Chapter 100: Chapter 98: Wilderness Battle Royale (Part 3)

"Retreat!" The Mage was not foolish, noticing Lu Hong’s murderous gaze and knowing trouble was imminent.

Two of the Mages, still not recovered from the previous lesson, used the Flicker Spell to jump behind the Knight for protection.

"Do not use any spells!" The other two Mages hastily tried to stop them, but it was too late.

"Never learn, do you?" Lu Hong once again used his Intimidation Skill, instantly interrupting their casting and stunning them again.

"How can such a skill exist?!" The two Mages who had not used the Flicker Skill shivered, thinking, "What the hell kind of skill is that, specifically counteracting Mages?"

Indeed, the Intimidation Skill was a counter to most casting professions, but it was not normally so distinct. Against a fully developed professional, the normal effect of intimidation might be minimal, perhaps disrupting them for just a fraction of a second.

But Lu Hong was a BUG, enhanced by the War God’s lineage, greatly boosting the effect of his Intimidation Skill, and these Mages clearly lacked triple mastery.

Of course, Intimidation was also extremely draining on Fighting Spirit. Lu Hong, having used Intimidation again, was nearly out of Fighting Spirit and completely lost control over Sa Re’s power.

Enduring intense pain within his body, Lu Hong quickly charged towards the stunned Mages and with a flash of the Blood Holy Sword in his hand, two heads rolled to the ground.

"Where are you going?" The other two Mages dared not use their skills, so they could only run frantically. But how could Mages outrun a warrior? Lu Hong caught up with them effortlessly and achieved a double kill.

"It’s your turn now." After dealing with the Mages, the remaining two Knights, though furious, dared not advance. Ten men had been killed by him in a matter of minutes, leaving them with no courage to move forward. Were they just going to add to the death toll?

Just as Lu Hong was about to make his move, a Rain of Fire fell from above—reinforcements had arrived!

"You’re going to die!" The approaching group consisted of over a hundred men, including more than thirty archers. Lu Hong dodged continuously, but still his arms and legs were hit by several arrows.

Pulling out the arrows, Lu Hong felt weakened: "Demon-breaking Arrows!"

This was a skill of the archer job, with arrows that carried a weakening effect.

"Kill!" Another thirty melee soldiers charged directly at him.

Lu Hong’s eyes also reddened with fury; he still hadn’t advanced in rank, and if he didn’t advance soon, he really was going to die!

"Kill!" Lu Hong roared back, ignoring his injuries and charging towards them with a resolve to fight to the death.

"Do not release any skills, wait in place!" The Mages and archers stopped their actions. With only one enemy and many allies, they dared not use their skills anymore, fearing they might accidentally hurt their teammates instead.

"Surround him; he’s almost done for!" The enemy was very wise, noticing Lu Hong’s severe injuries, they surrounded him and kept harassing him with incessant attacks.

"Die, die, die!" Lu Hong had just blocked six knives from the front when dozens more blades stabbed at him from behind and the sides.

Burdened by his injuries, Lu Hong had lost his optimal mobility and, already severely wounded, his Lion King Descent status had long faded.

"Go to hell!" After a struggle, two swords simultaneously pierced his abdomen.

Sa Re’s soldiers sneered at Lu Hong, "Time to collect your bounty."

"Bounty? Even if there’s a bounty, you won’t get a share!" Lu Hong grabbed both their wrists with all his strength and crushed their hand bones.

"Ah!" The two screamed in agony, and other soldiers rushed forward trying to pull Lu Hong away.

"Go to hell!" Lu Hong exerted force once again, tearing off both their arms.

But before Lu Hong could swing his sword to kill them, a soldier rushing forward punched him onto the ground.

"Why haven’t I advanced yet?" Eventually, Lu Hong fell to the ground powerless and couldn’t get up again.

"Kill him, kill him!" The two with severed arms were in excruciating pain, roaring at their companions with eyes full of hatred towards Lu Hong.

"Don’t kill him, he’s definitely worth more alive than dead." The other soldiers shook their heads in refusal of the armless men’s suggestion.

"If you don’t strike, I will!" Since they were refused, the two decided to take matters into their own hands.

Yet before they could pick up their weapons, a hidden arrow pierced their hearts from behind.

"Less money split between fewer people is better than having more people."

"You,,,,,,you,,,,,," The men with amputated arms looked pleadingly around, but everyone present watched them coldly, offering no help. The one who had acted from the shadows was right - with one fewer person, everyone else would receive a larger portion of Sa Re’s bounty.

"Ha ha ha, I told you... you won’t get any reward money. Cough cough... won’t get any... ha ha ha!" Lu Hong, lying on the ground, shook with laughter.

"Take him away and present him to the Earl for a reward." As the crowd prepared to carry Lu Hong away, a red light descended from the distant void, enveloping him.

"This feels like advancing!" The red light shone on Lu Hong and quickly healed his injuries and, furthermore, his sparse fighting spirit gradually became abundant. It turned out that in the end, Lu Hong really only needed the experience of those two people to advance. Originally, he had no chance, but the greed of this group gave Lu Hong hope.

"Is he advancing? Stop him!"

The long-range professions, which had not attacked from a distance, immediately began their assault, launching magic-infused arrows and a sky full of magic power directly at Lu Hong.

But these fierce attacks disappeared without a trace once they entered the red light. How could the Heavenly God allow mortals to interrupt during a blessing?

At this moment, the Blood Holy Sword slowly floated up from the ground, melting into a blood chain in the red light and drilling into Lu Hong’s forehead.

As the fighting spirit returned to fullness, the most critical step in the advancement occurred—the transformation of fighting spirit.

Every profession’s advancement involves elevating basic strength to a higher level, and under the influence of the Blood Holy Sword, Lu Hong was destined to specialize as an Angry Blood Warrior.

The yellow fighting spirit slowly turned into a blood-red color, the power of his vital energy, which also formed the basic requirement for unleashing Second Transition skills.

As the fighting spirit fully transformed into vital energy under the red light, the amount of vital energy power suddenly began to expand, multiplying to three times its original size!

What did three times represent? It meant that Lu Hong had now reached a level equivalent to Second Transition Level Five!

Not only that, the advancement of an Angry Blood Warrior included a significant enhancement of the warrior’s physique, and Lu Hong, who was already formidable, gained an unprecedented boost this time.

Initially, he could ignore attacks from skills below First Transition Level 8. After this enhancement, the limit he could ignore was raised to the initial levels of the Second Transition!

"Quick... call for reinforcements!" Sa Re’s subordinates, dumbfounded watching Lu Hong’s advancement, had just advanced to the Second Transition, but from the aura he emitted, they already felt a fear originating from their souls.

"Blood Lord, prove your strength to the world!" The War God’s voice echoed over the land of the fringe forest. Sa Re and his men trembled and knelt on the ground, unable to lift their heads under the divine pressure.

"Who... who could make the Heavenly God grant bias?!" Sa Re, terrified, believed that the Wilderness Plane was about to welcome a new ruler!

"Second Transition, is this the power of my Second Transition?!" Lu Hong, fully revived, showed no signs of earlier weakness, having not only advanced to Second Transition Level 1 but also fully mastered all three skills.

No wonder he hadn’t advanced for so long—it turned out that each time he entered the Second Transition, he had to fill up the experience for all three skills to level up.

This was not a disadvantage for Lu Hong; instead, each advancement brought a great improvement. He had been worried about mastering the three aspects after advancing, but now he was free of that burden.

"He just advanced to the Second Transition; he must still be unfamiliar with his own power. Let’s go!" Despite feeling a deep-rooted fear of Lu Hong, greed could conquer all. Thinking that Lu Hong had just advanced to the Second Transition, this group still saw a chance to defeat him.

"Just advanced to the Second Transition?" Lu Hong, having gone through hardships, now felt much lighter, and his tone of speech had become notably more cheerful: "I’m not some rookie at the initial levels of Second Transition."

"Attack!" Several dozen melee professions, no longer hesitating, launched their attack at Lu Hong simultaneously.

Facing a group’s assault once again, Lu Hong had no worries: "I remember there’s a skill called ’Blood Transverse Sky’ at Second Transition Level 8."

"Level 8 skill? How is that possible?" Sa Re’s subordinates were shocked. A Second Transition Level 8 skill was something only outsiders could master; they could at most grasp skills up to Second Transition Level 4.

Faced with his enemy’s doubts, Lu Hong gripped the Blood Holy Sword tightly, breaking it in two—the form the holy sword was meant to have.

"Blood Transverse Sky!" Following Lu Hong’s fierce shout, he swung the holy swords. The previously clear and blue sky suddenly ripped open a red gash, like a wound torn open on a person, violently spewing dark red blood, sweeping towards Sa Re’s subordinates.

"Quick, defend!" The enemy was no fool, sensing the power of the skill was many times stronger than theirs, they hurriedly activated their strongest defensive skills to hold their ground.

"Prepare the Sealing Arrow!" The leading archer shouted as a group of archers desperately channeled their magic power, their longbows glowing with a dazzling green light.

"Fire!"

The green Sealing Arrows scattered in the direction of the surging Blood River, attempting to suppress the Blood River in the sky.

It was a good idea, and the approach was entirely correct, but they were dealing with Lu Hong, an anomaly. The power of his vital energy was just too overwhelming. Despite the combined strength of about a dozen people being greater than the vital energy contained in the Blood River, the Blood River could directly burst through any of the town’s sealing arrow points.

The Sealing Arrow could seal a force attribute twice its own size, but compared to them, Lu Hong was many times stronger and simply could not be suppressed.

"Ice Blast!" Mage professions, once the Sealing Arrow failed, immediately and synchronously chanted a spell, dozens of mages combining their power as a massive ice dragon’s head emerged in the air, spewing freezing breath at Lu Hong’s Blood River in an attempt to freeze it.

"Intimidation!" Lu Hong would not let them have their way. With a fierce shout, it exploded in the ears of the many mages. The power of Intimidation after advancing to the Second Transition reached a new level—those mages, not yet having mastered all three skills, suddenly suffered ruptured eardrums, magic power reversing flow, spitting out blood costing them half their lives.

As the mages faced a setback, the ice dragon’s head collapsed and dissipated, and with no obstacles left, the Blood River raised giant waves that instantly engulfed the group of melee professions.
