After wrapping the wound, Xiu Fan and Yang Zhou were instructed to carry the patient into a different room, because the operating room had been littered with blood and needed to be cleaned and disinfected.

The emergency room door swung open revealing Wang Guozhen, who got rushed again at the sight of the woman. This time, however, it wasn’t a shock that nearly toppled him over.

"Doctor, how is my husband doing?" She felt as though she’d been waiting for ages, her eyes filled with anticipation as she looked at Wang Guozhen. By now, Zhao Wen had also joined them, standing next to Wang Guozhen and Mu Lin.

These people have finally shown up after so many days.

Wang Guozhen, with a smile on his face, reassured the woman. "He’s been saved, rest assured. He just needs to rest for a few days. I’ll prescribe him some medication to remove the blood stasis. After ingesting it, and once the wound forms a scab, he’ll be fine." The woman subconsciously heaved a sigh of relief, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Doctor Wang. Really, thank you so much." She had genuinely thought that her husband couldn’t be saved.

For the average person, seeing so much blood can indeed be terrifying enough to assume the worst.

However, upon hearing the woman’s words, Wang Guozhen shook his head, causing the woman to look at him in confusion. Wang Guozhen chuckled and said, "Actually, the person you should thank isn’t me." He wasn’t keen on taking this gravy.

"Her?" The woman was puzzled, not because she didn’t believe Wang Guozhen’s words, but because... Mu Lin was too immaculate to have possibly looked like she had just saved a life.

Mu Lin sided. "This has nothing to do with me. The person who saved him is Doctor Wang." It’s indeed true, the final lifesaver was Wang Guozhen. She wasn’t lying.

Wang Guozhen, puzzled, looked at Mu Lin, not understanding why she would deny it. Mu Lin just smiled nonchalantly and shook her head ever so slightly.

She won’t be frequenting this place in future. Therefore, giving her the credit would simply go to waste.

For Wang Guozhen, the only thing he thought about Mu Lin was that she was an inscrutable woman.

Oh my... She was so complex that it was tough for him, an older man with decades more life experience, to figure out what she was really up to.

Shortly, Xiu Fan and the other person brought the patient out. The woman probably wasn’t in the mood to dwell on it anyway. Only Zhao Wen, who had been standing on the side, showed some contemplative expressions watching Wang Guozhen and Mu Lin.

He trusted what Wang Guozhen had said, but the immaculateness of Mu Lin’s attire was indeed surprising.

He had heard about Wang Guozhen’s reputation, and after spending some time with him, he admired his forthrightness. If it weren’t for Wang Guozhen’s genuine care and explanations to the newbies, he himself might not have been so patient with them.

Compared with Zhao Wen, Wang Guozhen indeed had more seniority.

Mu Lin turned around and said softly to Wang Guozhen, "I came to see how everything was going. It turns out, leaving it in the hands of you guys was the right decision." She smiled, "I hope in the future Doctor Wang and Doctor Zhao can continue to manage this clinic well." If not, they’d have to shut the place down.

She paused before continuing, "Guess I’ll be leaving Ming City in a few days. If anything comes up, you can call me." She might visit C Province before heading to B City. Recently, she found it hard to leave Jing Chen behind.

She had originally planned to stay for three months, but it had only been one month and she was already restless.

Mu Lin smiled. Jing Chen had had quite an impact on her.

"Doctor Mu is leaving?" Wang Guozhen was somewhat taken aback.

Mu Lin laughed, "Actually, I should let you know, I’m a military doctor. I can’t stay out here for long. I originally came to Ming City to settle a few things, and now that they’re done with, I should be heading back."

She didn’t hide anything.

This piece of information about Mu Lin surprised both Wang Guozhen and Zhao Wen.

They never thought Mu Lin would have such an identity. But why did she run a clinic here if she was a military doctor?

Though they wondered, neither asked.

Just then Xiu Fan came out of the room. Mu Lin turned to him, "Xiu Fan, come with me." She turned back to Wang Guozhen and the rest, "Take care of things here."

With that, she headed out, Xiu Fan following closely behind.

Watching them leave, Wang Guozhen couldn’t help but laugh. Looking at Zhao Wen by his side, he remarked, "Our boss is possibly the world’s greatest operator with a totally hands-off management style."

Zhao Wen agreed, nodding.

Isn’t that the truth!

"Oh my god! I forgot something really important!" Wang Guozhen facepalmed himself. How could he forget to inquire about those things he had just seen.

Oh... The old age had really begun to take a toll on his memory.

Zhao Wen smiled lightly at the sight of the panicky Wang Guozhen.
