Chapter 1545: Stabilizing
Chapter 1545: Chapter 1545: Stabilizing
The Dwarf ancestors were Earth Spirits from Ancient Times, creations of the Titans, and the power they wielded was nearly equal to that of the Black Dragon clan.
Of course, they were not as domineering as the Black Dragon clan, since the Black Dragons were infused with true Titan blood, while the Earth Spirits were elemental beings created by the will of earth due to their constitution, essentially a weakened version of lesser Titans.
However, after the war with the old gods ended, these Earth Spirit Warriors were either sealed away or became guardians of the cities left behind by the Titans.
But after the Titans left, the Earth Spirits ultimately did not escape the clutches of the old gods and were cursed with flesh, turning them from inanimate to animate beings.
Over time, the ancient Earth Spirits evolved into three factions; one faction retained their Earth Spirits’ appearance but their power and law power dwindled over generations. Even though they retained the form of Earth Spirits, they no longer possessed their former power and glory, though as elemental beings, this faction is still immensely strong.
The second faction evolved into Mountain Giants, who despite retaining some of their former strength, lost most of their intelligence for high command, becoming a lower intelligence race.
The third faction was completely flesh-ified; they nearly lost all their Earth Spirits law power and endless strength, but they remained a formidable race.
These are known as Dwarfs, and though they are short, compared to gnomes and goblins, they still possess formidable strength and vigor, and while they cannot compare to their ancient ancestors, they are still amongst the forefront of intelligent species today.
This includes the former Dwarf King, titled the King of the Mountain, who ruled the Dwarf Kingdom for thousands of years.
Under his leadership, the Dwarfs unearthed new potential and established their own kingdom and radiant civilization; they not only built giant cities in the mountains but also became the world’s leading experts in forging.
Moreover, with generations of Dwarfs researching, they reawakened a trace of their ancestral bloodline power, gaining temporary access to the powers of their ancestors, which the Dwarfs now use today.
Although the Dwarf Kingdom is now fragmented, their civilization has been handed down, far surpassing the Dwarfs of Uldaman, even though their status is similar, the disparity is too glaring.
The Dwarfs of the Light Faction employ ancestral secret techniques to protect the Light Faction’s army formation, causing the Uldaman Dwarfs on the city walls of Uldaman to gaze enviously.
The Angels of the Neutral Faction continuously chant sacred hymns, surrounded by layers of divine radiance and numerous light spirits dancing around the army formation, protecting the Neutral Faction’s Legion.
The Angels, needless to say, belong to an extraordinary race capable of becoming gods, whose strength is unquestionable.
In comparison, the Chaos Camp is significantly lacking; although they possess Advanced Wisdom, the level of their Advanced Wisdom isn’t particularly high and hasn’t been for long.
In other words, they lack the heritage from the Ancient Times, have mixed bloodlines, and lack a radiant civilization, still living in a tribal era.
Although the Dark Camp seems also to be in a tribal era, each tribe in the Dark Camp has its own civilization and great cities.
Except for a few races in the Chaos Camp who have their own supercities, others are still settlements.
The main city of the Lizardmen was built by the Dragon King, yet it was destroyed during the planar invasion.
Moreover, as the Chaos Camp has only been established for a few months, the camaraderie amongst themselves isn’t deep, their union is merely due to pressure from the three major factions.
Without having gone through a true baptism of fire and blood, although there aren’t no conflicts among the races of the three factions, having endured countless battles, they have formed a unified front that can closely cooperate.
Conversely, the Chaos Camp fights each for their own, each deploying their strategies, and not all of their races are proficient in defense, under such relentless assault, the Chaos Camp has sustained considerable losses in soldiers.
Yet a few player teams also managed to withstand the first wave of frenzied attacks with their defense formations, at least keeping their frontlines intact.
"Counterattack!"
"Kill!"
"Counteroffensive!"
In the Dark Camp, Undead Warlocks, High Elf Mages, Troll Hunters, and various other ranged classes launched a counterattack, initiating a comeback from the safety of their ranks.
Under the Dwarfs’ defense, the Light Faction’s Gnome shooters, Cannoneers, Human Magicians and Mages, and Ancient Elf Hunters also began their counteroffensive.
In the Neutral Faction, under the protection of Angels, Amazon huntresses, Barbarian Hurricanes, and sanctuary-based human Mages and Hunters also carried out their counterattacks.
The Chaos Camp was rather chaotic, still in the process of coordinating, lacking the efficiency of the three major factions.
Of course, not just the three major factions, but also a few guild teams stabilized their defenses and, hearing the order from the generals of the three factions, began their counterattacks, after all, victory in the third level was all about military achievements.
To claim the so-called First Kill, the top priority was to kill enemies.
Many well-established top guilds were well-prepared, and their Legion scrolls had been hoarded in advance.
For example, The Court, the world’s number one guild under Edward’s leadership, was flourishing with Arrays, and Edward not only possessed leadership but also top notch skills - his title as the world’s number one female player was not in vain. He also uniquely possessed an item in the game that allowed him to actually switch classes, mastering both Priest and Mage professions.
The Court’s Legion formed lines of War Bears clad in Armor, not only tough in defense but also formidable in combat capability.
Other renowned guilds like Summit of the Gods, Nordic Mythology, Olympus, also showcased their deep-rooted strength.
The Chaos Camp also saw several mixed guilds launching counterattacks.
Many teams and groups near these legions unconsciously revolved around these as central figures, creating several focal points in the vast battlefield.
And these central guilds did not refuse, with these peripheral legions they were even safer, able to continuously harvest, while those affiliated guilds could reduce losses.
The vast battlefield formed dozens of centers, like numerous massive grindstones interlocking with each other.
After the initial confusion and impacts, those utilizing offensive formations suffered hugely, yet after integrating into the centers, they also began to reap some benefits.
"Three thousand yards to the left front, the Thunder Beast formation has been crushed by the Black Dragon Clan, numbering over three hundred, likely to impact our formation," a Scout shouted.
The femme fatale quickly ordered: "Pass my command, let the Holy Fire Guild’s Ant Formation gather to the front left, the left front Fire Bird Formation to defend the direction of the Holy Fire Guild, Ant Formation eliminate the Black Dragons."
"Yes," a Scout quickly relayed the order, the other affiliated guilds had no choice but to comply with the coordination, that’s the price of affiliation, though only temporarily.
And the affiliated guilds were very willing to comply...
