Mated To The Dead Prince -
Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Chapter 27
Rose gripped the tray tightly and looked away from Cassius.
His red eyes slowly receded and turned green again.
She wasn’t comfortable standing defenseless in his room, she wanted to leave.
"If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave...sir," Roae bowed her head, summoned her courage, and walked toward the door.
Her heart was beating loudly as she approached him, but she was determined to leave the room and, hopefully, still find the Elves in the dark stairs; if not, she’d just be left to wander in a dark and unknown location.
She faced down as she stepped past him, silently rejoicing that he didn’t stop her and hastened her footsteps, and soon stood in front of the door.
She transferred the tray and jug to one hand and pulled the door with her free hand.
Nothing.
She blinked and tried again, harder this time, maybe she hadn’t pulled hard enough the last time.
Still nothing.
She gulped, realizing that she’d been locked in with Cassius.
Soon, she heard his footsteps slowly coming g up behind her; goosebumps rose on her skin, causing her to shiver from fear and an unknown excitement.
"You seem to forget your role, Slave..." Cassius hissed behind her.
He paused right behind her, staring at her slim neck.
Rose bit her lips, she stared at the door handle with betrayed eyes.
"Do I need to remind you of your role?" Cassius asked, raising his hand and placing it on the side of Rose’s neck.
Rose shivered.
She was trying her best to suppress the images from her dream as she felt Cassius’ hand on her skin, she was starting to breathe heavily as those images flooded her head.
"You leave only when I ask you to leave, my little human," Cassius whispered close to her neck, closing his eyes to fight his fangs from shooting out.
He placed his other hand on her waist and slowly turned her around to face him.
Rose kept her face to the floor as she faced Cassius; she wasn’t ready to look into those sexy, dark, and mysterious eyes; she was fighting that unexplainable attraction she felt for this vampire.
"Look at me," Cassius commanded.
Rose bit her lip as she slowly raised her face to his, staring into these hypnotic eyes.
Cassius’ eyes immediately landed on her lips, his eyes glowing red when he saw her bite it.
"Rose..." He called in a husky tone, his arm tightening around her waist as he drew her closer to himself.
Rose shivered and gasped when she heard the little cling sounds of her tray and jug falling off her hand.
She never knew that Cassius calling her by her name would be so erotic, his voice was just the perfect tone for her name.
The way it rolled out smoothly yet gruffly from his lips made her insides twist deliciously
"Ca...sir...do you need me to do something for you?" She asked, sounding and looking hypnotized.
She almost called him by his name, but she was thankful that she still had an ounce of control over her body.
Cassius heard her question and smirked down at her, "I have a lot of things I want you to do for me," He replied sexily, his hand on her waist moving down her ass slow and seductively.
Rose was panting now, she could see his eyes switching colors, and it could only mean two things for a vampire, they were hungry or horny...she was thinking the latter because he’d just fed.
"What if it’s not the latter? Would you let me drink from you?" He whispered in her ear.
Rose gulped; she kept forgetting that Cassius could rely on her mind. Wait? Does it mean...
"Answer me, little human, what if I want to drink from you, would you let me?" He asked.
Rose knew he was asking for real. Vampires never drank from anyone who didn’t permit them, except the rogues, but any well-bred vampire never drinks without his prey’s consent.
Rose didn’t know how to answer; if she answered him now, it would be her hormones speaking and not her brain; she didn’t want to put herself in a compromising situation.
"You know vampires are at their peak after a deep sleep, yet you little human had the guts to waltz into my room; tell me, what were you expecting from me..." He lowered his face to her neck and kissed her racing pulse.
Rose gasped and placed her hands on his chest, trying to push him away, "N-nothing, I was just bringing you some flowers..." She managed to breathe out her reply as Cassius kept kissing her neck.
"Sir, please let me go..." She whispered.
"Let you go?" He asked below her jaw.
"Why are you tempting me, Rose?" He raised his hand to her face, caressing her cheek, "Your blood smells so good, so delicious...yet, it burns me..." He finished and suddenly kissed her jaw.
"Why does your blood burn?" He asked gently.
Rose shook her head, "I-I don’t know," she replied.
He stepped away from her and stared intently at her, he was trying to decipher who and what she was. He’d never heard of a human-like her, and he could not wait for Felonious to tell him what he’d found out about her blood.
There was tension in the air as both of them stared at themselves; the chemistry was palpable, and they could each feel the invisible magnet drawing them together.
Rose thought she had felt so attracted to Elliot, but Cassius came along and showed her what real attraction was. She didn’t know how to control herself and she always felt like she was losing herself each time he was beside her.
She’s never laid her eyes on any human or creature so divine and handsome as Cassius.
However, they were enemies, and even if they weren’t, they could never be together; only pure blood could mate with pure blood, and she wasn’t; she was not ready to lose her humanity either.
All around, there was no way for them to be together. She didn’t even want to be together with him; she was just attracted to him because all vampires were hot, and she still hated him.
"Set my bath," Cassius ordered and started to remove his silk robe in front of her.
Rose saw what he was doing and quickly removed his eyes from him.
"Um, where is the bathroom?" She questioned.
Cassius didn’t reply, he walked back to her and held her hand.
"You don’t have to look away from my body, Rose...I want you to master it, so it’d be easy for you to pleasure it," He whispered.
"Just like I’d do yours..." He held her gaze as he traced his hand from her face, to her neck, then down to her chest as.
"Mmm..." Rose let a very soft moan escape her lips when she felt Cassius’ hand cup one of her breasts through her dress.
Why was this feeling so good?
Cassius hadn’t had any woman in centuries, and feeling Rose’s perky, soft, and bouncy breast was threatening to make him feral.
But he swore never to lay with a human, they were below him. However, he felt his body ready to break his own rule, and he felt an urgent passion and desire to clone his whole being.
He stepped closer and whispered in her ear, "It would feel better with your clothes off, Rose..." He removed his hand from her chest and led her toward his bed.
Rose’s tummy was tightening in anxiety and desire.
She thought Cassius was leading her to his king-sized bed but was surprised to see him lead her past it and to a darker corner of the room.
That was when Rose noticed that there was another door. She had missed it because, firstly, she wasn’t paying attention, and secondly, it was just as dark-colored as every other thing in that room.
Cassius gently pushed the door open and led rose into the dimly lit room.
Rose let Cassius lead her into the room and she immediately realized that it was his bathroom.
Did he mean she was going to watch him bathe?
The walls were adorned in rich, dark wood paneling, and the air was filled with a sweet-smelling fragrance that Rose couldn’t identify.
"Wash your hands," Cassius led Rose to a marble sink.
"Um..." Rose muttered to herself as she stood in front of the huge sink.
She turned on the faucet, which looked like a serpent’s head; water rushed out from its mouth that looked like it had opened in a silent scream.
She bit her lips and shivered from how cold the water felt. She had thought the water she used to bathe that morning was cold, but this one was frosty.
She quickly washed her hands and turned off the faucet, stepping away from the dark, marbled sink.
"Come here..." Cassius’ voice called from a deeper part of the huge bathroom.
Rose held her hand together in front of her and slowly turned to him, she started to walk toward him, staring at the walk-in shower that dominated one part of the wall. The walls and floor were made of polished black granite.
She raised her head and gazed at the bat-shaped shower head, marveling at how something so gothic could be so beautiful.
She finally reached Cassius, who had silently been observing her; he was standing next to an antique-styled bathtub that sat on a raised dais.
The bathtub was surrounded by candles that cast flickering shadows on the granite walls.
The tub itself was adorned with ancient carvings of unknown mystical runes and creatures.
"Eyes on me, Rose... that’s the only thing you’ll get to look at in here," He stood in front of her, the candle Chandelier above casting its light on them and making the place look like a vampire’s hallow.
Cassius placed his hand on her shoulder and seductively ran his hand down her arm.
"My bath..." He whispered to her.
Rose blinked and immediately turned to look at the bath and was glad to find a faucet above it.
She was lucky Elliot had taken it upon himself to bring civilization to their kingdom, if not, she would have labored herself by filling the bathtub with water from a bucket.
She moved closer to the bathtub and turned on the faucet and water gushed out from it, filling the silent bathroom with its soothing gurgling sound.
She straightened up as the water started to fill the bathtub. She thought vampires didn’t shower, but she’d been proven wrong.
Rose suddenly gasped when she felt Cassius’ hands on her waist.
"It’s time to relieve your dream, little human," He whispered huskily against her neck.
Rose’s heart thudded loudly; how did he know about her dream, her cheeks were in flames.
He turned her to face him and looked into her beautiful blue eyes, "It’s going to be better than your dreams, Rose," Cassius searched her face.
"I didn’t have any d-"
"Don’t lie to me, little human, I hear your thoughts...and I hear your body like I hear the blood pumping rapidly to your clit," His voice was deeper and huskier.
Rose gasped and bit her lips, her eyes turned misty from how hot and needy she was feeling.
Cassius was a Demon; he knew how to tune her body up.
"Cassius..." Rose whispered, feeling like a foreigner in her own body.
Cassius’ eyes glowed an intense red as he snatched her into his arms.
"I dare you to say it, little human, say my name again," his words were charged with dark promise of what he was going to do to Rose’s body.
