Chapter 1677: Chapter 1677: Breaking Free from the Shackles of Fate

Li Yao admired the seemingly dreamlike Blue Dragon Queen for a while before he said, "How’s the new body?"

The Blue Dragon Queen’s voice carried a hint of metal quality, yet her inherent coldness remained unchanged: "It’s not bad, much better than I anticipated."

In humanoid form, the Black Dragon Queen, full of charm, laughed and said, "Master, don’t be fooled by his calmness now; you have no idea how overjoyed he has been these last two days. Mechanical lifeforms, that’s what you called them, right? They are almost identical to real life forms, much better than the frost skeletal dragon state."

The Blue Dragon Queen’s form shifted, directly transforming into a human shape, yet her human state differed from the blue mage robe Li Yao had seen on the Ice Peak Throne.

Her skin was as clear as jade, emitting a faint blue halo, with eyes deep and brilliant, a tall silhouette, and a face composed with holy dignity.

Her body was covered with a layer of beautiful armor comprised seemingly of blue crystal, like a goddess of war cooled to the extreme.

"It just can’t transform into a mage robe, only armor, which is a bit troublesome." The Blue Dragon Queen frowned slightly.

"You should be content, sister; the defense of this crystal armor is incomparably stronger than a mage robe. You can charge and crush everything without any need for magic. Moreover, these metal crystals have formidable magic abilities, so you won’t have any problem even without a magic wand."

The Black Dragon Queen smiled and said, "The key is that our master seems to really like it, staring at you for quite some time. Looks like I need to consider transforming myself as well."

"Blackie, you’ve fallen." The Blue Dragon Queen frowned.

"Fallen? The black dragon king in my heart died over ten thousand years ago. Would finding a partner be considered as degeneration? Do you want me to follow Deathwing, that lunatic?" The Black Dragon Queen’s eyes carried both sadness and disdain, but then she reverted to a charming smile: "Besides, you’ll discover our master’s allure over time."

"Maybe so, we can’t go back; even if we return to the Blue Dragon Tribe, I am no longer myself." The Blue Dragon Queen sighed deeply: "Since you let others call you the Black Lady, then I’ll call myself the Blue Lady. From now on, I’m no longer the Blue Dragon Queen, just one of the master’s combat generals."

Li Yao lightly coughed and said, "Don’t be too deliberate, whatever happened before is just your past; intentionally forgetting and avoiding it is meaningless. Only by constantly striving and becoming stronger, using our power to crush those troubles, can we truly transcend."

The Black Dragon Queen wrapped her arm around Li Yao’s arm and said, "Oh, it seems our master is quite concerned about Blue Lady; you haven’t enlightened me like this."

Li Yao instantly sensed fullness and calmly withdrew his arm, saying, "I’m not enlightening you, just telling you a fact. No matter how strong the guardian power is, it’s not entirely yours. Only by transcending yourself can you follow the right path. In my view, the so-called guardian power is not a blessing to your Five Dragon Clans, but rather an unescapable curse, which has already begun to manifest and will continue to worsen."

The Blue Dragon Queen’s eyes brightened up: "What do you mean, master?"

"Do I need to elaborate? Don’t you understand? Your Five Dragon Clans seem powerful yet are restrained. Just look at the current dragon kings. The Blue Dragon King practices titan orders most thoroughly, but his insistence led to the great upheaval eons ago."

"Was the Black Dragon King truly enticed by the ancient gods? In reality, not so. If the Black Dragon King sought not to break away from the fate bestowed by the titans, then even the whispers of the ancient gods couldn’t influence him. The ancient gods merely amplified such thoughts. Thousands of years ago, with the sky collapsing and the earth shattering into several continents, Black Dragon King’s body was almost torn apart. How could he enjoy such fate?"

"As for the Green Dragon Queen, she seems to control the Emerald Dream, yet the green dragons are dangerously on the brink of collapse at any moment. Dreams naturally contain pleasant ones and nightmares; the dreamland world is the same. It’s impractical to wipe out all nightmares; as in the vast universe, light cannot eliminate darkness. Such a wish is absurd unless the entire universe perishes."

"Bronze Dragon King, a broad-minded wise man, controls the timelines of the Ancient God World, quite admirable, right? But he can merely observe without daring to interfere at all. During the ancient war, he saw the fall of the Black Dragon King, the extinction of the Blue Dragon Legion, the collapse of the heavens and earth, and even his own fall and death. Yet he was powerless to make changes, and the tribulations thereof are imaginable."

"And the Red Dragon Queen, extraordinarily charitable—I can only describe it thus—almost like a white lotus—oh, overly selfless. But you know, when you’re acquainted with someone, regardless of any mistakes made or trouble caused, it will always be forgiven. Over time, this becomes taken for granted; how can it last long?"

After finishing, Li Yao didn’t bother the two thoughtful queens but took out a map, starting to devise his plan.

Li Yao’s goal wasn’t merely to get some equipment for the guild; he had a grander purpose. To hold onto the queen’s favor, he needed something substantial.

As for those so-called arsenals, they may seem crucial, but they don’t affect the overall situation.

What really matters is the Air Fortress. The queen didn’t request his Drying Sun due to face, but he could see the longing in her eyes.

It’s essential to cater to one’s preferences and provide what they desire.

Thus, Li Yao’s real target this time is not just to secure equipment for the guild; it’s to procure an Air Fortress for the queen.

This way he can demonstrate his competence to those under him, especially since the Dark Camp doesn’t have one yet; he alone possesses one.

Others may say it’s dumb luck, but if he procures yet another, that proves genuine skill, and no one can argue against it.

After rehearsing the plan in his mind, Li Yao raised his head: "You both should have figured it out, so let me be straightforward: achieving demigod—even divine enthronement—is not too distant for me. You returning to the dragon clans does nothing constructive. Instead, being entangled in the threads of fate is disadvantageous. Whereas freeing yourselves now, it holds merit, and in entering into contracts with me, becoming demigods won’t hinder you. This is the essence of contracts, with plenty of drawbacks, but the benefit is shedding your predetermined fate."

"Regardless, my resolve is to follow master faithfully, whatever you say, goes." The Black Dragon Queen replied.

"I hope what you say isn’t mere boasting," the Blue Dragon Queen sighed.

"In due time, you’ll see, and it won’t be long. For now, in the absence of a true aerial steed, I can only inconvenience you two momentarily, one day at a time, how’s that?" Li Yao proposed.

"I can agree, why don’t you get familiar with sister today; I’ll take a day off. Just as my luxurious room hasn’t been enjoyed fully yet, send me back, would you?" The Black Dragon Beast stretched lazily, completely unconcerned about her explosive body being revealed.

"Very well, I trust you’ll guard the Drying Sun." Li Yao nodded...
