Chapter 212: Let’s Be Honest

Islinda was horny.

And it was all thanks to a certain Fae. She shouldn’t have taken up his offer, but it was either kissing him or sleeping all alone in her scary room. She had thought of going to the staff quarters and perhaps, spending a night with Rosalind, but she wasn’t that close enough with the Fae to have a sleepover.

Moreover, her behavior would seem odd and Rosalind and the others would be sure to ask questions. Islinda had no idea how serious of an offense Valerie’s actions were, she simply did not want to recall the details. It made her uncomfortable. She couldn’t sleep with her great friend, Maxi either. The stable was not an ideal sleeping arena.

Nor could she go to Issac. No, the thought alone was awkward and didn’t want to cause any problems or misunderstandings between her and Maxi. It was not proper, even if Maxi agreed to it. How would she feel if Rosalind were to share a bed with Valerie? No, Islinda couldn’t imagine it happening.

In one word, Aldric was the best and worst option.

And now, she had a wet and aching core to thank him for. Aldric was not the only one that needed to calm down, she needed relief as well. Perhaps, she should have just let him finish the work.

No!

Islinda rejected the abhorrent thought. What in the Fae was she thinking? Kissing Aldric because she had no choice was one thing, but intentionally going further than that, would be on her. No blame. Nothing. Purely her fault.

She couldn’t let herself get carried by Aldric’s devilish beauty and charm because he was still a monster beneath the good looks. She can’t forget that ever! Aldric doesn’t care about her, she was just leveraged over Valerie. All his kind acts were not sincere, it was just him taking care of his bargaining chip.

Islinda recalled Aldric’s vicious nature, and thanks to that reminder, was able to overcome her state of arousal. It was nice to know that her self-control was still intact and to prevent a "mistake" from happening, she had to put certain measures in place.

Thus, this was how she went to Aldric’s wardrobe and pulled out every single cloth in there, dumping it on the bed till it formed a pile. Then she set to work and used it to demarcate the bed into two. That way, the both of them could stick to their sides and thankfully, the bed was large enough so Aldric couldn’t claim the space was too small. She had even limited her own space for his sake. There would be no excuses this time.

Aldric walked in on her making the finishing touches on the bed and exclaimed, "What in the Fae, Islinda?" He gestured to his empty wardrobe before his gaze landed on the bed, taking in her handwork.

Islinda turned to him, "You’re back." She followed his gaze and looked to the bed, "Don’t worry, I’ll personally see to it that your clothes are properly arranged and returned to the wardrobe." She promised him.

"What’s the meaning of this?" He asked, his gaze fixed on hers with an intensity that made her heart skip a beat and she wanted to hide away from his sight.

However, Islinda composed herself and said with her head lifted high, "It’s to prevent another mistake from happening," She smiled reassuringly at him, "Also, I saved the biggest space for you."

However, Aldric did not listen to the rest of her words, picking her earliest words instead, "Really? A mistake?" He scoffed, his face suddenly darkening, "Is that what you think of the kiss?"

Islinda swallowed feeling uncomfortable with the sudden tension in the room, as shadows began to wrap around Aldric and he moved towards her with threatening strides.

"No, you misunderstood me, Aldric, that is not what I -" Islinda could not finish the rest of her words because Aldric appeared in front of her and pushed her so she fell back on the bed with a shriek. She tried to scurry up to her feet but Aldric followed after and pinned her to the bed with his huge body.

No way!

They can’t have a repeat of earlier! Thus she gripped Aldric’s shoulder in an attempt to push him away but she should have learned by now that the Fae was an impregnable wall. She failed woefully.

He grabbed her hand and realizing his intention, the both of them struggled but she was not his match and he ended up pinning her hands above her. Even at that, she struggled and struggled until she couldn’t anymore.

"What is the meaning of this, Aldric?!" She asked, glaring at him.

"What do you think it is?" He sneered, "You claim that the kiss is a mistake and I’m determined to clear the impression."

"And I told you..." She struggled again, "That’s it’s all a misunderstanding. I merely divided the bed so we could prevent situations like this one from happening!" Islinda yelled at him.

But even with her explanation, Aldric did not relent one bit, he said, "I think it’s time we be honest here, Islinda."

"If anyone is being dishonest and a maniac right now, it’s definitely you, Aldric. Now let me go!"

Aldric’s temperance seemed to break thanks to her stubbornness and he grabbed her legs, yanking them apart and causing her eyes to go wide. Before she had the chance to kick him away, he situated his hips between her thighs.

"Aldric!" Islinda groaned his name with frustration, "What do you think you’re doing? You promised you wouldn’t touch me if I didn’t want to."

He laughed at her, "But then, you want me to, don’t you, Islinda? Otherwise, you wouldn’t have divided the bed into two. "Aldric drew closer till their chests were flush and their gaze met and held as he continued, "It’s all because you thought about it and you’re too afraid and scared of going through with it so this is your pathetic defense against me."

His eyes gleamed with lust, his voice low and raspy as he spoke in her face, "But if we are, to be honest here, Islinda, you want me to push and prod you, you like it that much, don’t you? Aldric, the Fae who doesn’t take no for an answer. You would rather want me to force you into it, so you could easily blame me for your shortcomings. A momentary lapse in judgment, you would probably call it, and feel no guilt. Isn’t it?" He demanded an answer.

Islinda gave him a stoic look," I have no idea what you’re talking about. " She answered coldly, a tick in her jaw.

Aldric was taken aback by the answer, giving her a long look as if unable to believe the words were from her.

However, his eyes brightened with challenge and his lips curled up, "Good. I’ll get the answers my way then."
