strain your back." Lu Hong helped the village chief up. "If you want to thank someone, thank Xu Fubin from your village."
Mentioning Xu Fubin, the village chief quickly asked, "May I know where Fubin is now?"
"In that small town over there. You all should come with me tomorrow and leave this place. Staying here, though Lone Wolf is dead today, there will be a second Lone Wolf. The professions of your cursed lineage have obvious weaknesses; you always need to find a shelter."
The village chief was silent for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, I’ll have them pack up tonight. We’ll leave with you early tomorrow morning."
Lu Hong smiled slightly, patting the village chief’s shoulder. "Don’t worry. I’m not Lone Wolf, nor will I control you. It’s just, seeing how pitiful you are, I found you a good place to go. Have you heard of the Holy Court Archbishop? The reputation of the Holy Court—you should trust it, right?"
It must be said, the name of the Holy Court within the Eagle Alliance was the embodiment of justice. The village chief’s originally heavy expression instantly lightened, a relieved smile on his face tinged with a bit of worry. "The lords of the Holy Court are incarnations of the Holy Light. But, would they accept us, the despicable walkers of darkness?"
"As the Holy Court is the spokesperson of the Holy Light, naturally, they can embrace everything in the world."
Seeing Lu Hong so certain, the village chief let go of his last worry and smiled. "Then we will follow the hero’s arrangement."
"Don’t keep calling me ’hero.’ Just call me Lu Hong."
