Chapter 425: Chapter 299 Interview (Third Update)_1
"Let’s leave him be, let him continue to be moved on his own." Saying that, the two turned around and left, and the person who was left gasped and quickly caught up.
Where did the brotherhood go? Just left him like that, it’s just too heartbreaking, ever so painful.
Zhou Yujun was clutching his chest in pain.
However, all their small actions could finally begin!
"Bang bang bang..." When the three of them completely disappeared, the unmanned corners of the base went off like fireworks. Naturally, some of them were not corners, but some important spots. The next moment, people inside the base started to take emergency action, searching for enemies who may have already infiltrated their camp.
At the moment they started to move, Jing Youlan and his team, who had been waiting outside, also began to move.
The people inside the base, feeling the smoke billowing around them, had a look of helplessness on their faces. They had made a sacrifice; it looked like guarding the base was much more dangerous than the front line!
Unfortunately, everyone was still unable to locate the enemy’s ambush point.
"It seems that their commander is indeed not here." Otherwise they would never allow such chaos, and it’s surprising they are letting less important figures lead.
Looks like Jing Youlan and his team have good luck this time.
The Red Army’s operational base.
"Just received news from the front line, the Blue Army’s base was ambushed by our people and is now completely wiped out. However, their commander was not in the base." The sharpshooter Hexilian reported to the commander of the Red Army, though his mind was already elsewhere.
The commander raised his eyebrows, his eyes staring intently, asking, "Oh, who commanded this operation plan? Looks like they should be credited." This was indeed good news.
He shook his head, "No one commanded."
The commander frowned, puzzled, "What do you mean?"
"Our arranged people hadn’t arrived to ambush the Blue Army’s base yet when the news came." He looked at the commander and said, "I have a guess, I don’t know if I should say it." In the eyes of the commander, this seemed like he was beating around the bush.
If he shouldn’t say it, how dare he speak it out.
"You say." The commander smiled faintly, scanned him with a look and walked to the other side.
"If I’m not wrong, the deed should have been done by the new recruits we recently gathered." Those boys, it seemed, had taken action. Although he felt these boys were disobedient and daring, what they did was indeed good, at least by a surprise.
New recruits? The commander turned around, "Are you referring to..." He’d probably heard of these new recruits.
"Yes." He nodded, "The new recruits trained by Ling Qi; and among them, either born into an aristocratic family or rich family. To be honest, I’m somewhat shocked with them." It’s been said that aristocratic families’ sons are usually profligate. Although the reputation of the ones we accepted this time wasn’t that good, he still believed that even in the past, these people could not have been true prodigal sons.
Daring and resourceful, can these traits be linked with prodigal sons? He didn’t believe it!
He continued with a faint smile, "Because of Blue Army’s previous attack, they lost contact with us, besides our couple of new recruits, there are also those from four companies. These kids were buddies in the new recruit team back then, I guess only this bunch of kids dare to act without orders." The meaning in his words somewhat seemed blaming, but in his tone, a sense of indescribable pride was also felt.
After all, they had accomplished a merit.
The commander laughed out loud, "Indeed a group of daring kids, who dare to even attack the enemy headquarters, haha... all I can say is, well done!"
There were boys from the Jing family and Xue family, it seemed that their teams were now blessed with a lot of talents.
Such disposition, such daring, the commander was very satisfied; especially Jing’s and Xue’s, they were part of China’s military clans, any one of them would have been extraordinary.
For real talents, occasionally being disobedient didn’t matter, some peculiar talents indeed can be treated specially.
After pausing for a bit, the commander continued his order, "Arrange for people to urgently search for their moving base, also." He looked at him with a smile, "You send people to bring back those daring boys, they destroyed their base, I suppose they’ll surely attack them for revenge."
Upon hearing this, he was stunned, then broke into a laugh, "Yes." Indeed, he almost forgot. The commander of the Blue Army was quite a headstrong guy, who was vindictive about such matters and could definitely pull off something like this.
Seems like he needs to speed up.
As expected, the first thing the opponent’s commander did when he received the news was to arrange manpower to root out the brats who had dared to bomb his base and annihilate them.
Damn it, his perfectly good plan was ruined by this bunch of kids.
Pity though, the group of kids he wanted to root out was crafty. It’s not that easy for him to wipe them out.
Jing Youlan said, this operation was really fucking thrilling! Awesome!
...
The next day, around 10 a.m., Mu Lin received a call from Hong Mingsheng. He said everything had been completed, and now it was time for her to inspect personally; of course, she also had to check out some of the people he had helped recruit. Whether they would stay or leave, in the end, it was up to Mu Lin to decide.
The salary Mu Lin offered was high, even several times that of some places, and most importantly, no work experience was required. There were quite a lot of people who came in person to interview and apply, some were even intending to switch jobs.
Of course, in addition to new recruits, experienced Chinese Medicine practitioners were also needed. After all, it was impossible for Mu Lin to stay in this place every day and it would not be feasible to leave everything to the rookies.
The reason for opening this Poison Doctor Pavilion was simple: Mu Lin wanted to show those secretly watching her that she, Mu Lin, was back in action. She was here waiting for them. If they have the guts, let them come.
Hong Mingsheng was somewhat puzzled as to why Mu Lin named an otherwise good Medical Pavilion as Poison Doctor Pavilion. Isn’t she known as the "Divine Doctor Mu"? Using the old reputation in B City directly would ensure business, wouldn’t it?
It seemed like Hong Mingsheng didn’t really understand the reputation of the Poison Doctor. However, there should still be quite a few people in Ming City who have heard of the Poison Doctor’s fame.
When they arrived at the Medical Pavilion, young graduates and old Chinese medicine practitioners who had passed Hong Mingsheng’s screening were already waiting in the main hall, a total of about a dozen or two. It’s surprising that there are still so many people studying Chinese medicine, and these were just the selected ones.
When they saw Mu Lin appear before them, while the one who had originally invited them in, Hong Mingsheng, was following behind her, some of them revealed surprise and curiosity in their eyes, but their expressions didn’t change much, after all, they were here for a second round of interviews.
Mu Lin casually walked to an open seat in the middle of them, leaned slightly back in her chair.
"Sit." She said, with a slight lift of her lip’s corner. It didn’t seem like an interview at all, yet it exuded an indescribable aura of being the head.
After looking at each other, people slowly took their seats. But some had to stand as there weren’t enough seats for everyone.
Jing Chen and Hong Mingsheng sat down not too far in front of Mu Lin. After all, they couldn’t participate in or understand such matters. All they had to do was to sit back and watch.
To help with the recruitment and screening, Hong Mingsheng had specifically invited a highly respected old Chinese medicine practitioner. He had no choice, he didn’t know anything about medicine.
"First, tell me why you chose to come here." Mu Lin looked at the crowd with a smile. Her eyes were still nonchalant, "Remember, I like hearing the truth." Fraught with silent tension, she shifted her gaze to a very young handsome face, "You, start first."
The person nodded, was about to stand up but was stopped by Mu Lin.
She couldn’t help it. Lately, she had been talked down to by those boreish individuals. While she sat, she doesn’t like someone standing while talking to her.
"My name is Meng Xingyi, just graduated from school, majored in Chinese medicine. It’s not easy to find a job in Chinese medicine. I’ve tried many places but got rejected everywhere because I’m a rookie. I came here because I saw that you’re willing to hire beginners in Chinese medicine," he paused and said somewhat sheepishly, "Of course, there’s another reason. The salary offered here is higher than any place I’ve interviewed." After all, who doesn’t like a high-paying job?
Mu Lin nodded, her gaze fell on another person. She didn’t question everyone individually. But a random check revealed that apart from a few who were there for very personal reasons, the main reason was the high remuneration.
Be it for experienced Chinese Medicine practitioners or newbies, the remuneration was more than double the market rate. Many people couldn’t get their heads around it. And upon seeing Mu Lin, such a young boss, they were guessing whether this young lady really knew Chinese medicine, or she was just playing around with money.
As for them, as long as the salary is high, the identity of the boss hardly matters.
Mu Lin didn’t particularly care about this. The salary was simply an arbitrary figure. Mu Lin only told Hong Mingsheng once that the remuneration at their place should be based on a multiplier of what other Chinese Medicine Clinics are offering.
This is not a safe place by any means. She can afford to offer even higher salaries. But Mu Lin is pondering, if she tells them certain truths, how many of them would willingly and courageously stay here?
