Chapter 524: By The Order of the Martial Order

“Then… You shall die.”

Death Merchant uttered with the coldness of a thousand winters in his voice, and with a single step, he began approaching Pankratios.

However, at that moment, the sound of the gunshot shook the sky and frightened the running audience members.

A golden bullet headed towards Death Merchant’s forehead, but before it could land, he sidestepped it effortlessly.

“You’re not alone, it seems. Now I understand the foolish confidence that you’re carrying.”

Death Merchant growled and looked to the top of the stadium—a handsome man was holding a long-barreled revolver.

The cameras turned over to him, and his face was displayed in every household that was currently watching the broadcast!

“C-Could that be… Am I seeing it right? Yes, it’s indeed him. It is the Fleet Admiral of the Navy. The strongest powerhouse of the seas has come to our rescue!”

The commentator shouted excitedly.

When that voice reached the panicking citizens, a ray of hope bloomed in their hearts—it was marvelous news.

The strongest navy officer, the hero of the innocent, Fleet Admiral Xerxus Stroud, had arrived!

It was a very rare sighting, as he rarely left the Navy Headquarters over in the Navy Fort, as he had taken more of a background role.

However, he was still the top-ranking navy officer, and his word was the most important one, so even the all-powerful Navy Admirals had to heed it.

Xerxus cocked his revolver, pointed it towards the dark-eyed man, and put his finger on the trigger.

Death Merchant’s gaze wasn’t working on him either.

It was because Xerxus had also entered the Immortal Stage—he was at the early stages of False Immortal!

Nightingale, Abracadabra Castle.

“It’s Lord Stroud!”

Armstrong said with a voice of worship.

He’d been intensely following the stories of Xerxus ever since he was a child, dreaming of one day reaching the same level of power and prestige.

“Fleet Admiral…”

Karl-Michael crossed his arms with a slight smile on his face.

“Zeus…”

Nevaeh whispered with tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

She was able to see how her son, despite having a chance to escape, chose to return and help Kiernan, even though it resulted in him getting very seriously injured.

She was feeling a great pride blooming in her heart, but ever since the two young men disappeared into the ground, none of them had seen any sighting of them.

However, since the stranger was currently busy, she believed that her son was currently safe.

In the audience, the deceased men and women—also some children—writhed awake, and with green eyes like emeralds, they all stood up like zombies and began moving towards the arena.

When the commentator saw that, a scream escaped his mouth.

“What in the world is happening this time around? Those who died are suddenly alive again? Did they not die after all?

“They are all moving rather strangely, as if they were zombies or puppets controlled by light strings!”

Xerxus looked at the sight with a frown and spat out.

“What a disgusting power. No rest for the innocent and wicked when he is around, huh? It’s a power suitable for the progenitor of evil!”

With a wave of his hand, Imperius commanded the thousands of people to jump over the railing and land on the floor of the arena.

However, because of the height, many of them broke legs in landing, and some had their heads crushed, but despite all that, they stood up and kept walking.

The camera turned to Imperius, who was sitting on the edge of the audience stands, waving his hand, and commanded the zombies to start running.

With awkward running, the zombies rushed at the Death Merchant and surrounded him in a matter of seconds.

“You have a power of death in your side. Maybe you can become the follower of the Death when you come to the realm beyond!”

Death Merchant said coldly and spread his arms wide—black mist oozed out of his body and fogged the area near him.

With a staff in hand, Pankratios jumped away from the black mist and watched as the zombies, when they touched the black mist, decayed into nothingness.

“It looks like now another person has appeared alongside the Fleet Admiral of the Navy and the man before him.

“Who is he…? Wait a moment… No, no… Can’t be!”

The commentator turned frightened, dropped from his chair, and pointed at the screen with a trembling finger.

“I-It’s Imperius! W-Why is the Pirate Immortal here, and why is he with the Fleet Admiral of the Navy? This doesn’t make any sense!”

In thousands of the households, every person watching looked horrified and thought that even greater evil had arrived in the God Island, but it looked like he was helping the Fleet Admiral.

It made everyone think that they were dreaming or something.

It was known to all the everlasting feud between the Fleet Admiral and the Pirate Immortal—they’ve been fighting for centuries, and whenever they met, the islands would sink, tsunamis would rise, and volcanoes would erupt.

Xerxus jumped off the road and landed beside Pankratios, and with a stinky side-eye, watched as Imperius walked over with his hands inside his pockets.

“Death Merchant… I’ve read about him in the Dark Bible. What an interesting creature. If this fight happened in Hell, we would stand no chance.

“However, it looks like he is at High Stage of False Immortal in the Mortal Realm. That’s good; we can handle that much.”

Imperius said.

“I am ruining my reputation fighting alongside you. How can I look in the eyes of my navy soldiers after this? Tch, shit luck.”

Xerxus said coldly.

“Enough. We must stop him before he causes any more chaos.”

Pankratios said, pointed his staff towards the sky, and shouted.

“By the order of the Martial Order, close the space around us!”

His voice echoed through the air, into the cameras, and into the ears of the those watching from the safety of their homes.

The words “Martial Order” echoed in their ears.

A purple orb shot out from the top of his staff—it reached the sky—and a purple dome enclosed the arena, trapping the three of them inside.
