Mated To The Dead Prince -
Chapter 36
Chapter 36: Chapter 36
Rose cried louder with each piece of clothing the demon man tore away from her body.
His strength easily subdued hers, his yellow eyes glowed maliciously and scales were starting to cover a part of his face.
Rose struggled to release her wrists that were pinned down painfully above her head all her efforts were like pouring water on stone.
"Let me go! Let me - Argh!!!" Rose stopped screaming and started choking, tears streaming down from the side of her eyes.
Theme demon had his hand on her neck, pressing her neck down to the bed in a very painful manner.
Rose was mortified as she saw the demon man lowering his face to hers; she didn’t know if she was repulsed by his ugly scales or by the fact that she now lay almost naked in front of a beast if not for the shredded material covering her lower part.
"No...P-please, stay away..." she choked out.
The demon man released a sound that sounded like a guttural growl and a sinister hiss at the same time.
"Be quiet, you human!" He growled.
Rose opened her mouth to reply but she ended up screaming from the stinging pain she felt from the sudden slap on her cheek.
"Shut up! Humans deserve to be punished, just like the slave and bitch they are!" He snarled.
He looked down at her lap and frowned when he saw that there was still a material covering her lower body.
"Now, let me treat you exactly how you’re supposed to be treated," He pressed harder on her neck one last time, removed his hand from her neck, and hooked his nail under her dress.
Rose shook her head, crying hoarsely and begging.
The demon man had torn off half of the material, exposing the side of her thigh.
"No! Stop! I belong to the Dark Master! I belong to Cassius!" She screamed so loud that the people fucking downstairs could probably have heard her declaration.
The demon man paused for a second but suddenly looked angry, "You lowly human, you think you say the master’s name however you like?" He raises his hand above her, his black nails glistening under the light.
Rose screamed and closed her eyes, "No! No!!" She turned her face to the side in an attempt to protect her face.
Rose accepted her fate; maybe she wasn’t the main character in the story, but the novel she read never mentioned the main character facing that kind of life-threatening situation. Maybe she was living the life of those extra characters that were usually mentioned once in the whole story.
The moment Rose thought she was going to feel her skin get torn apart, she suddenly felt a weight lifted off her, followed by the sound of something smashing and breaking against the wall.
Rose’s wrists were freed, she quickly opened her eyes and sat up in bed, using her hands to cover her chest.
The moment her eyes landed in front of her, she gasped, almost passing out.
Cassius stood menacingly at the foot of the bed, the scaling head of the demon man dripping bluish blood as he held it up by the hair.
Rose felt her stomach churning; she wanted to barf at the disturbing sight.
Cassius threw the head away, watching it roll near the body that was still spurting the blueish blood out of the torn neck.
He turned his red eyes to her and scanned her all over, he slowly started to walk toward her on the bed.
Rose was panting, her pulse racing wildly, "Cassius..." She whispered.
Cassius went to the side of the bed and stretched out his hand to her, "Come here little human," he commanded dangerously.
Rose was shaking like a leaf, but she now knew she preferred this monster to the ones outside this dark world. She raised her shaky hand and placed it on Cassius’ cold one.
He gently helped her out of the bed, his eyes scanning her body.
The moment Rose’s feet touched the floor, her knees gave out and she fell into Cassius’ arms.
Cassius held her tightly; he removed the cloak he was wearing and wrapped it around her body; wrapping his arms around her, he drew her against his body.
"Just now, who did you say you belonged to?" Cassius’ voice was low and husky, his breath fanning Rose’s red cheeks.
Rose was still shivering, all she wanted was to leave that place, her lips quivered as she looked up at him, it saying a word, she was too shocked to speak, she almost got raped by an ugly-looking demon, how Cassius appeared to rescue her on time was something she didn’t understand but was grateful for.
Cassius saw that Rose’s eyes locked empty for the first time he’d known her; he understood that this must have affected her deeply, so he decided to take her out of that place and carry on their conversation in his castle.
"You have to hold me tightly, little human, we’re teleporting back to the castle," He whispered.
He held her hands and wrapped them around his shoulders, then placed them on her waist.
Rose shut her eyes, recalling she felt a little dizzy when he did the same thing the last time he took them to the Dark forest.
Before, her head felt extremely light, as if she was made of paper. She felt Cassius’ lips on her temple, and everything went dark after that.

Rose suddenly felt her body again, and she realized that her feet weren’t touching the floor. She was in Cassius’ arms as he carried her down to Felonious’ lair.
She didn’t realize when she released a breath of relief she never thought she would ever be so happy to be back in the blood castle, a place she hated so much, yet she was glad she was back; truly, the outside world was more dangerous.
The door immediately opened and let them in; Felonious had long sensed Cassius’ presence and was ready to receive him.
"Master," Felonious bowed his head as he stood at the center of the room.
Cassius simply nodded and went over to the tall stool. He lowered Rose to her feet, held her shoulder, and made her sit on the stool.
Rose slowly looked around the familiar room; she was sitting on the same stool she had sat on the first day Felonious brought her in there.
This time, he had candles of different colors arranged on the floor and tables; he had something in a transparent container boiling quietly on the table in front of his shelf.
"Can you speak now?" Cassius stood in front of Rose, raising her chin to look at her face.
Rose slowly nodded, "Yes," She whispered.
"Then answer my question, who did you say you belonged to?" He questioned again.
Rose gulped, she held the cloak tightly around her body. She blinked slowly and parted her dry lips to answer him, "I said I belong to you... as your slave," She said, looking away from him.
Cassius frowned and looked over at Felonious, "Does she speak the truth? Her words summoned me, and she only says she meant up as a slave?" He asked.
Rose looked at Felonious and saw how staring into her soul. She knew he could see past her lies; she only hoped he wouldn’t call her out.
"That’s not true, Master," Felonious replied.
Nope! He did call her out. Damn it.
Rose lowered her head to the ground when Cassius snapped his head back at her.
He moved closer to her and placed a hand on her shoulder; he stared at her head and released a humorless, dangerous chuckle.
"You do want me as your mate, little human, am I correct?" He moved his hand up to her neck, frowning when he felt the handprint of the demon man on her neck. His frown deepened, and he wished he could kill the demon man all over again; he dared to lay hands on his woman.
Rose refused to respond; all she wanted to do was go to her meager room and curl herself up to sleep.
"Answer me, little human. The least you could do is show appreciation for my help," Cassius said.
Rose finally raised her head and stared at him, "It was you who put me in that situation in the first place," She but out, anger suddenly starting to boil within her.
Felonious looked scared, wondering if Rose had any functional brain cells at all; if not, why would she still be speaking to Cassius that way even after he saved her?
He knew Cassius wasn’t in a good mood and he wasn’t going to go easy on Rose. However, his words surprised him.
"You’re wrong, it’s your fault, little human, if you had been a good slave and apologized, I wouldn’t have sent you there, I wanted you to understand how the outside world worked, in case you’re still planning on running away from me," Cassius traced a finger across the side of her face.
Felonious was dumbstruck; why did it feel as if Cassius was bantering with Rose, a human, a slave?
"Then you shouldn’t have saved me," Rose stood from through stool and glared at Cassius.
Cassius shook his head, drawing her into himself, "No, no one touches what’s mine," he whispered in her ear.
