Chapter 1701: Chapter 1701 Stubborn

Aeserleso, is the name of the city ruins, and here stands a tall tower that glimmers with the light of magic.

This place was once a bustling elven city, a gem in its own right, but as the heavens crumbled, the city sank into the sea.

Recently, influenced by an unknown force, this underwater city re-emerged, and many Nagas have occupied the place with plans unclear.

Wherever you look, there are Nagas everywhere, and judging by their strict discipline, it’s evidently a formal Naga legion. It’s nothing like those scattered Nagas along the coast.

There are teams here hunting Nagas, but they do so cautiously, never daring to provoke large groups of Nagas, and always ready to retreat.

It’s indeed thrilling, yet still many guilds and players are eager to hunt Nagas.

Although very hard to kill, and if not careful, the team might get wiped out, the rewards are equally astonishing, not because of high drop rates.

It’s the sea products, especially those from the deep sea Nagas, that offer unique deep-sea specialties.

Rarity makes value; as long as there’s demand and limited supply, the price naturally goes up.

What Li Yao sees is the guild-organized large battalion, divided into different squads, attracting a batch of Nagas, then dividing them into manageable groups.

If too many are attracted, they retreat and try again.

Of course, there are also solo teams and players, utilizing terrain or other methods to hunt.

In short, where there’s a monster, there will surely be players; as long as the level is sufficient, there’s no place players can’t discover.

Many people publish their findings on forums to earn forum currency, while each guild has its own exploration team, specifically searching for various creatures on obscure maps and marking them.

These are crucial intelligence, and Starfire also has such exploration teams, though Li Yao has never managed them.

Moreover, he has lived anew, so he doesn’t need this information; he knows what various places are like at different stages, not perfectly but enough for him.

This city ruin partly stands on land and a small part is submerged in shallow water.

The number of Nagas is considerable, and linked to the ocean, making it impossible for Li Yao to estimate the army’s precise numbers.

If Withered Sun Legion were here, attacking the place wouldn’t be a problem.

But with the armies at hand, it’s somewhat challenging, mainly because it’s somewhat not worth it.

"I don’t see any point wasting time here," said the Blue Dragon Queen, seeing Li Yao drawing and writing on the map he crafted on the ground.

Li Yao had already made a plan and said, "Are you trying to persuade me with your overwhelming power theory again?"

"Isn’t it correct? With your current strength, you can easily crush the Nagas here, yet you are overly cautious, lacking the demeanor of a great commander," remarked the Blue Dragon Queen bluntly.

"That’s why you’re outdated. Apparently, you didn’t listen to what I told you not long ago." Li Yao sighed.

"I only listen to theories I find correct," the Blue Dragon Queen replied proudly, "I have countless years of experience; you are still too young."

"Oh, did your many years of experience save the Blue Dragon Warrior Legion from being annihilated? Did your experience help you avoid the Lich King’s control? Adapt to the times; if you never understand this, you’ll always be just a henchman. The era where dragons crush everything is over."

Li Yao patiently explained, "Take the Battle of Quicksand for example, your four dragon legions combined merely managed to seal the Worm Tribe; you couldn’t truly overpower them. Even if you could, without sealing the Worm Tribe, what would be the fate of those dragons?"

"Those weren’t the true elite dragons, just young dragons of the younger generation," the Blue Dragon Queen stubbornly insisted on her point.

"Alright, if you think the elite dragons can solve the Anqiraj Worm Tribe, then we’ll wait and see. That day won’t be too long, and we’ll prove whether your viewpoint is correct. The reality is, whether it be young or old dragons, they have started letting go of their ingrained pride and prejudice, changing their perceptions and understanding. This doesn’t cause dragons any losses; instead, it allows them to survive better in this world."

"Then I will wait and see, and watch for the changes you speak of in dragons," conceded the Blue Dragon Queen after a moment of silence, finding it hard to believe how traditional dragons will change.

"What the master said is true, but without seeing it firsthand, this stubborn sister won’t believe it, so there’s no point in continuing this topic. Once the epic happens, she’ll have to believe," the Black Dragon Queen interjected, diverting from the conflicting topic, "Master, what plan have you thought of?"

"Actually, I had an idea from the start, but just wanted to understand the specific situation and calculate the kind of power I need for the items in my plan. What I want is not just minimizing casualties; I even hope for zero casualties," Li Yao replied.

"The master is probably wanting to exploit the Nagas’ lack of an air force," inferred the Black Dragon Queen.

"I know you’re good at engineering, but if the Nagas enter the water, your engineered items may become useless," stated the Blue Dragon Queen.

"The idea is correct, and that is indeed a problem, so I’ve thought about it for a long time and finally came up with a solution and mapped out the general idea."

As Li Yao spoke, various materials appeared around him, and he started tinkering around noisily. After a while, he had produced a dozen large bombs.

"Is this your solution?" queried the Blue Dragon Queen, puzzled.

"Yes, can any of you take me up high to test the effect?" asked Li Yao.

"I’ll do it," volunteered the Blue Dragon Queen, wanting to see how Li Yao would solve the issue.

Li Yao flew high into the air, although the Nagas saw them, they were too high, beyond their attack range, leaving the Nagas helpless.

Li Yao directly launched the bombs in his hands downwards. The bombs descended, and some Nagas cast spells at them, but only left pits on the bombs; they didn’t explode mid-air.

Until the bombs settled in the water without detonating, even the Nagas felt puzzled about what this odd fellow was up to, throwing down some iron lumps as if trying to hit a target—utterly laughable.

"Was it a failed creation? No matter, there are many; let’s toss another one to see," suggested the Black Dragon Queen.

Though the Blue Dragon Queen said nothing, a hint of a ’as expected’ expression flashed in her eyes.

Li Yao shook his head, "Who says my creation failed? I just didn’t trigger it to explode. It’s simply not exploding because I haven’t activated it yet."...
