Chapter 564: Chapter 381: The Sky Net is Vast (One More Update)_2

Even if he had no ill intentions.

Tang Qishan thought, if he told her that he sent people to watch her at the airport out of concern for her safety, he doubted she would believe him if she were in his shoes.

Sometimes, explanation is just a mask, it would be better to keep it to himself. Given time, he believed, Mu Lin would realize that he meant no harm.

Tang Qishan didn’t want Mu Lin to resent him.

"Mr. Tang, are you very familiar with everything about C Province?" Mu Lin looked at Tang Qishan, seizing the chance to ask any question she had at the right moment.

"I guess you can say that I’m quite familiar with things here." He had been in Ming City for decades, with all his businesses and family located here. He paused a bit, looking at Mu Lin, "If you don’t mind, don’t call me Mr. Tang. Call me Uncle Tang instead. The term ’Mr.’ sounds too distant."

"Alright, Uncle Tang." Mu Lin didn’t have any particular feeling about how she addressed people. Since Tang Qishan wanted her to call him that, she went along with it. It’s only a form of address, after all.

With a cool gaze, she looked at Tang Qishan, "Uncle Tang, I have a question to ask."

"Is it about that strange man?" Tang Qishan recalled. That should be the reason Mu Lin came to C Province. It was her one and only goal.

Mu Lin nodded, "It’s somewhat related to him." Although she knew that he would actively seek her out, she was not certain what identity he would use to approach her, or the type of people he would send to get close to her.

"Have you, uncle Tang, ever heard of the Net Organization?" Mu Lin remarked. For all this while, all she knew about them was their name. Everything else remained a mystery.

The Net Organization.

Upon hearing these words, Tang Qishan furrowed his brows subconsciously, looked at Mu Lin, "Are you suggesting that the man on the screen the other day is from the Net Organization?"

"Exactly." Mu Lin nodded, observing Tang Qishan’s reaction, it seemed like he had heard of the organization; which might suggest, that this organization truly existed in C Province, "Uncle Tang, you’ve heard of them." This was not a question but a statement.

It seemed that she was on the right path this time.

"Of course I have." Tang Qishan’s face turned somewhat icy, "In Ming City, nearly every member of a powerful family has heard of this organization called the ’Net’, they all know of their existence, some even know how to contact them." It was a common phenomenon in C Province.

"This organization is no secret in Ming City. They offer paid murder services - if you can afford it, you can hire them to kill anyone. And they hardly ever fail."

"However, nobody knows their exact location, or how many members they have. It’s a ’secret’ in our society." A ’secret’ everybody acknowledges yet chooses to remain silent about. They all kept quiet because the organization was too dangerous.

"Mu Lin, how did you get involved with them?" Tang Qishan asked worriedly after looking into Mu Lin’s eyes.

How did she get involved?

Upon hearing this, Mu Lin sneered coldly, "Maybe you should be asking, how did they get involved with me." How could someone like her, who lives in almost complete seclusion, possibly be the one to provoke them?

Listening to Mu Lin’s retort and recalling the conversation Mu Lin had with the masked man, Tang Qishan could guess a bit, "It’s related to your Master."" In addition to that, he couldn’t think of any other alternatives.

Mu Jue; he remembered her name.

Mu Lin and Mu Jue, both have the surname Mu. Tang Qishan was somewhat lost in thought.

Mu Lin remained silent only gazing at Tang Qishan, "Do you know how to find them?" Compared to being passive, she rather prefer taking the initiative.

Unfortunately, hearing Mu Lin’s question, Tang Qishan slowly shook his head, "Nobody knows how to find them. They always take the initiative to reach out to us. Whoever needs to be dealt with, they seem to know it all. When the time comes, they will have someone appear before you, just like..."

"Just like someone was always watching you, right?" a chill in her eyes, Mu Lin remarked coldly.

Sure enough, C Province was their stronghold. Of course, Mu Lin didn’t forget that the Black Star previously told her that the training base of this broken Net Organization was located on a separate island.

Sadly, no one knows where that place is.

Tang Qishan nodded, "That’s one of the reasons why everyone keeps their mouth shut." If someone wanted to act against them, they’d be afraid that they would become the next target. Compared to their own life, everything else is immaterial.

Moreover, as long as the organization continues to exist, if they want to deal with someone, they can simply hire them for a fee. For a problem that could be solved with money, why not keep the organization around?

Even the police were helpless against this unanimous mindset and selfish motive.

Hearing Tang Qishan’s words, Mu Lin sneered. Aside from despising some people, she gained newfound understanding of the Net Organization’s power.

Did the Net catch everything without any leaks?

Using such a phrase here, Mu Lin felt that it was ridiculously ironic.
