Chapter 1448: Competing in Beauty

Chapter 1448: Chapter 1448: Competing in Beauty

The current Starfire 40-man group has nearly thirty female players, making up nearly two-thirds.

And there’s no nepotism involved, everyone was selected through intense competitions and can only join the core group if their credentials and contributions are up to par.

Not to say they are all great beauties, but in the magical world of ancient gods, with a bit of magic, equipment, and some accessories, everyone has their own unique flair, plentiful in variety.

At the very least, they are pleasing to the eye, which is also a reflection of the times. Nowadays, society genuinely achieves gender equality, where women holding up half the sky is not just a slogan, but a concrete social reality.

Seeing this situation, the male members of Starfire were green with envy, each as if injected with adrenaline, howling and adamant about entering the core group.

But only those who truly enter the core group know the pain and pleasure within; visually speaking, it’s quite a treat.

There are several unparalleled beauties and others also have their unique charms, a feast for the eyes amidst a sea of flowers.

But catching one’s interest is challenging; everyone in the Starfire Core Group is top-notch in skills and equipment, sharp in mind and tactics, resolutely formidable.

Some have such a strong presence that they discourage any pursuit.

Not to mention Sister Li, setting aside her role as a CEO of a top 500 real-world company, her absolute authority within the guild makes everyone both respect and fear her; they’ve seen too much of Sister Li’s maneuvers, no one can compete with her in tact.

Whether male or female, except for a few elders, everyone else is exceedingly cautious.

Knight, needless to say, the top MT of the guild, though calling her an ice mountain would be an exaggeration, she is reticent; and crucially, her husband is also in the core group.

Feng Yi, poised and dignified, but considering her title, the guild leader’s wife, alright, let’s not court death.

Enchantress, her beauty drives one to madness, but her extreme beauty makes others feel inferior; crudely put, just glancing at her fans the flames of desire, but the thought of embracing her feels like a grave desecration and self-contempt.

Tong Tong, erm, little loli doesn’t count.

The next stable candidate is Xiang Xiang, gentle and composed, possessing the delicate and elegant charm of Eastern women, reminiscent of well-educated ladies from scholarly families; but once you really join the team, you realize it’s all a façade, it seems so close yet in reality, it’s distant, making her utterly unfathomable.

Fireworks, filled with the charm of a young married woman, every frown and smile exuding allure, fond of joking, occasionally cracking ribald jokes effortlessly; but only when you get to know her well will you face her sharp tongue, not something everyone can handle, plus she has a rather dominant personality.

These are some of the most representative figures, and one can imagine the situation of males in the core group; probably only Li Yao feels at ease, the others are extremely cautious.

Just as a few male players in the core group were sighing in the channel they created for male players, the battle underwent another change.

After more than ten minutes of reciprocal bombardment, the Gatekeeper was scarred all over, its surface burned, turning black, while its organs hidden to the onlooker were covered in frost.

Its health had diminished by half.

Meanwhile, the Druid’s health was still at three-quarters, with only minor scrapes; although she specialized in wilderness and spellcasting rather than healing, she still knew the necessary healing spells.

Long spells were challenging to cast, but the instant Spring Technique continuously healed her injuries and restored her health.

The battleground where the two fought was entirely desolate, with the Gatekeeper losing its original composure and calm.

"Little bug, don’t let me catch you, I’ll tear you apart."

"Let you taste my Splitting Technique."

As everyone watched in shock, the Gatekeeper blew his whistle while frantically pounding on various parts of his body.

Large and small pieces of rock fell off and hit the ground, transforming as they did so. The Gatekeeper seemed to shatter, splitting into more than a dozen large stones and several dozen small stones.

These stones, as they hit the ground, each turned into mini versions of the Gatekeeper and, following his whistle, a Hell portal appeared.

A Two-Headed Dog, seemingly made of gray rocks, emerged, but oddly, it seemed to have an extra neck in the middle, as if a head had been chopped off.

Soon everyone understood the purpose of this neck. The Gatekeeper’s head landed on the cut neck of the Two-Headed Dog, making it seem like the Two-Headed Dog had gained an extra head, turning it into a three-headed dog, but the third head was a bit strange.

Instantly, more than a dozen Gatekeepers about 1.5 yards in size and several smaller ones less than a yard raised their arms.

Suddenly, numerous Stone Bullets of different sizes crazily smashed towards the Druid, and at the same time, the Three-Headed Dog also charged at the Druid.

The barrage of Stone Bullets blocked every direction, and even the tree spirit form, no matter how agile, couldn’t dodge all the Stone Bullets.

Roar!

Facing Stone Bullets of various sizes, the Druid suddenly stopped and, with a roar, transformed into a huge War Bear. The War Bear’s fur was golden, and as it roared, numerous Earth Elements gathered to form the Earth Armor that enveloped the War Bear, turning it into an armored battle bear.

Bang bang bang...

The impact of the Stone Bullets kept pushing the War Bear back, but since the Stone Bullets were not very large, they were deadly for a tree spirit but barely an itch for the bear clad in the Earth Armor.

"Trash, Stone Bullets are just a nuisance, watch my true self kill you."

The middle head of the Three-Headed Dog, the Gatekeeper, eyes bursting with light, and the two Hellhound heads issued eerie howls, clearly casting some spell as they started chanting.

The Earth Bear suddenly spun its body, its two front paws lashing out frantically. The crowd saw two dense claw shadows circling around the War Bear, tearing the Stone Bullets into fragments, rendering them useless.

Then, by slapping the ground with its front paws, a circle of Stone Columns rose, forming a cage trapping the Hellhounds inside. The Hellhounds crashed madly into the Stone Columns, causing them to crack, obviously not able to hold for long.

But it was enough to control the Hellhounds for a while. After trapping the Hellhounds with the Stone Columns, the Druid didn’t look that way anymore.

Instead, he launched a charge, crossing dozens of yards to smash a larger stone figure, then slammed his Dual Claws on the ground, sending a Shockwave around, temporarily stunning or destabilizing most of the stone figures.

Then the War Bear transformed into a Phantom Tiger, followed by dark claw shadows.

In less than two seconds, when the Hellhounds broke the Stone Columns and rushed out of their confinement, they saw those dark claw shadows tearing their distracted companions into pieces of rubble.

Only a few were intact, but they were practically useless against the Druid, and even for the Phantom Tiger Form, they posed no threat...
