Chapter 791: Chapter 531: Grandpa Jing is finally getting married (Third update)_1

Ren Laifeng unconsciously shivered; these words, they were really unnecessary.

Even though Mu Lin appeared weak, she was known to be fierce and wild. Since she claimed to have taken care of it, he no longer needed to ask about it.

Both husband and wife were equally terrifying.

However, he felt that the person Mu Lin referred to...got what they deserved.

He wondered how many people had died from this game. He held a pile of information, indicating at least two dozen deaths. That was two dozen families! Not to mention the other unreported cases and those currently playing the game.

Additionally, even though Mu Lin could sometimes be cruel, she wouldn’t hurt someone heavily if they hadn’t provoked her horribly.

Having interacted with her only a few times, Ren Laifeng still felt he understood Mu Lin’s temperament to some extent.

"In fact, there have been several incidents of suicide caused by this game recently," pausing, Ren Laifeng continued without concealing anything: "Among the victims, there was even a ten-year-old child." A child of ten, whose life had barely begun, had already lost their life.

This issue had already caught the attention of the higher authorities in Ming City; so, his pressure had increased recently.

"Seems like we delivered help just when it was needed most." Mu Lin laughingly said, hearing Ren Laifeng’s words, "Tell us, how you’re going to show your gratitude. Especially to my little sister. After all, she was the one who found all this information for me." This was said in jest.

Ren Laifeng laughed, "Alright, I’ll treat you to a meal, and I’ll cover all your expenses for the days you spend here." Tapping his wallet, he wasn’t sure if he had enough. Catering to Mu Lin required top standards, and his salary wasn’t that high.

"Sounds good." Hearing this, Gong Yu laughed, "I’ll get a good feast out of you."

Gong Yu felt like Ren Laifeng didn’t quite possess a director’s temper; although, compared to their sister’s viewing, even their brother-in-law had none, let alone others.

Gong Yu found out later that Jing Chen’s position in the military was surprisingly high.

It was absolutely striking. No wonder he commanded such a strong presence.

Gong Yu expressed

"By the way, sister-in-law, how long are you planning to stay here?" Ren Laifeng suddenly asked.

Mu Lin: "Do you need something from us?"

"Not really, was just asking." Ren Laifeng instinctively scratched his head; he wanted to seek Mu Lin’s help, but he couldn’t muster up the courage to ask.

On second thought, he decided to let it go. After all, Mu Lin had already done so much.

Looking at Ren Laifeng, Mu Lin said: "We’ll probably be staying for two or three days." Since they were here, they might as well meet some friends and send them invitations; but they couldn’t stay for too long, so as to avoid worrying her grandfather back at home.

Having said this, Mu Lin took out a red invitation from Gong Yu’s bag, "here, take this." Since they were in Ming City, she would personally give it to him.

Ren Laifeng instinctively took it, "What’s this? Sister-in-law, you’re not about to get married to Boss Jing, are you!" That was quick!

He opened it while he spoke. Sure enough, it had names and pictures inside.

It was true.

Boss Jing wearing this suit looked even more handsome than in his military uniform! Boss Jing’s slightly upturned lips were really cool.

"Congratulations, congratulations; Boss Jing is finally getting married." It wasn’t easy. Ren Laifeng thought, aside from Mu Lin, there probably wasn’t anyone else in this world daring enough to marry his boss. No wonder his boss was in such a hurry to tie the knot.

After all, his sister-in-law was quite popular.

"Thank you." Mu Lin’s lips curved upwards in a smile.

Soon after, they chatted for a while before Mu Lin stood to leave.

"Sister-in-law, let me arrange someone to take you to the hotel." He guessed Mu Lin chose to stay at Hongda because it was her first and only choice; he paused a moment before adding, "Also, Sister-in-law, I’ll have your car sent over to the hotel." Since Mu Lin had been in a hurry to leave, she had left her car with him to take care of, so it had been parked at his place all this while.

"Okay." Mu Lin nodded, not rejecting his offer; though, she hadn’t driven that car too many times since she bought it.

Seeing Mu Lin agree, Ren Laifeng immediately stood to make arrangements.

When Mu Lin left, Ren Laifeng returned to his office and immediately made a phone call.

Recently, he had been under a lot of pressure, and Mu Lin’s information had indeed saved him. And there was...Mayor Mo Yinfan; he guessed his pressure probably wasn’t any lighter than his.

Upon arrival at Hongda, the staff remained the same. Even though Mu Lin hadn’t been there for a while, the staff still treated her extremely attentively as they were familiar with her.

Not only because she was their VVIP, but also because they liked her; the VVIP who didn’t put on airs.

It was still the presidential suite, room 2901; this room had almost become Mu Lin’s exclusive room. Except in cases of full booking, this room was typically not rented out.

However, individuals who lived in presidential suites were in the minority after all.

"Sister, how come everyone knows you!" Gong Yu felt as if, upon their arrival, Mu Lin was friends with everyone.

"I lived here for about a month previously." Seeing her every day, it was hard not to get familiar; especially since Hong Mingsheng had given specific instructions in the past.

Gong Yu nodded thoughtfully. On entering the room, she sunk comfortably into the sofa, looking satisfied.

Even though her family was quite rich, this was her first time staying in a presidential suite.

Soon enough, the staff came in to replace some items in Mu Lin’s room.

The staff remembered all of Mu Lin’s preferences very clearly, which again surprised Gong Yu.

Hats off to her sister! Amazing!

Mu Lin took a seat on the sofa, picked up a bottle of water, and was just about to take a sip when her phone suddenly rang.

"Is it your brother-in-law again?" asked Gong Yu out of curiosity.

"No, it’s a friend of mine." Mu Lin raised her eyebrows slightly. She hadn’t expected him to call so soon, and figured it was probably Ren Laifeng who had informed him.

It must have been the higher authority that Ren Laifeng mentioned.

She took a small sip of water and then answered the call, "Hello." Her cold voice left the person on the other end silent for a moment; after a pause, the voice on the other end finally spoke, "Mu Lin."
