Chapter 1228: Chapter One Thousand Two Hundred Eleven: This is Bullying
Gao Yang was still holding Yelena’s hand, but he had shifted her from his right hand to his left hand. This way, it would be easier for him to exert force with his right leg.
The first batch of three people rushed at him, and Gao Yang swiftly lashed out with his legs. With two lightning-fast taps, he struck the shins of the two people charging in front. As those two fell face-first onto the ground, he followed up with another kick, striking the thigh of the third man charging toward him.
Three men dropped to the ground, making the space in front of Gao Yang impossible for anyone to stand. At least four or five more people made their way around him from the sides. Pulling Yelena back a step, Gao Yang launched another two kicks, knocking everyone in front of him to the ground again.
When it came to shooting, Gao Yang’s specialty was speed and accuracy. Now, in combat, his specialty still remained speed and accuracy.
When the Groin Kick struck, there was no debating; the opponent would crumple to the ground. However, using the Groin Kick required a balance—too slow wouldn’t work, and lack of precision was a deal-breaker too.
If Gao Yang were to stand next to Li Jinfang and compete over who could knock their respective opponents down faster, it’d be hard to say who’d come out on top. Li Jinfang excelled across all aspects, while Gao Yang had this one deadly move. But the point was, against Football hooligans, who were basically the dregs of society, there was no need to pull out extraordinary moves.
Using a perfected Groin Kick on Football hooligans—it’d just be bullying. Consequently, Gao Yang was very measured with his kicks, never leaving behind lasting injuries. At worst, they’d end up temporarily too sore to move, but in no time, they’d recover just fine.
Pescara’s fans were numerous and still pouring out steadily. However, they were completely unaware that Gao Yang was already holding back considerably. After rushing forward and getting kicked repeatedly, many of them saw their comrades sprawled all over the place, and one finally couldn’t take it anymore.
A bunch of people started hurling beer bottles at Gao Yang, and someone even lit a firework and tossed it toward him. Seeing the situation escalate, Rafael immediately raised his arm and bellowed, “Follow me!”
Gao Yang, pulling Yelena along, had no choice but to retreat a few steps, swatting aside a flying beer bottle. Just as Rafael was about to call for reinforcements, another large group of people surged forward toward his team. Chaos erupted as they clashed.
When large groups collided, the sheer number of Pescara fans caused even more chaos. Many couldn’t squeeze into the melee and remained on the outskirts. Meanwhile, Gao Yang—who held onto a beautiful woman and couldn’t be subdued—became an obvious target for everyone.
With a loud shout, at least dozens more people rushed toward Gao Yang. Fortunately, Gao Yang only needed to face the opponents coming straight at him while ensuring he wasn’t flanked from the sides. As for behind him, there was no real concern.
Gao Yang was having the time of his life.
In the past, Gao Yang had been a weakling in terms of fighting skills. Being physically strong by itself meant nothing when it came to fighting; he could manage in a one-on-one against ordinary people, but in a group rumble, he would inevitably get overwhelmed and beaten up.
The current Gao Yang, however, wasn’t the same man anymore. He was Kick Ram.
Ever since graduating from the tutelage of Li Jinfang, Gao Yang had mastered the art of fighting without getting hit. Building up strength over time and honing himself under Peter’s guidance in Syria, Gao Yang’s right leg was now at a master level.
Gao Yang had gone a long time without kicking anyone. Even though he had to control his power, the relentless stream of people charging at him to be kicked made the experience indescribably exhilarating.
Using a gun versus using fists and kicks—it was a completely different feeling. In all of his previous fights, Gao Yang had finished his opponents in a single move, with nearly no need for a second strike. Opportunities to unleash a flurry of kicks had been rare—that is, until now. Although he was still dispatching opponents with one kick each, the sheer number of enemies ensured he could keep kicking to his heart’s content.
Gao Yang started experimenting with flashy moves: a kick to the left, a kick to the right, a straight kick, a side kick, and even a spinning kick.
Despite the toll of high-speed kicking, Gao Yang didn’t feel tired at all. He was unleashing his full power, showing off in front of his girlfriend. Add to that, a huge crowd cheering him on, and there was no way fatigue could even cross his mind.
The Pescara fans were becoming increasingly desperate. Finally, one of them set their sights on Yelena as a target.
A person lunged at Yelena, swinging their fist toward her. Gao Yang responded instantly with a textbook Groin Kick. The assailant dropped instantly, but this shift in focus on Yelena set a dangerous precedent.
The crowd surged again, now targeting not just Gao Yang but Yelena as well.
If Gao Yang only had to take care of himself, handling the situation would be a breeze. However, protecting Yelena changed everything—his defensive zone practically doubled, and holding her hand limited his movements considerably.
The easy solution would be to let go of Yelena’s hand and shield her behind him. But could Gao Yang make that choice?
He had made bold declarations in front of his beloved; failing to deliver halfway through would simply be unacceptable. Gao Yang would never allow such a scenario.
Pressure breeds strength; strength fuels potential.
Under the mounting tension, Gao Yang stepped up his game. He entered full-on beast mode, just a step away from shouting “Kick Ram transformation!”
While pulling Yelena back, Gao Yang unleashed rapid-fire kicks with both legs. Any attack aimed at him was countered with ruthless precision, while anyone targeting Yelena received the “special treatment.”
Yelena showed no fear whatsoever, instead clutching Gao Yang’s hand tightly. As he dragged her backward, she had the leisure to gaze lovingly at Gao Yang’s face, utterly entranced.
Gao Yang had lost track of the number of kicks he had delivered. Behind him lay a road littered with fallen bodies. Some struggled upright, while many more clutched their crotches and groaned in agony.
Suddenly, Gao Yang’s peripheral vision picked up a figure brandishing something shiny. The person’s head was lowered as they charged at Yelena with the weapon. Gao Yang responded instantly: one kick to their waist, followed by a direct kick to their chest. For the first time, Gao Yang had to kick someone twice.
Just as Gao Yang was preparing to unleash another kick, he realized all of a sudden that there was no one left in front of him. Not a single opponent remained.
Standing there, panting heavily, Gao Yang noticed the silence—no one was attacking anymore. All eyes were fixed on him in astonishment.
Yelena reached out and wiped the sweat off Gao Yang’s forehead. When Gao Yang turned to look at Yelena and gave her a slight smile, he noticed her face had turned crimson, as though intoxicated.
The previously thunderous shouts had vanished, leaving the area eerily quiet. Only the occasional groans of the injured punctuated the stillness. After about ten seconds of this silence, someone suddenly yelled, “Police!”
Gao Yang spun around and saw the street corner behind him already sealed off by a large number of approaching police officers. The opposite end of the street was similarly blocked by another wave of cops.
At the shout of “Police,” the crowd erupted into chaos. The previously aggressive football fans scattered in all directions. At this moment, Filet pointed toward Gao Yang and Yelena, shouting, “Cover their escape! Don’t let the cops capture those two! Let’s go!”
The two groups that were previously tangled in battle immediately split apart. One group charged toward Gao Yang and Yelena, forming a protective shield. Together, they surged toward the police barricades.
