Chapter 258: Chapter 204: Intrigue and Counterplot (Second Update) _1

On a night lit only by a dim moon, a perfect setting for murder and arson!

Er... That seems a bit off; nonetheless, that’s not important. What’s important is...

At dawn, precisely when the hands of the clock pointed to three, the person on the bed suddenly opened his eyes. As he shifted slightly, he found himself firmly embraced by a pair of hands. Looking at the magnified handsome face before him, Mu Lin recalled the events of the past evening. What best described him then was: shameless.

Mu Lin didn’t know that Jing Chen’s current behavior largely originated from the perverse ideas of his gang of friends, Ying Sun included: utter shamelessness, complemented by relentless persistence.

Any method is a good one, as long as it can win him his sweetheart.

Last evening.

After washing his face, Mu Lin stepped out of the bathroom to see a man brazenly lounging on the not-so-big bed, taking up half of the space. Mu Lin’s face darkened instantly. "Sir, it’s not proper for a man and a woman to be alone in a room. You should return home," who would abandon their home like this?

However, in response to Mu Lin’s words, Jing Chen just languidly shifted his body, propped his head on one hand, and patted the space next to him with his other bony hand. The corners of his mouth curved into a tempting smile. "Linlin, it’s late, we should rest." His skin could not get any thicker, comparable to a city wall.

Observing the man before him, Mu Lin felt as if the tightly wound strings in his brain had suddenly snapped! His eyes darkened, and the man on the bed sent a chill down his spine.

"You’re not telling me that I have to share a bed with you tonight, are you?" Mu Lin’s voice was cold, containing an unspeakable iciness, "Even though we are cooperating, that doesn’t mean I’ll allow you to get this close to me." Time and again.

Nevertheless, despite seeing Mu Lin like this, Jing Chen merely smiled. "Linlin, have you forgotten? You said it, and so did I - I’m all yours." He remembered this very clearly. "If I’m all yours, then what’s wrong with us sharing a bed?"

Mu Lin raised an eyebrow; it seemed logical enough, but this felt a bit off.

"I better get another room." Mu Lin turned around, intending to walk out without even a hint of hesitation. Yet, the very next moment...

After hearing those words, "thump thump", Mu Lin admitted that his heart fluttered. The hand that was prepared to shove was promptly withdrawn. "Are you serious?"

"I’m at your service anytime." Seriously, just to woo a sweetie, Jing Chen had used every trick in the book - deception, cheating, and manipulation. The only thing he could be thankful for was that Mu Lin seemed to be particularly interested in his body, which would be his ace in the hole.

...

After hearing this, Mu Lin frowned and thought carefully. Indeed, it seemed reasonable. After a pause, he said, "In that case, could you let go of me first?" He cannot explore with the man pressing against him.

Well, he was looking forward to it.

Truth be told, Mu Lin understood the male physique very well. However,

she had never seen any of it for herself. As the saying goes, seeing is believing; Jing Chen was the only specimen Mu Lin found intriguing. If it came to other men, she’d rather kill them first; then again, that would sort of run counter to the purpose.

She didn’t even know why, perhaps it was because there were no factors in this man, Jing Chen, that repelled her subconsciously.

If turned into a human specimen, he would look pretty interesting.

God knows what Jing Chen’s reaction would be if he knew that Mu Lin was comparing him to a cadaver, and was even tempted to use him as a specimen.

...

Oh right, back to the story.

Her eyes full of contemplation.

Jing Chen couldn’t think of anyone else who could maintain such a clear mind at times like this. Fresh mind, clear eyes, only Mu Lin could manage it.

Anyway, he couldn’t do it; if he could remain so calm in front of the woman he loved, then he wouldn’t be a man.

Seeing himself reflected in those clear and pure eyes, Jing Chen knew...

Seizing the moment, he took Mu Lin, who was lost in thought, into his embrace and held him tight. "Linlin, I love you." He loved him far too much, so much that it hurt. Even he didn’t know when he had fallen so deeply for the girl in his arms.

What a strange feeling.

Mu Lin had never experienced this before; it was as if time stood still. When Mu Lin snapped out of his daze...

...

Mu Lin wanted to poison him yet at the next moment, hesitations and sadness filled his heart.

She didn’t like this feeling.

"Linlin, good morning." Then, at that moment, the pair of deep, black eyes before her opened. Looking at Mu Lin, a smile pulled at the corners of Jing Chen’s mouth. "Linlin,"

Mu Lin claimed that she hadn’t studied it and didn’t know anything about it.
