Chapter 785: Chapter 526: Every man is naturally talented at flirting (Part 3)_1

Although she had returned to the military camp, Mu Lin didn’t go to see Jing Youlan and the others. After all, it wasn’t the weekend, so she didn’t want to disrupt their training.

That being said, whilst walking towards the exit with Gong Yu, she ran into Jing Youlan and his group, who were in the middle of their weight-carrying running training.

"Mu Lin." When Jing Youlan saw Mu Lin, he called out to her while running, immediately earning himself a warning from the instructor.

Mu Lin waved at them and indicated that she was leaving, and didn’t go over.

Despite their disappointment, seeing Mu Lin made the group happy. Nowadays, running into Mu Lin was indeed a rare event. They wondered if she had finished her tasks yet, and who the pretty girl by her side was. They thought the girl somewhat resembled Mu Lin; their profiles looked similar.

Jing Youlan in particular was excited because he’d received a message from his grandpa that his nephew and niece had arrived and that in a few months, he wouldn’t be the youngest one in the Jing family anymore.

Ha-ha... It felt awesome!

Just thinking about it filled Jing Youlan with joy, causing his comrades to shoot him a glance as if he were an idiot, before waving goodbye to Mu Lin.

Because Gong Yu wanted to take a look at the camp, Mu Lin did not drive straight in. Instead, they walked out of the camp.

"Sis, who was that guy just now?" Gong Yu asked. He looked foolish, but she thought he must be quite interesting.

"Him?" Mu Lin chuckled. "A few of them are comrades from my new recruit training days. The one who just called me, he’s the youngest cousin of Chen." Now, he should be her cousin too.

"My brother-in-law’s brother, huh? They don’t look alike at all. My brother-in-law seems steady and serious while he..." Gong Yu paused as though she found him to be a bit of a playboy.

It had to be said, Gong Yu’s observations were deadly accurate, or better said, brutally honest.

Who knew how upset Jing Youlan would get if he heard this?

He was nowhere close to being a playboy!

Mu Lin could not help but laugh at Gong Yu’s observations, "Your brother-in-law is indeed unique." If all Jing siblings were like this, there definitely would be a problem somewhere.

Although that didn’t necessarily mean a bad thing.

However, on the surface, grandpa may act serious, but in their bones, these three Jing brothers lived to joke around.

Perhaps one could say that all men naturally have a talent for picking up girls.

Just like when Jing Chen once made a proposal to Mu Lin.

Gong Yu agreed with Mu Lin’s statement.

Indeed, there would be no second man like her brother-in-law in this world, for there was only one person as powerful as her sister.

Later, since they had some time, Gong Yu decided to revisit the hospital from the day before and check on the elderly man who was admitted there. So, she asked Mu Lin to drop her off near a fruit store close to the Military Hospital.

Mu Lin did not follow. After all, the people there knew her too well and plus, with the incident from yesterday being posted on the internet (quite a nuisance), it would be better for her, a celebrity in B City, to not stir things up and avoid being surrounded by onlookers.

"Do you want someone to pick you up for lunch later?" Mu Lin asked as she winded down the car window.

Gong Yu replied, "No need, I’ll take a cab back later. I won’t be coming back for lunch." After her visit, she wanted to explore a bit before heading back.

"Alright, take care." After saying that, Mu Lin stepped on the gas and disappeared in no time.

Watching the car fade from sight, Gong Yu laughed, "I wonder if sis has noticed that she’s become more chatty than she used to be." She remembered that initially Mu Lin had a cold demeanor.

However, Gong Yu didn’t mind it all. In fact, she very much liked this change, it showed that her sister cares about her.

Holding the basket of fruits, Gong Yu arrived at the hospital reception desk.

"I would like to inquire about the elderly heart attack patient who was admitted yesterday. Which ward is he in? How is he doing?" Yesterday, after the doctor had taken over, they had left, so she didn’t know what had happened afterwards. She assumed he was fine by now.

"The heart attack patient?" The receptionist pondered. "Let me see... you’re referring to the patient who was brought in yesterday after receiving emergency aid, right? He’s doing well now, has already woken up and he’s in room 712." She continued speaking on her own.

"We’ve had a lot of visitors for him lately. Were you one the girls who performed the emergency aid that I saw on the internet!?" Finally noticing, the receptionist looked at Gong Yu with a surprised and grateful expression, "Thank you for stepping in to help yesterday." She’d heard that they nearly lost the patient at one point. However, she recalled the girl who was with Gong Yu was...the Divine Doctor Mu!

Her gaze instinctively shifted towards the entrance.

"It’s our duty." Gong Yu nodded. "We left in haste yesterday, so we came back today to check on him."

"Thank you so much." After saying this, Gong Yu left to avoid a heap of compliments that would only make her feel uncomfortable. Plus, she felt there was something odd about the way the nurse was looking at her.

Later, when Gong Yu went into room 712, there was a doctor and a nurse with the patient.

She walked over, only to find she had nowhere to place the fruit basket in her hand.

"There do seem to be a lot of visitors." If only there had been so many good Samaritans on the road when the old man had his episode, he wouldn’t have had to suffer so much.

Gong Yu pondered.

"You’re here to see Grandpa too, right?" Just then, the woman wearing a doctor’s uniform turned around. When she saw Gong Yu, she was taken aback. Her face showed confusion and joy, and she instinctively looked towards the door, her disappointment not hard to hide.

She didn’t come, did she?

"Hello." Gong Yu nodded at her, managing to find a spot for her fruit basket and then turned to the elderly man, "Grandpa, are you feeling better?"

"Much better, thank you, young lady." The kids these days were all good kids.

"Grandpa, she’s one of the girls who gave you first aid on the street yesterday and brought you over to our hospital." The female doctor explained to the elderly man with a smile.
