Chapter 310: Chapter 232: Not Enough to Practice On (Third Update) _1
"True that," agreed another guy cuddling up with a woman, "Women, well, as long as you have money, a snap of your fingers and they’ll unabashedly fall into your arms, right baby?"
The woman giggled, calling him naughty. Still, she snuggled closer to him causing him to throw back his head and laugh, basking in his smug satisfaction.
Yes, that’s women for ya.
"Let’s go and take a closer look." A close examination to appreciate real beauty.
One of the guys suggested, and the rest concurred. They got into their cars, driving a stylish arc to stop en masse right in front of Mu Lin. It was a truly showy and pompous scene.
Too bad that Mu Lin didn’t even bother to lift her eyelashes to look.
As the car doors opened, one, two, three, four, four cars, in all, four guys and two girls stepped out. They headed towards Mu Lin together, instantly drawing attention from the couples nearby.
"Hey, gorgeous." A flippant voice resonated in Mu Lin’s ears. The man raised an eyebrow and struck an exceedingly flippant pose, revealing a smile he believed could charm any woman on the streets.
Simply put, he was showing off and acting high and mighty.
However, it was a pity that the beautiful woman in front of him didn’t even spare him a glance as if she was searching for something.
Mu Lin wondered what Jing Chen was up to, and why he hadn’t returned yet.
The guys looked at each other, then at Mu Lin. One of them let go of the woman he’d been holding and stepped in front of Mu Lin, "Hello, beautiful. Are you waiting for someone? Would you be open to sharing who you’re waiting for?" He flicked car keys in front of Mu Lin’s eyes as though intentionally provoking her.
A triumphant smirk crossed his lips. He didn’t believe that she could resist.
Nobody could deny that Mu Lin’s attire clearly suggested it was the kind worn by an ordinary person. Thus, she had been labeled as poor.
Finally, Mu Lin lifted her eyes slowly and glanced briefly at the self-proclaimed handsome man standing in front of her. Her chilly voice was devoid of any warmth, "Are you speaking to me?"
Facing her indifferent eyes, the young man inexplicably shivered, then laughed it off, "Well, who else could it be? Are there any other beauties here?"
"I don’t believe I know you." Her icy gaze left him, as Mu Lin stepped back, not wanting to see him - or else she was fearful she might hurt him.
But he was nowhere near done with her, interpreting her withdrawal as a coy advance, a deliberate attempt to whet his appetite. He stepped closer once again, "Sweetie, you haven’t answered my question yet, who are you waiting for? Or perhaps... are you waiting for your boyfriend?" As the word ’boyfriend’ came out, his eyes flashed arrogance.
He presumed it would be just an ordinary, unremarkable guy.
Feeling a sense of pity, he continued, "Your man really is something, leaving a beauty like you standing alone in the cold like this. It’s heartbreaking." Oblivious to his one-man show, the group behind him kept whistling and sighing.
Honestly, the weather wasn’t even cold.
Watching the man before her, Mu Lin suddenly smiled faintly, stunning the man momentarily. Unfortunately, her mild smile didn’t reach her eyes, "If you take one more step closer, I won’t hesitate to... take you down." Her tone was indifferent, but her threat sent a chill down everyone’s spine.
The sense of danger radiated, causing everyone around to shiver. One of her onlookers had a complex look. His intuition whispered that the girl was dangerous, he just couldn’t put his finger on how.
Despite her seemingly soft exterior.
Although he felt a brief chill, it didn’t particularly affect the womanizing playboy before Mu Lin. He ignored her warning, stepping closer again with a malicious grin, "Woman, you’ve successfully caught my attention." He still believed that Mu Lin was simply playing hard to get. After all, in his view, weren’t all women like that?
Everything, was for money.
The mocking curve around her mouth disappeared. Mu Lin’s patience had completely run out.
