Chapter 311: Chapter 232: Not Enough to Practice On (Third Update) _2
If he’s seeking for trouble, then why should she hold back?
Her gaze turned sharp, before she could act, a female voice rang out from the side, "I’ve already called the police." The boy beside the girl did not even have time to cover her mouth, he could only watch the gang of boys in terror.
Looking at the sports cars in front of him, the boy knew he absolutely couldn’t offend them. Moreover, he thought Mu Lin was merely being harassed and it wouldn’t lead to any serious problems. However, he didn’t expect his girlfriend would actually interfere.
Immediately, he shielded the girl behind him and said: "No one’s called the police, she was just joking."
Unfortunately, the girl stubbornly retorted, "I wasn’t joking." Truth be told, she hadn’t called the police, she merely hoped to scare them away. Unfortunately, she was rather naive.
The one thing these guys are least afraid of is the police.
...
Mu Lin swept her gaze lightly across the scene, seeing that even though the girl was clearly frightened, she was still speaking up for herself, Mu Lin’s lips curved slightly in amusement.
It was indeed rare. She remembered how in this material world, these people were most afraid of meddling in others’ affairs. Especially the man in front of her, who seemed quite wealthy. After all, many onlookers were purely there for the show. Even if she was forcibly dragged into a car right now, no one would probably say a word.
Human hearts, indeed!
Mu Lin could really relate because she, herself, was not a big fan of meddling in others’ affairs; the only difference between them was that she never knew what fear was!
The boy cast a sidelong glance at the girl. He merely gave a slight nod, and the man behind him instantly understood, promptly walked over to the girl, pushed away the boy blocking her, snatched the girl’s phone, not even taking a look at it, and immediately smashed it on the ground. A sinister smile played on his lips, "This is just a warning. Mind your own business."
Mu Lin clearly saw the fear, defiance and tears welling up in the girl’s eyes as she bit her lower lip and sternly stared at the man who had just smashed her phone.
Repressing a cold laugh, the boy in front of Mu Lin turned back towards her, "Let’s continue... talking." He couldn’t believe that he wouldn’t be able to coax her into his car today.
Even if she was not completely willing, in front of so many people, he didn’t care about losing face. At worst, he could use force.
"Why not." Mu Lin smiled, "What do you want to talk about?"
"How about we discuss... us?" Seeing Mu Lin take the bait, the boy’s eyes filled with triumph, "How about coming with me? We will take you to an incredibly fun place." He gestured towards his impressive sports car.
"That won’t do. My friend hasn’t come back yet." Mu Lin shook her head after hesitating for a moment.
"What’s the big deal? Just call your friend and let them know." Seeing Mu Lin taking the bait, the boy smirked arrogantly, feeling victorious; as expected, women are so quick to compromise.
Just in an instant, her boyfriend transformed into a friend. He should really worry about the guy’s taste in women.
Beautiful women are always fickle; as long as you have money or power, what’s lacking?
"Let’s go." He slowly reached out towards Mu Lin.
"Sure." Mu Lin smiled at the boy in front of her. Her charming eyes squinted in amusement.
However, just as his words fell and before he could react, his hand which was slowly reaching out to her was suddenly caught. With a "crack" sound, Mu Lin’s move was neat and clean without any sloppiness.
"So, do you still want to take me away?" She tilted her chin up with a chilling look on her face, her expression suddenly changing in the next moment, filled with regret, "I am sorry, I forgot to mention, I never like strangers getting too close to me, especially presumptuous ones."
Really, she had already warned them, to not get any closer.
"Ah..." The sound of bone cracking followed by a painful scream was heard. Astonishingly, the man fell backwards. He hadn’t expected Mu Lin to lash out, noticeably terrifying the couples who were watching the spectacle.
What just... happened? The sudden change of attitude was too quick, wasn’t it?
"Are you alright?" After being shocked for a moment, a few men hurried over to the boy to check on him. They absolutely couldn’t believe that Mu Lin would suddenly lash out.
