Chapter 636: Make Him Kill Islinda

"Take the little human and confine her to her quarters."

"What?" Islinda’s head jerked up, unable to believe him.

"Don’t worry, little human. I’m only keeping you under my sight and ensuring you don’t have any other tricks up your sleeve considering you’re a big suspect." He claimed.

"No, no, no, please don’t...." Islinda protested.

She intended to investigate Elena and couldn’t do that while being locked up. Not to mention, who knows what Elena would do this time in her absence. What if he gets Aldric to really kill her?

At once, Islinda grabbed his arm, "I want to be with you. Don’t send me away, Aldric." She cried out.

Islinda didn’t care if she would be seen as desperate. No, she was desperate to snap Aldric out of whatever charm he’s under. Things were really critical right now and she was in danger with Elena’s growing influence over Aldric

Aldric was not moved by her request and commanded, "Kalam." He instructed him on what to do with just a mere tilt of his head in Islinda’s direction.

Kalamazoo understood the gesture and started heading towards Islinda who sensed what was about to happen and dread fell over her.

"No, don’t!" Islinda’s warning rang out, her voice laced with urgency as she watched Kalamazoo approach them. Approaching to take her.

"I’m not going anywhere with you!" Islinda declared, her resolve unwavering as she wrapped her legs around Aldric and her arms around his neck, clinging to him like an octopus.

Their position on the floor seemed to work in Islinda’s favor, allowing her to press herself tightly against Aldric, her thighs gripping him firmly.

As Kalamazoo reached them, he hesitated, unsure of how to proceed. Islinda’s body was tightly pressed against Aldric’s, leaving little room for Kalamazoo to intervene without risking an inappropriate touch.

He hovered uncertainly, his hand poised awkwardly in the air as he struggled to find a suitable approach to pull Islinda away without offending Aldric or making the situation worse. Even though Aldric’s behavior has been confusing these past few days, Kalam knew how much Islinda meant to the dark Fae prince.

Islinda’s firm grip on Aldric made it clear that she had no intention of being separated from him. It was either Aldric forget about sending her away or Kalam would have to fight and knock her out before she would let go of Aldric. Kalam was finally able to spot an opening and grabbed Islinda.

But Islinda had been prepared and gritted her teeth hard, hanging onto Aldric. More like suffocating him. When it became clear to Aldric that Islinda would kill him before Kalamazoo took her, he had no choice but to signal Kalamazoo to stop.

"Just let her go please. At this rate, I might die before my time." Aldric coughed.

The little human fought like a wild cat... Aldric paused, a strange sense of déjà vu washing over him. Where had he heard that phrase before? Try as he might, he couldn’t quite place it. His memories felt clouded, as if shrouded in mist, and he couldn’t shake off the sensation of lethargy that seemed to weigh him down whenever he tried to remember. Eventually, he gave up trying to recall and pushed the thought aside.

He sighed, meeting Islinda’s gaze head-on. Her eyes reflected a fierce determination, and her lips were pressed tightly together. There was a captivating allure to her, a blend of innocence and danger that both intrigued him. The intensity in her gaze reminded him of the ferocity of a cat—cute, yet possessively dangerous.

Without a word, Aldric began to race to his feet with Islinda still hanging onto his body. With a downright knowingly evil smile, he reached behind him and began to pry her fingers off his neck one by one.

"Uh no, don’t... stop it Aldric .....!" Islinda was bewildered at his betrayal, not believing her eyes. She tried to latch back onto him like a leech, but Aldric was prepared for her. He handed her over to Kalamazoo who grabbed her hands first before Aldric let go of her strong legs wrapped around him.

"No...!" Islinda’s desperate wail echoed through the hall as Kalamazoo hoisted her over his shoulder like a bag of grain, her struggles futile against his strength. Betrayal surged through her veins like wildfire. How could Aldric do this to her after all they had been through?

"Aldric!" She screamed as Kalamazoo began to take her away, "Aldric, you are making a mistake here! You can’t confine me, you need to let me go! I need to save you from Elena! You can’t trust her! She has you under a witch spell!" She made a desperate effort to get to him, her words echoing across the hall and reaching everyone’s ears.

Elena composed herself even though she was seething with anger and wanted to shut that bitch’s mouth forever. She was trying to ruin her plans. Rumors were easy to fly around and pose a problem. She didn’t want anyone intervening in her plans on the suspicion that Aldric was under a spell until it was over.

With Aldric’s unwavering power at her disposal, Elena knew she had to reinforce her control over him. He needed to be her puppet, devoid of any independent thought.

When she was certain no one was watching, Elena discreetly extended her hand behind her back, weaving a spell with practiced precision. Her voice barely rose above a whisper as she directed the magic towards Islinda, the invisible tendrils of the spell swiftly finding their mark and striking her directly in the face.

Islinda’s eyes widened with dread as she realized she couldn’t speak anymore. She attempted to shout in terror, but her cries were muffled, and Kalamazoo seemed unperturbed, solely focused on escorting her back to her room.

Once Islinda was gone, Elena’s demeanor became relaxed, though her expression remained stoic as she issued orders to the battalion of soldiers lingering in the room. "You can leave now," she commanded, her tone firm and authoritative.

The soldiers wasted no time in departing, eager to escape before Aldric’s mood shifted and they faced potential repercussions.

"How was she? Just as I described, right? I told you I am the only one you should trust, Aldric," Elena remarked confidently, seeking validation from Aldric.

Aldric’s response was nonchalant, his tone casual despite the gravity of the situation. "Indeed, she is," he drawled, his words lacking the venom Elena had anticipated.

Concerned by Aldric’s apparent indifference, Elena took swift action, moving closer to Aldric and blowing the substance in his face once more.

Elena didn’t care. She would do it over a hundred times until she manipulated Aldric and convinced him to kill Islinda with his own hands.

The only problem was, time was running out.
