Mated To The Cruel Prince
Chapter 279: Open Your Mouth, Princess

Chapter 279: Open Your Mouth, Princess

"What took you so long? I was beginning to think that you were having breakfast without me." Aldric said to her as soon as she came in with the tray of food.

"Sorry about that, I got carried away while in the kitchen getting our breakfast?" Islinda apologized, carrying the tray to the bed since it was the only spacious place to have a meal together. Her study table was small and did not fit the dark Fae prince, who seemed to have settled on that spot without saying it.

Islinda was conscious of Aldric’s intense gaze on her as she lowered the tray onto the bed and in her haste to be done, nearly turned over a plate of hot soup. Aldric reached out with lightning speed, steadying the plate before it could pour, shifting his eyes to her.

"This is why I have servants for menial works like this. I didn’t bring you here to be a slave, princess."

Islinda paused, then looked at him with a frown, "What do you mean by you brought me here? Aldric was the one who dragged me here, not you."

His lips twisted, "I told you already, Princess, Aldric and I are the same. I’m just a piece of his splintered mind manifesting. I have been there all this while. Just as he is here with us right now. He just can’t communicate. "

"Wait a minute," Islinda lifted a hand to silence him, "Are you trying to say that you manifested in the human realm?"

His sardonic smirk deepened, "Well, yes, princess. Who do you think kicked you to the ground, each time you returned home at night smelling like Valerie."

Islinda’s jaw dropped to the ground. By the gods, she must have destroyed a country in her past life to be bestowed this kind of fate. Islinda was just so shocked by his confession that her mouth opened and closed helplessly, unable to mutter a single word.

"You!" She glared at him, "You are Eli?"

He looked at her, intrigued, "Is that what you wish to call me princess? Thinking about it..." The dark Fae prince stroked his chin, "I think it’s high time that my own identity is recognized. You see, we are not one and the same all the time. Our temperance still varies." He shamelessly said after pointing out minutes ago he was one with his host.

"Eli," The dark prince pronounced, tasting the name on his lips, "I think I like it. You can call me that from now on, princess. Aldric, the grumpy bastard can have his name all to himself. I already have one specially given by you. Isn’t that so big sister?" He glanced up at her with that sparkle in his eyes and enthusiasm that was creeping akin to the Eli she had known in the human realm. A child that had been nothing but his own making.

"Oh, right," Eli realized his mistake at the last minute, "I cannot call you big sister, anymore, isn’t that so princess? After all, siblings don’t do what we do, right? That would be an abomination." He grinned at her devilishly.

One thing dawned on Islinda at that moment. Whether Aldric or Eli, they were the same person and held the darkness of the soul in equal proportion. The only difference was that while the other held his corruption at bay and expressed his feelings with ease, the other wore his corruption like a second skin and detested emotions.

At this point, Islinda made up her mind not to fight him anymore. She would be the one to lose anyway, he has proven that times without numbers. It was all but a little time and this will be over. So she would hang in there.

"Fine, whatever you say, Eli."

She nodded her head, attempting to sit across from him only to be questioned, "What are you doing?"

"To eat. Why? Is there something wrong"

"Feed me."

"What?!"

"You have the energy to do work that doesn’t concern you. Since you want to play the role of a servant, why not see it to the end, princess." He beckoned her, "Come on now, feed your prince."

"You can’t be...." Islinda wanted to protest, but Aldric, or Eli, was always serious. "Fine." She gave in without a fight.

Eli scooted over, tapping the space beside him, "Come on, princess, I don’t bite," His lips pulled back, revealing fangs, "Unless you want me to."

A shiver traveled down Islinda’s spine at his menacing features and she did not waste a second, moving to his side. Her heart was racing fast in her chest, and wouldn’t calm down. Islinda had to take long, deep breaths and assure herself he wouldn’t harm her.

Islinda took the spoon and began to feed him, starting with the porridge. Fae’s were vegetarians and it was not hard to identify her own specially prepared meals among his. She had expected the Fae to have an ulterior motive for asking her to feed him, but nothing of such nature happened. Eli was oddly behaved.

"I’m full." He announced after a while and Islinda let out the breath that she had been holding in. She was done with him and could eat her food in peace. Or so she thought.

"Now, it’s my turn to feed you."

"What?!" She shouted, shocked.

He said, "It’s only right that I feed my princess after she fed me."

"Haha," Islinda laughed nervously, "You don’t need to worry about this princess, she has her hands to do so."

She attempted to swiftly move away only for Eli to grab and lift her from the spot. He draped her across his thighs, leaving her no choice but to anchor herself with an arm across his shoulder.

Eli gave her a dazzling smile," Princess, you sure know how to find the best position."

Perhaps it was his ambiguous words or the rather intimate position, but Islinda was ready to flee. This was too much for her. This Fae was a master of seduction. Sadly, his arm was wrapped around her waist like a strong bind, stopping her from escaping.

"Now princess, open that mouth for me."
