Gao Yang nodded his head after Uriyangko looked at him, then he stretched out his hand and patted Gao Yang’s shoulder forcefully twice before saying with a face full of emotion, “Thank you, I really thank you.”

After speaking, Uriyangko sighed and said, “I understand what you mean, but it’s not necessary, Gao, thank you, but you don’t need to help anymore, the fight Ivan and I have to face won’t be over in just a few short days.”

Gao Yang shook his head and said, “To be honest, whether I can even call Grand Ivan a friend is still up for debate, but I feel that I am friends with Ivan, and I’ve always regarded you as a good friend.

Now that you’re about to do something, I think I need to help you.”

Uriyangko gave a bitter smile and said, “Gao, I have some money, and Ivan also has some—more than I do—and Ivan holds a lot of power, but we can’t hire you anymore, you know, whoever it is that targeted Grand Ivan, it’s going to be a big shot, someone we can’t compete against.”

After sighing once more, Uriyangko spread his hands to Gao Yang and said, “We have people, we have money, but compared to the enemies on Grand Ivan’s level, we are too weak.

Perhaps even with all our resources, we can’t compete, so you better not get involved in this mess.”

Gao Yang shrugged and said, “I’m not talking about taking your money, Uri, I’m here to help, not to do business with you.

Don’t misunderstand that.”

After saying this, Gao Yang said in a serious tone to everyone in the room, “You all heard me, I’m going to South Africa with Uri; this is my personal action, it has nothing to do with the Satan Mercenary Corps.

As of now, the Satan Mercenary Corps is on indefinite leave.”

Li Jinfang smiled and said, “Indefinite leave?

That’s great, Uriyangko, you Vampire, I’m coming with you to South Africa, remember, you’re covering all my expenses.”

Glolov nodded his head and said to Uriyangko, “Uri, we’ve known each other for many years, I’ll give you a hand this time.”

Frey sprung up and said to Gao Yang, “Boss, you’re going to South Africa, right?

Then I’m going too.”

Cui Bo smacked his lips and said, “I was just saying it’s less interesting here than in South Africa; my attitude is firm, I’m definitely going to South Africa.”

Eileen raised her hand and shouted, “I want to go to South Africa, I’m going to South Africa!”

Tommy spoke leisurely, “I am Andre’s employee, and Andre was Grand Ivan’s employee, so since Andre has been good to me, no matter if he’s going to South Africa or not, I think I need to go to South Africa.”

Rafael stood up abruptly and loudly said, “You’re definitely gonna need me, I’m coming!”

Gao Yang frowned and said, “Don’t just butt in; you know you make this very difficult for me.

You’re forcing me not to help Uri, so go do what you need to do, don’t make things hard for me.”

Glolov shrugged at Gao Yang with an easy-going expression and said, “Gao, don’t flatter yourself, I’ve known Uri longer than you.”

Li Jinfang also made a face and said, “Brother Yang, from the way you talk, it’s as if we don’t know Uriyangko.

Don’t forget that we’re also close with him.”

Eileen laughed and said, “Sir, you just said we’re on vacation now, what we do is none of your business, right?

I’d like to take a trip to South Africa for fun; at most, I’ll just be traveling the same way as you.”

Gao Yang really felt troubled; he couldn’t just sit back and do nothing when Uriyangko was in trouble, but he didn’t want to drag the entire Satan Mercenary Corps down with him again either.

Maybe Glolov truly wanted to lend Uriyangko a hand, but as for Eileen, Frey, Rafael, they were definitely going because Gao Yang was going.

They wanted to help Gao Yang, not Uriyangko, and Gao Yang was clear about that, which is why he was troubled.

For Gao Yang, if he thought something should be done, he would just do it, regardless of what others thought, but what he wanted to do, others shouldn’t try to control either.

Gao Yang was both moved and frustrated because he could be his own master; whatever happened was his own decision.

But when others got involved, it was different.

Gao Yang was somewhat anxious and didn’t know what to say when Little Donnie, who hadn’t spoken yet, said, “Gao, I know what you’re thinking, and I know what’s troubling you, but have you considered one point?”

Gao Yang looked at Little Donnie and asked, “What are you trying to say?”

Little Donnie smiled and said, “The Satan Mercenary Corps is a rare kind of mercenary group, small in number, but very powerful in battle.

The most extraordinary thing is that the Corps is united, which is very hard to come by for mercenaries who trade their lives for money, don’t you think?”

Gao Yang frowned and said, “Why are you bringing this up?”

Little Donnie shrugged his shoulders and said, “Gao, as an agent, let me be frank with you, you’re really foolish, truly foolish.

In the eyes of most people, you really are a silly fool.

As the leader, none act like you do, clearly able to take a large share of the money for yourself, yet you distribute it among your subordinates.

You’re someone who values loyalty and isn’t greedy for money, which for a mercenary, is indeed a rare virtue, though it’s a virtue that might get you killed early.”

Gao Yang waved his hand and said, “What exactly are you trying to say?

Now is not the time for you to praise me, and besides, I don’t think your words are praise.

Foolish isn’t a nice word.”

Little Donnie sighed and said, “That’s right, foolish isn’t a nice word, but haven’t you noticed?

Because of your ‘foolishness’, a bunch of ‘foolish’ guys has gathered around you.”

Little Donnie pointed at the people inside the room and made a circle, loudly saying, “Gao, haven’t you realized?

Everyone here is as foolish as you are.

Because of your foolishness, they’re willing to be just as foolish.

They’re willing to risk their lives for you because they are the same kind of people as you.

If you were greedy, then all the people around you would be greedy.

If you were only thinking of yourself, they wouldn’t think much about you either.

But that’s not the case.

You think of them, and that’s why they’re willing to give their all for you.”

Gao Yang sighed and fell silent.

Little Donnie smiled and said, “That’s right, the Satan Mercenary Corps is a bunch of foolish guys.

In the eyes of those who come together for money and who would turn on each other over it, we are all fools.

But I believe that at least within the Satan Mercenary Corps, what we possess is a virtue.

We live and die together, not for the money, but for our brothers.

We are united because we share the same virtue.”

Gao Yang nodded and said, “I understand.”

Little Donnie looked around at the people in the room and smiled, “Here, nobody is a coward.

Indeed, we all covet money, but our greed is not our top priority.

Money is important, but people are more so.

If you’re earning money, we follow you to wealth.

If you’re meeting death, we accompany you to your fate, because we’re all a bunch of similarly foolish people.”

Eileen clapped her hands and said loudly, “What Little Donnie said is really good, that’s right, commander, do you think we could really watch you go to South Africa alone?”

Li Jinfang said loudly, “Well said!

Brother Yang, even Uriyangko, who is so greedy and afraid of death, is ready to risk his life for Grand Ivan.

Do you think we would be worse than him?”

Uriyangko, his face red with rage, bellowed, “Frog!

You bastard, clarify what you’re saying.

How am I greedy and afraid of death?

It’s true I’m greedy, but have I ever been afraid to die?

What won’t I dare to do for money?

You dare accuse me of being afraid to die?”

Li Jinfang slapped his head and said, “Right, I misspoke.

You really aren’t afraid to die for money.”

Birds of a feather flock together; this saying really wasn’t wrong.

The kind of person Gao Yang was determined the kind of people he would attract around him.

If one were of the sort to betray trust for profit, to take the money and run at the first sign of trouble, to shrink their neck at any danger, Gao Yang would never let them into the Satan Mercenary Corps.

And if such a person did somehow get into the Satan Mercenary Corps, Gao Yang would kick them out with his own foot.

Of course, everybody has their private desires, but whether one places loyalty first or self-interest first is uncertain.

The atmosphere is different, and so might be the actions of the same person.

If the leader can set an example, the rest will naturally follow.

So it has to be said, Gao Yang started things off well.

Little Donnie laughed heartily and said, “Enough of the hesitation.

I think I should go and bring your weapons to South Africa.

Also, do I need to get in touch with the plane?”

Gao Yang didn’t beat around the bush.

He waved his hand and said, “Good, no need for any more talk.

Things are urgent; we’ll move with the greatest speed.

Little Donnie, you set off right away and take our weapons to Cape Town.

Uri, do you find the plane, or should Little Donnie do it?”

Uriyangko was deeply moved.

Looking around at the members of the Satan Mercenary Corps, he said in a deep voice, “Thank you all.

Ivan and I will do our utmost not to let your effort be in vain.”

Gao Yang frowned and said, “What time is it to be saying this?

Cut the nonsense, and get to the point.”

Uriyangko nodded and said, “There’s no shortage of private planes in Dubai.

I will find a private flight to take us directly to Cape Town at the fastest speed.”

Just then, Frey said, “Boss, what about Bruce and Lucica?”

Gao Yang said urgently, “Just have Bruce stay here and heal up; let him enjoy a bit.

Have Lucica stay to look after him.

Don’t tell Lucica what we’re up to.

Never mind, I’ll go tell them.

Just say we’re going to Israel for training and that once Test Tube is healed, they can meet up with us there.

Just make sure no one slips up.”

At that moment, Uriyangko’s phone rang again.

He gestured for silence before answering.

After a few words, his face showed a look of great shock, followed by ecstatic joy.

After hanging up, Uriyangko said urgently, “This time, even if you hadn’t volunteered to go to South Africa, I would have begged you to go.

Grand Ivan might not really be dead, but kidnapped instead.

Now there’s too little information and it’s not very reliable, but I think there’s a real chance Grand Ivan is still alive.

I have to contact Ivan right away to tell him this news and then quickly find out more detailed information.”
